This place is terrible, hands down the worst doctors office I've ever visited.

Dr. Ortiz is a highly-skilled pain management doctor. He is the best at steroid injections. He has injected my SI joints in my lower back and also my shoulder, keeping me from having surgery. He is also highly skilled at manipulations. I have seen several doctors for my back and shoulders and Dr. Ortiz is simply the Best! And he has a great staff !!Thank you all!

I am 34 and have had multiple failed back surgeries , including a fusion . He is the first doctor that has listened and helped get my pain manageable. I know i will never be pain free but I can do so much more on my own after seeing him, and even enjoy some things I did previously to my injuries. He is the first doctor in a long time to give me hope! So thank you Dr.Ortiz !

Absolutely unbelievable. I waited two weeks for someone to simply look at my referral from pain management specialist I was fortunate enough to travel to. Each time I called Dr. Ortiz’s office no one could answer any questions or address concerns, I was told each time that my name was written down and I’d receive a phone call. Two weeks passed and I had yet to receive a call back. I reached out to my pain management specialist and his office called, within 3 minutes they were able to find out Dr. Ortiz doesn’t accept the Empire Plan insurance. Two weeks and not a single individual even glimpsed at my paperwork to see my medical insurance coverage. It’s offices like this that make individuals with real, documented medical conditions who are suffering lose faith in specialist and doctors in general. Don’t waste your time, or your health. Referred to Dr.by my primary whom I trust. He and his staff have always been tremendous.Helpful, knowledgeable, etc . Is willing to try different forms of relief. Appreciate his/there help with chronic pain. Seems a lot of people start reviews with saying "im not an addict", neither am I. Work 60 hrs a week on feet so...

I have been seeing Doc for years and I can assure everyone and anyone I am NOT an addict! Doc has done so much for me in the years I have been going there it is unreal. I have been referred to referred to the correct doctor’s to help with all my medical issues I have besides my back issues!! So all you that feel his joking manner is off beat and his forgetfulness is not good walk in his shoes for one day. After you’ve been going for awhile he remembers you well! If you don’t want medication you by no means have to take it. Get just manipulated and be on your way or get injections. Judging people in professional positions is the last thing you should be doing until you’ve done it yourself I certainly have seen some unprofessional doctors I just say if asked I don’t favor them for myself!! I didn't find this place benefical for a number of reasons. I could go on and on. They did not listen to me about my pain health but just throw pills at me, and send me on my way out. Only can see people on thursday. Anyone that said this place helped might have a abuse problem. Last 3 calls to them were ignored. I'm so glad I decided not to go back. Seeing someone new now. Dr. Ortiz swears alot infront of his patients. Never remembers whats wrong with me medically and never gets my drs. Name right. Very unproffesional, i should not be asked by him, what the hell can he do for me now. I felt embarassed and uncomfortable.

Amazing place. Professional, yet incredibly friendly. They truly listen to you and seem to have a strong passion for helping those who are suffering. Thank you!

He stopped caring. And then he stopped listening. I don't think, that I have been so disappointed in someone. I thought he was different than most Dr.s. Sadly, I was wrong.

If going for help with your pain, Dr. Ortiz will help you. But don't expect lots of narcotic drugs as that won't happen. You get what is needed without excess. This I prefer as don't like having to take anything. Make sure you take as prescribed and no more. Does not play games. Very honest caring doctor, the best.

He will not work with you, more than half of the time he won't even see you. A nurse sees you. He will hear you, but not listen to you. He is very rude towards you.

If I could give him nothing I would. He is rude and judgmental. A person who has never abused drugs was let go because she took care of her dying parents until their last days and was temporarily out of town. Also the team there never provided the proper help for her. She has not had a good day in years. What do I mean by that? She had to sleep most of the time because the pain is so bad! Everyone has their own personality qiurks, ..But you don't expect a doctor to be rude, disrespectful & condescending . Dr Ralph Ortiz was all that. My friend was referred to him in search of pain relief. My friend has extreme phobias of needles . Panic attack scared . He also has a medicine sensitivity. Various physical issues prevent him from taking most. Friend was asked to complete an extensive packet of paperwork. Most of which wanted sooooo many dates, times years you couldn't remember them. Along with the threat if Every question wasnt answered, he wouldn't be seen. He was told to report 15 min early. His appt was for 130,? We got there at 115. To a closed office. Sign said office reopened at 145 & appts at 2pm..... Friend was asked to wait because a urine sample was needed. News to friend. I spoke up &said how much longer does he have to wait? We already sat in our car for 1/2 hr because he was told to be early. Then we sat another 20 min for more information . Another 20 min before we got shown to a room. A secretary came in for 20 min more paperwork &i explanations. So when Dr. Ortiz finally came in he flounced in. Introduced himself & plopped into his chair. Long scraggly, dyed black hair , in a Hawaiian type shirt & shorts. Dr Ortiz started asking him questions , friend tried to answer. He wad talked to in a very condescending tone . He mocked friend to his nurse because friend didn't know the answers. He kept talking over friend& wouldn't let him finish a sentence. He started throwing his hands up in the air & told his nurse that he just didn't know why friend was there. Dr Ortiz couldn't help him. He continued to be mocking & condescending , said friends primary care doctor didn't know anything. Friend tried to tell him that she had sent him to find out about alternative medicines . Dr got very rude & said he could just send us down to Green star market to buy it. But friend couldn't afford it right. Friend tried to stand up for me when i misspoke. A medicine name by telling the Dt. I have brain damage, i do. Dr says oh leave her alone , she's cute. Thats when friend. Stood up & said I'm done. I didn't come here to be talked to like that. We will nevet go back to his office . Nor, will we refer him to anyone. Just because we are poor & didn't know all the answers is no reason or excuse. It was no small effort for us to get to this appt. And then for someone who is supposed to be a respected doctor talk down so condescending to us is a slap in the face we won't forget. Dr. Ortiz is truly a Professional Pain Specialist unlike any doctor that has treated me for pain. He has a very strict set of guidelines and rules which need to be in place for what he treats. Very simple...do exactly what he tells you for treatment and taking meds and you will see positive results and will not have any issues. You will have some function of life again and kick the pain level down to a tolerable level. I can't thank him enough for helping through all these years of pain. I highly recommend him to anyone that true pain and has had no relief with other doctors. Thank you Doc! I love how this place actually cares about making you feel important. They are extremely busy, but always manage to listen and take the time to answer all of your questions. Dr. Ortiz is fantastic and knows what he's doing along with his staff. They are always friendly even when they are so busy and make the time for you. I highly recommend inquiring about this place as there are many ways they can help including injections, manipulations, and even sinus infection help when you are completely stuffed up!! I have been a patient of Dr Ortiz since 2002. When I started with him I was told by my neurologist I'd be in a wheelchair by the time I was 40. I just turned 42, no chair for me !! He's a wonderfully caring doctor.

Very rude staff, took 3 weeks to call for an appointment. I had already been referred, seen, and treated by two other Drs in that time. No confidence in the staff.

Very down to earth staff, Dr is caring and has gotten my back pain under control in a short time.

After being thrown out of several pain clinics I was sent to Dr Ortiz. He LISTENED TO ME and my 20 years on opiates and 8 years walking with a cane are behind me. Thanks Doc and thanks to your staff!

I have been thrown out of several so called "pain clinics ". After 20 years on opiates and 8 years walking with a cane I was sent to Dr Ortiz. Little bumpy at first, my fault, I was used to hurry up and wait , pee in the bottle, get your pills and get out! Once I got over that I found a Dr and staff willing to listen and now I'm opiate free and have been able to put the cane in the corner where it belongs.

Knows what he is doing.and that is hard to find today.

Dr. Ortiz is the best...despite the fact he's the love child of Jerry Garcia and Albert Einstien. (: ...Seriously, I've been his patient since September of 2007, a month before I had my first artificial disc implant in my low back (second low back surgery) and he's helped me through another artificial disc replacement in my neck; both surgeries were done in Buffalo and he guided me through the pain management portion of my recoveries and subsequent on-going treatments. Ralph Ortiz is not only the finest medical technician I've worked with in the ten years since I got Guillian Barre but he's a brilliant educator, a cheery comedian with remarkable compassion. His entire staff is equally compassionate and aside from the muddy parking lot in April everything's perfect. I've been with him for 6 plus years and he is NEVER behind schedule. I'm personally not a patient of him, however my fiancee is. We have had a wonderful experience with him every visit. He has taken more time trying to understand my fiancee's medical condition than her PCP has even attempted to. He listens and answers any and all questions we have had, without speaking in a condescending tone. I would highly recommend him and his staff. Very courteous and professional. This doctor knows his stuff! He's friendly, answers all questions and knows how to crack my back and neck that helps tremendously. He seems to actually care much more than other doctors I've met besides my PCP.
