Doctor faxed over my referral, I called to get an appointment scheduled, they said they had the referral and would review it and I should call back if I didn't hear from them within 2 weeks. Called back two weeks later, they said they don't have a referral, and when I complained that it was going to be another two weeks for them to even schedule an appointment because they lost the referral the person on the phone had the nerve to tell me they didn't lose it they never got it. Incompetent and rude.

Buyer beware. It’s good until it isn’t. 2 stars because she actually gave me a couple of assists, but under her scope as a Dr. I’m so exhausted, sad and disgusted. I think I got the pitbull of the office. But for Dr. Kumar - I don’t know exactly how to explain this but be very careful. I don’t think Dr. Kumar or her staff are used to treating thyroid patients. Or hyperthyroidism specifically. My thyroid is very HYPER, they put me on a taper and it took 6 months before my thyroid began to effect me with severe symptoms and now they say she doesn’t treat thyroid patients long term.? What? Maybe they just need some office supplies like a freaking calendar and calculator????. I can’t come off my meds completely and go into a thyroid storm and from there wait for a scan, I won’t make it! I’m praying I can get through this, it’s pretty awful and scary as it effects my poor Covid beaten heart. She’d probably be good at ping pong????Back in forth . I should have not allowed my self to be tapered without a solid plan with a back up plan, etc. I should not have trusted her. This doctor situation ????

She was a referral from my PCP; but she went above and beyond even caring for my osteoporosis!!

Dr. Kumar and Melanie took time to explain the reason for the medicine change, and were very informative..

I was referred to see Dr. Kumar over 3 months ago. I called today and she still has to "review" the referral to see if she can take care of my case. Very poor service and follow up. If this is how they show concern for patients, I don't want to see the medical care they provide. One star is still to high.

I highly recommend Dr. Kumar for your endocrinology needs. She is kind, knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner. She takes her time with you and cares about you as a person, far beyond your diagnosis.

Love Dr Kumar she is wonderful

Very disappointing. Dr. Kumar although seemingly very capable has taken the ‘caring’ out of patient care. She relies heavily on interns and other staff to convey unfounded information and fails to follow-up personally, instead using a patient portal, reducing patient care and communication to Twitter messages. She also does not seem to understand or is simply indifferent as to how to advocate for her patients by properly providing appropriate diagnosis codes for insurance coverage. I went into this knowing I may not come out with answers but I thought she would care enough to ‘try’ at least to help me understand. Sadly, this was not the case. I could not in good conscious recommend her to anyone that may be suffering from a confounding health condition that requires anything beyond normal care, but then why would you go to a specialist otherwise?

Everything I can say about this doctor is summed up in one word, excellent!

Listens to concerns and takes them into account when treating. Has been key to controlling my diabetes.
