My elderly mother had an MRI to find out if her broken neck has healed. Appointment April 5. Office moved appointment twice, said doc is on call. Last week they went to the appointment, which is 45 minutes away and told doc is not there AGAIN. I called and was told my brother had it wrong, they rescheduled. That’s a LIE. I rescheduled for April 28 and told them to only call me or my brother since my mother cannot drive. Now they moved her appointment to May 18!!!! I can't say enough, of how I was treated by Dr. Allende and Trista, Juleen and Alicia. The doctor is so personable, knowledgeable & very thorough. He spent 20 minutes with me, going through test results in depth and developing a treatment plan. The office staff was very caring and accommodating.

If you are using workers Comp insurance DO NOT SEE HIM! He cleared me with a clean bill of health and didn’t believe him. Got a second opinion and I ended up having to get a PCDF surgery C3-T1. All because he wanted a few extra bucks for claiming I was healthy with the workers Comp company

Dr. Allende is an excellent physician. He is thorough in his evaluation, takes his time explaining and answering all your questions in a truly caring manner. He has helped me manage my lower back pain after suffering from chronic back pain for years. I hope not to need additional back surgery in the future but if I do, I would trust him completely to be the best!

Dr Allende is the best physician I have ever been to. Myself being a professional in the field. There is no one that comes close to his professionalism and compassion for his patients. I would rate DR ALLENDE as an EXCELLENT surgeon. He did my neck and lower back. He has a great bedside manner. If you ask a question he will explain it. He did follow up at the hospital and a week later, I saw his PA at the office. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Allende and his staff are very friendly and very caring. Dr. Allende takes his time with you, answers all your questions and makes sure you understand. He is a wonderful surgeon. I first visited doctor alende two years ago after being sent to the pain management clinic and many other doctors no one was like doctor alende he's professional honest wonderful takes his time explains everything he's a true gentleman and what is left of a true doctor today he did my surgery and we are still seeing one another today four different issues I have recommended him to over 40 patients I would recommend him to anyone I first visited doctor Elan day 2 years ago after being sent to the pain management clinic and many other doctors no one was like Dr Elan day he's professional honest wonderful takes his time explains everything he's a true gentleman and what is left of a true doctor today he did my surgery and we are still seeing one another today for different issues I have recommended him to over 40 patients I would recommend him to anyone he has got the best bedside manner I've ever seen and wonderful and he takes his time and explains everything

Dr. Rafael Allende explained thoroughly all my options for care in a very detail and informative manner. He took the necessary time to answer all my concerns in reference to my medical condition. I must say that he was the most caring Doctor that I have ever spoke with. Having to make decisions about surgery is not an easy option, but his explanation of my condition and how to take care of it, helped tremendously to follow a care plan that hopefully will reduce my pain and alleviate my condition. Glad that I saw him. I recommend him to anybody who is having chronic pain to seek his guidance and expertise.

I was more than impressed I was blown away! From filling out the inclusive questionnaire and the first phone call to meeting the doctor everyone was above par! The doctor explained his thoughts openly and honestly. Thank you Dr. Allende!

While awaiting a knee replacement my hip began to hurt and my orthopedic doctor thought it might be coming from my spine. Dr. Allende read the MRI and x-ray and told me it was the pain coming from my knee, not the spine. I trust him completely as I know he will not operate unless he believes it is necessary. He did surgery on my spine eight years ago and I never had anymore pain.

Dr. Allende is a fantastic Dr. I just had neck surgery done a few months ago and I feel great! He has passion for his job... He greets his patients with a smile all the time! Also he has great bedside manners!!!! I would recommend to anyone who needs surgery!! As soon as my neck heals my lower back will be next. He’s that good that I would let him do surgery on me again!

Fantastic Doctor....Beyond impressed. Dr. Allende is very thorough, compassionate, caring, and has a most ratinal and intelligent approach versus other surgeons who treat you like a number, unless you agree to surgery. Further, Dr. Allende's staff is first rate, and made me feel most comfortable from the moment I first contacted them. There is a reason why Dr, Allende's patients rate him the highest in all of Central Florida....it's his integrity, compassionate approach, in which he communicates on a level very easy to understand and comprehend, with no nonsense or bs whatsoever. I would give Dr. Allende 10 stars if I could...well deserved.

Dr. Allende and the entire office staff are courteous, kind, caring professionals who try to do everything within their power to assist their patients. I honestly have not had a physician sit and explain things to me for as long as he did, making sure that I understood everything! Dr. Allende even went on the internet to help me find a traction device at a lower cost than my insurance would have been! If you are on the fence trying to find the best Neurosurgery office and physician, look no further. I am a real patient who has no ties to anyone in their office and I have not been compensated for my opinions. This is an honest review.

I have Scoliosis and Stenosis and because of back pain. I was going to Pain Management for injections. The injections didn't help, so I went to see Dr. Allende and very happy I did. After having an MRI he found why I was having the pain and we discussed surgery. He is a very caring, knowledgeable and professional doctor who treats you as a patient and not a number. He takes the time with you to discuss, explain and answer all questions. I am very happy my pain is gone. Excellent doctor!

He made me feel very comfortable. He took the time to show me the MRI and explained what was going on with my spine.

Dr Allende is a true professional and I highly recommend his practice for your needs. He did my disc replacement in 2015 with no problems or issues. I am now working with him on back issues and have the same confidence level as before. I am located in SWFL and drive three hours to and from my appointments . I trust no one with my spine health other than Dr Allende.

Best doctor ever listen to you an cares for your health!!!

Me and my husband had neck surgery a couple years back and doctor Allende did the surgery and is amazing, I'm so happy we went to him. I was very impressed with the professionalism and sincere concern that Dr. Allende and his staff exhibited on my first visit.

He found a fracture from an ER visit 6 mths ago that went undiagnosed from Deland hospital, and two Orthopedist's. He reviewed the x-ray with me. He sent me for another MRI, and explained the results of the disc with me. He and his staff went out of their way for me, so that my insurance would cover my new back brace.

Dr. Allende was very personable. He explained images from my MRI thoroughly, in terms I could understand. He provided me with options, he made me feel like he was working with me to make a decision, not just talking at me.

One of the most respectful and kind doctors I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He actually listens to his patients instead of dismissing their thoughts and treats them with the empathy they deserve. I was so impressed I actually bragged to one of my daughter’s doctors and she happened to know his family for years, also being good friends with his wife. She told me they are good people in life and work. A hard characteristic to find in any doctor but especially in the field of neurology & surgery!

The office staff is very friendly and helpful. It is so nice to go to a doctor that truly cares about you and wants to know you first before he even discussed why I was there. Dr. Allende took time with me went over my mri’s frame by frame with me and explained every detail. . I have already had 2 back surgeries by him years ago and I actually changed my insurance just so I could go back to him now. I went to other doctors and just felt like a number. Would not trust anyone else.

Every visit is just wonderful. All of the staff, the nurses, nurse practitioner and Dr Allende are professional, courteous, friendly and caring. Unlike most doctor offices, they make you feel very comfortable, you can ask any questions and know, that you'll get an answer that you can understand and be very very comfortable with. I would recommend this practice to anyone who is in need of their particular expertise.

Dr. Allendale is the best doctor I've ever had. He takes the time to fully explain what your issue is and what he can do to correct it. His bedside manner is top notch and you feel secure in his care. I would fully recommend him to anyone who wants the best care you can get. Love this doctor and wish other doctors were as honest and able as he is.

I was happy when Dr. Allende returned to this area just in time to help me with my back problems. I find him to be very patient, caring and he never made me feel he was in hurry. Although I had to return to surgery two more times because of reccuring problems I was always well informed about what to expect. After reading an MRI he called me personally to tell me it was going to be necessary to go back in and scheduled me for the next day. He is one of a kind.

Dr. Allende spent time explaining my MRI in detail and answered all my questions. The end result was that I do not need surgery. I trust him and highly recommend him.

Extremely pleased with scheduling, friendliness of staff, minimal waiting time. Dr. Allende explains medical conditions and options clearly. I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful experience it was to enter The Neurohealth Center, as a first time patient with Dr Rafael Allende and his staff. When I called to make an appointment the receptionist was very considerate to my medical needs and could probably hear the anxiety in my voice. Signing-in and Prep-time with medical staff went quickly. Dr Allende was awesome and explained everything in such down-to-earth details that I left feeling calm knowing treatment was on the way :o)

Dr. Allende was wonderful! He takes his time to explain everything and to try to help you in anyway possible. He will go through every detail and listen to what you say and answer every question. His staff was very kind and helpful as well. If you are in need of a neurosurgeon, he is the very best!
