Dr. Ralph Francis Shepstone

Dr. Shepstone is kind, thoughtful and caring. He listens to you as you explain what is bothering you, he examines you and then gives you your treatment options and helps you to chose which plan to take. I have been seeing him since about 1987 or 88 when he first started practicing. 13 years ago I moved to Bourbonnais, Il and I drive 92 miles, one-way for my appointments. Not only is Dr. Shepstone an excellent dentist but he is assisted by a top notch staff who treat you like you are their only patient. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist they can trust.

Dr. Ralph Shepstone has treated me for over twenty years. He is terrific! He and his staff are very kind and professional. The office and equipment are state of the art, and I feel I get the best of care. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Shepstone for whatever your dental needs may be.

Dr. Shepstone is the Gold Standard of dentists. His outstanding team, are by far the finest dental care I have ever received and I’ve had many very fine dentists in my life. He has for example, researched and uses the most effective anesthetics to provide a painless experience for the patient. And is enthusiastic about all new dental procedures and innovations, for the benefit of same. Dr. Shepstone is a very competent and knowledgeable dentist. I am very glad that I found him. To be honest he is the best dentist I have ever seen in my life. He takes extra time to describe all options and the total procedure that you may need for your teeth. In addition he is very friendly and caring. He called me after treatment and asked how I was! I totally trust Dr. Shepstone regarding any treatment advices and recommend him to anyone who are looking for a good dentist. By the way he has a great and super professional staff. Dr. Shepstone has been my dentist for over 30 years. I can't say enough good things about him and his practice. He is a fantastic listener and always takes time to understand any questions or concerns I have, and he does an excellent job of explaining procedures and providing alternatives. I have needed him a couple times for emergencies, and he has always seen me immediately including one New Year's Eve when his office was closed. His facilities and equipment are excellent and regularly get upgraded. He is a fantastic dentist and a really good guy. I have referred friends and colleagues to him, and I offer my highest recommendation.

I have been to so many dentist that I can’t even count how many. I finally found one I like. Doc Shepstone and staff make me feel so comfortable in their care. Highly recommend them if you are looking for dental care.

I am a traveling professional working in Chicago for a major insurance carrier. I googled dentist near me and found Dr. Shepstone. Their office is open on Mondays until 7pm. I called and asked if I could be seen tonight. She came back to the phone and said yes. This unbelievable staff took care of me with the upmost care and kindness making me feel like family. I’ve been seeing Dr. Sheptsone and his staff for 5 years now. Although I now live 40 miles away, I continue to see Dr. Shepstone because of his warm, relaxed office setting and first-rate care from the friendly and compassionate staff. A regular dental checkup has become almost like visiting a spa. Came to Dr. Shepstone with broken tooth about 2011? Did full X-rays, cleaned up, did root canal, rebuilt tooth and prep for crown, made/mounted temp crown. Replaced with permanent and showed me X-Rays indicating I had at least 3 other molars that were fractured and would need to be dealt with over time. Most recent visit more of the same. After these several years now having had my teeth re-habilitated; I had teeth cleaned only to find another molar with an old filling had cracked. So, Dr. "Painless" RALPH, set upon removing major Silver filling, and cleaning/inspecting the tooth, building it up, took impression for permanent crown and apply the temp. A LOT of work, but clean, efficient, needed a touch extra Novocain, no worries, done deal. Dr. Shepstone regularly asks patient status, if need rinse, break, Novocain, etc. His Dental Hygienists are equally kindly and sensitive to the patient's comfort and are very informative. For those who are into being distracted or otherwise entertained during long procedures. Dr. Shepstone has full run movies/videos. Quite a far cry from the sterile cold treatment I grew up with many decades ago. DR. Shepstone rules the TOP of my recommendations. I have been going to Dr. Shepstone for 7 years. Dr. Shepstone is a great dentist for those who are sheepish about going to the dentist. Patient comfort is #1 and he will do anything he can to make sure you're not experiencing any pain. He explains any problems thoroughly, gives you options, and helps you weigh all the pros and cons.
