This is an amazing doctor! 8 years ago I was in a accident which caused me to have reconstruct surgery on my right foot. I was told I was going to loose 3 toes but he worked miracles and I only lost half of my big toe. He was always very professional and made me feel comfortable. I am forever grateful!

Negative. Two months after surgery and my left leg does not work. The doctors bed side manner is “ZERO” , I never seen the doctor after surgery or since. This was a Veterans Admin authorization. The authorization entitled me to a walker and or a cane, I didn’t get either one. I was supposed to be sent for rehab at a VA authorized facility, after 4 days I found out I was being charged. I was supposed to have home health rehab , that was never scheduled by the doctors office. Bottom line: my left leg does not work, I had to make my own arrangements to get a Walker and cane, I had to make my own arrangements for home healthcare rehabilitation. This was one of the worst doctoring experiences I ever had.

Dr Rahul Banerjee is a very gifted surgeon! I broke my arm/wrist and had to have a plate put in my right arm/wrist area. My surgery is just 6 weeks out and I’m using my wrist with very little pain. I’m, also, a pickleball player and I’m able to play a little & I’m right handed! So happy with my results and could not have had a better experience with this doctor, PA, assistants, and office staff…exceptional and knowledgeable. THANK YOU, Dr Banerjee.

I saw Dr. Banerjee for a hip replacement last week and I’m grateful for the fantastic care I got from him and his team. His schedulers Miriam G. and Miriam B. bent over backwards to get me approved for surgery. My insurance isn’t the greatest, but they managed to get me on the OR schedule within 6 days of my office visit. Dr. Banerjee explained everything in detail and addressed all of my concerns with patience. Thanks also to Briana, his PA and for Joe for ‘squeezing me in’. This is the second time I had surgery from doctors of NTOS and all I can say is that they are a top notch group all around with a beautiful and efficient facility.

I went to Dr Banerjee for a second opinion on having knee surgery. His staff is warm and welcoming. Dr Banerjee is as well, along with being reassuring, honest and from what I've heard and read, an expert in his field. I am very thankful a Dear friend recommended I go to him. Looks like it's not imperative I have a knee replacement in the near future. Im so thankful. When it is time, Dr Banerjee will definitely be the doctor to do my knee replacement.

Dr. Banerjee was extremely professional and attentive when I came in regarding my torn Achilles. This was the first major injury I've sustained and was quite nervous regarding the process going forward. After our first conversation, Dr Banerjee put all of my worries at ease. It was easy to tell he always has his patients best interests at the front of his mind and approaches the conversation very well collected and with sincerity. After we had decided that surgery was the best option I was feeling very anxious for the next few days leading up to it. Dr. Banerjee came to see me right before the surgery to see if there were any questions he could answer and he answered each of them respectfully and confidently. I am truly grateful to Dr. Banerjee for doing my hip replacement. I was diagnosed with Stage IV Avascular Necrosis. I was in so much pain that I had to use crutches just to get around. I went to one doctor that said he would not do the surgery until my BMI was below 40% and for me to remain active. This doctor shown no empathy or care how much pain I was in. I went for a second opinion and saw Dr. Banerjee. He came into the room and after 5 minutes of talking with me he could tell how much pain I was in. He said he would do the surgery but I had to follow all instructions to where I could not get an infection. Being overweight, your surgical incision has more of a chance to get infected. I was grateful to him. A few days I had to go back because I cracked the top of the femur head. He was very kind and explained how the surgery would go and what I needed to do to prepare for surgery. I am so grateful to Dr. Banerjee for not being afraid to perform a total hip replacement. Few hours after having surgery they had me up and walking. I feel so much better and able to get around. Dr , is a great doctor, no complaints. His office and insurance staff. Get a 0. A 1 is pushing it. The nursing staff and P.A’s were great as well I saw him a couple times last year. Wait time was tolerable. The office tried to charge me my Olay every time even though me deductible was met because they were didn’t want to call and check I guess This year, I changed insurance plans to Ambetter value from Ambetter core. The website clearly states he’s on the plan. I only need a referral from my PCP. NO problem. I provided it. They canceled two appointments refused to see me. Many calls later, my nurse call manager was able to call and after speaking to several people -finally spoke to a Credentialing person who admitted they did NOT accept Ambetter value, even if the website says so. Dr Rahul Banerjee is the best knee and hip replacement doctor I know . I had a total knee replacement done on 27th October 2021 and now I have no knee pain and more energy . What more can I expect . Even though we share same last name we are not related except he is my doctor and I am his patient. I will recommend him to everyone

This practice is absolutely incredible! For anyone deciding who they should go to, look no further! You have found the best! I shattered my wrist roller skating in the beginning of May 2021. I had never seriously hurt myself before, so this whole experience was very foreign and scary for me. At least in the beginning! Dr. Banerjee and his wonderful staff took amazing care of me our entire time together! They showed incredible patience when I called a hundred times asking questions and sharing my concerns. Every department and employee I interacted with was very well educated in, not only the medical side, but also my personal file and the where I was in my recovery. Without this level of professionalism, I don’t think I would have been back bartending as swiftly as I was. Seeing such care and concern for me and my situation made trusting them very easy. I was referred to doctor Banerjee by one of my customers when we were talking about my bad hip she had her hip replaced by him 1 year prior. So i made an appointment i was impressed by his professional manor he explained everything i needed to know about hip replacement, in March of 2021 i had the surgery they had me up and walking in a few hours with no pain in my hip joint. It's been 3 months now and i feel great i still have a little way to go for full recovery but i am PAIN FREE!!!!! My arm has healed pretty well and my scar looks really good considering how much of my arm had to be cut open. Dr. Rahul Banerjee is a talented surgeon with a superb bedside manner. He was recommended to me by another orthopedic service that could not make needed repairs to my leg. In January 2020, a motorcycle wreck left me with comminuted fractures of my femur, tibia, and fibula. The femur broke away from the knee, cracking the condyle in half and popping through the skin. Initial repairs included a plate and numerous screws on the femur. When this plate broke in August, the practice of my original surgeon did not have the bandwidth to treat me. After some scrambling, I found Dr. Banerjee and have felt in great hands ever since. Two delicate surgeries later, and I’m nearing the point where I can walk again. I would not be here without the excellent skill set and quick action by Dr. Banerjee’s practice. Now in my seventies, I know when I restart my 50-mile bicycle rides, and begin weekly golf matches, I’ll have Dr. Banerjee to thank for his outstanding work in putting this humpty dumpty back together. I am 62 years old and an avid cyclist. I broke the neck of my left femur during a bike ride on 3-14-20. The EMT crew recommended I go to Plano Medical City because they have the best surgeons to care for orthopedic injuries. Dr. Banerjee, of Texas Bone & Joint, promptly saw me the same day of my injury. Dr, Banerjee gave me the pro’s and con’s on surgery options and let me decide what was best for me. His bedside manner was calming and gave me confidence in him. I chose to go with having the femur neck screwed back together. The surgery was performed exactly as scheduled the next morning on 3-15-20. I did not have much pain after the surgery. I was released on crutches from the hospital on 3-16-20. I was back riding my bike and walking by Mid-May with little to no soreness. During my PT and continuing recovery Dr. Banerjee and his PA Briana Hodgson gave me excellent advice and support during bi-monthly follow-up visits. At this point in September I am at 100% on the bike at my 8 hours a week of cycling. I would highly recommend Dr. Banerjee and will go back to him if I have another orthopedic injury or problem. After a biking accident in late July and learning I had broken my leg, the ER recommended Dr. Banerjee and even called his office. I was transferred to the hospital, and the PA, Briana Hodgson, came to my room that same day. Dr. Banerjee was able to do the surgery within two days and explained the road to recovery. He was very kind, compassionate, and listened, and answered my questions. The recovery was a bit painful, but that was to be expected from the kind of injury, and Dr. Banerjee and his staff were very considerate to listen, assist, and guide me. That was three months ago, and I am glad to say that all is healing well, and I am ready to begin the road to walking and get back to biking again with confidence, thanks to Dr. Banerjee and Briana Hodgson.

I came to Dr. Banergee by referral from another trusted doctor. I had experienced a major injury on the job - completely ruptured quadriceps tendon. Surgery went extremely well in the midst of the newly instituted Covid-19 restrictions. In addition - his staff was incredibly helpful in working with the Workers Comp Insurance carrier and coordinating with the Physical Therapists. His skill and attention to me as a patient makes it very easy to recommend Dr. Banergee for any of his areas of expertise.

I was in a very severe car accident last year with month of hospitalization and rehab. Dr. Banerjee stood out among an army of top medical professionals. He had a very calm and patient bedside manner but more so he was a good listener. So many health care providers are pressured to keep appointments to a minimum, but Dr. Banerjee took the time to answer MANY involved questions. Very caring and patient. It was a stroke of luck to have him as my surgeon and physician.

I highly recommend Dr. Banerjee. When I broke my elbow and wrist and couldn’t drive I was forced to call an ambulance. Without say so, I was brought to Medical City Plano and Dr. Banerjee was on duty that night. I was very fortunate he was! He repaired a complex multiple break in my elbow with expert care. I was identified as a Level One Trauma at my local hospital and immediately transported to Medical City in Plano. Once stabilized by a great tstaff in the ER, I met Dr. Banerjee. He explained my situation so I could understand, put a plan together, and took me to surgery. His follow up was tremendous and he guided me back to full recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Banerjee. When I broke my elbow and wrist and couldn’t drive I was forced to call an ambulance. I received fantastic care from Dr. Banerjee and his team for a broken bone which required surgery - before, during and after the surgery. I was in a major car accident in October 2009. My tibula/fibula was broken and shattered. I spent 1 month at parkland hospital. Dr. Banerjee fixed me where I was able to walk again. I am very grateful for your work. Thank you for allowing me to walk again and live a normal life.

As a physician myself, I attest that it is not everyday that you witness a surgeon who embodies affability, sensibility, technical superiority and produces outstanding outcomes. Dr. Rahul Banerjee is one such surgeon. After my mother-in-law suffered major orthopedic trauma while vacationing in France, we did a LOT of research and clearly identified Dr. Banerjee as an expert in orthopedic surgery. I had no question in mind that for best treatment and results it was in my mother in law’s best interest to be flown back to the US and be cared for by Dr. Banerjee. Dr. Banerjee was kind enough to get her in a timely fashion, schedule the complex surgery, and get it done perfectly. While many others recommended knee replacement, Dr. Banerjee was willing to give repair a try. And it worked. My mother in law is now doing very well, walking and well recovered. Helped me and my son in our time of need. Have had multiple md’s comment on how they are surprised at how well injuries healed. I believe this is due exclusively to Dr. Banerjee. He is very skilled and I highly recommend. We have had great follow up from staff and his team. No one wants a traumatic life event needing this type of surgeon, but you do want a physician who can give you the best chances at being fixed. 11/16/2016 I decided to be an idiot and run my motorcycle into a street sign at approximately 55mph. I broke my right kneecap, my left femor, two bones in my left arm, suffered some spinal fractures and a brain bleed. I was taken by helicopter to Medical City Plano where Dr. Banerjee worked on me for 12ish hours and now I'm half titanium man. Long story short, I can't put into words how grateful I am. This man not only saved my life but he also saved my quality of life. Dr. Banerjee did so well fixing me up that my scars are the only way to tell that I was ever in a motorcycle accident. I was involved in a near fatal car accident in which I had 7 major surgeries. I was lucky to have been taken to a hospital that housed a fantastic orthopedic surgeon as Dr. Banerjee. I had a pilon fracture of my right ankle. a super serious injury. I did not even know if I would walk right again. Prior to my accident I was a national ranked distance runner and so this was a devastating injury. Dr Banerjee did a fantastic job--I had 2 surgeries on the foot, and now I am walking with no limp and I am running!!!!. Dr Banerjee is a very talented surgeon who know what he is doing. He is an expert in his field and for him to do the job he did on my foot is really a miracle. I cannot recommend Dr Banerjee enough. He gets 10 stars in my book!!!! His staff is also sensational and everyone cares about all the patients. His work ethic is also off the charts and he went above and beyond to make sure before the surgery he addressed my questions, my fears and what I hoped to have happen. he then checked on me a lot after the surgery. Dr. Banerjee has helped my daughter get through a few breaks over the last few years. Unfortunately, she is a bit accident prone. He is always patient and kind and explains our options very clearly. Thank you Dr. Banerjee and his wonderful staff for all that you have done for my family!

If you need an Orthopedic surgeon, I recommend that you call Dr. Banerjee. I can’t write enough about how great Dr. Banerjee had been to me and my parents. When I was a senior in college, I tore both of my patellar tendons in a basketball injury. Dr. Banerjee was able to fully prepare me for the surgery and followed up with me on numerous occasions to make sure my recovery went smoothly, which had been the case. I recovered much quicker than I expected as well. I am truly grateful for his work.

We were really lucky to have Dr Banergee as the emergency orthopedist for my aged mother. He did a wonderful job during surgery repairing her broken elbow. She has regained very good use of her arm with an easy, uncomplicated healing process and physical therapy. On follow up visits Dr Banergee was personable, easy to talk to and willing to listen to our concerns. He was kind and gentle with my Mom and always mindful of how frail she is.

Took care of my son in his time of need. My son received excellent care and follow up and as a parent was always well informed of options and plan. Highly recommend and would personally see him again as my go to provider for my family.
