Update 8/2020: So...my pictures of Dr. Patel texting on his phone while I was paying him to listen to me were deleted. Dr Pratik Patel is about worthless as they come. After over a year of visits and many chances, always these consistencies… No physical exam, doesn’t listen and jumps to quick assumptions without hearing full story. Example: During a past office visit, he stopped me 3 times in mid-sentence to reply to mobile messages on phone. He literally ignored me without letting me resume after he let his phone interrupt me. No apology. No explanation. He fast talked something irrelevant while writing out my Rx and quickly left. I actually took pictures in disbelief and he never noticed! He spent no more than 5 mins “engaging” me in total. That’s the attention you get from him. Of course my real name is not used in this review. I was conflicted about posting this. But it’s honest and wouldn’t be fair to unwitting patients if I don’t get the truth out and at least let people decide for themselves. Dr Brinda Modh is SO much better. Very good bedside manners and attentive to changes. I’ve been doing much better since switching over to her. Office staff and nurse staff are very friendly and good. Avoid Patel! Dr Patel and Dr Modh are two of the finest physicians you will find. It’s rare to find doctors that combine such personal touches and care for a patient along with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming their patient!

Informed and very capable. Dr. Patel created an atmosphere of calm and assurance in explaining my condition and the options available to me for treatment. I recommend this office with 5 stars.

This sorry excuse for a physician was assigned to me when I went to Holmes with a septic knee. His diagnosis after surgery was to restrict all activity for three weeks despite repeated request for movement. I'm now three months out and I still can't bend my knee. My primary orthopedic now wants to manipulate the knee! While in the hospital and rehab, he would daily briefly appear with a quick "How are you". Never really expecting or waiting for an answer, he would move on. When I received my Medicare summary, there he was for$183 every day for visits His demeanor is abrupt and dismissive. If you have questions, it's because YOU weren't listening. Please do yourself or loved one a favor and avoid this man!

Dr Modh office are kind caring people, I appreciate everything they have helped me with, kind, listening to me and helping me understand my health better.

This Dr. Pratik Patel’s practice is a complete patient mill, insurance leecher based on my experience with him. He evaluated me for over three weeks for a growth and pain in my left breast. What he didn’t know was that he was my second opinion. He never even touched me to examine the area of pain even after I suggested it and said other doctors had “felt something”. He suggested it was normal after only looking at it from his seat and offered no treatment other than “watch and see“. I was expecting at least a mammogram or other diagnostics. But even though the pain had persisted for months, he told me to ice it and come back in 2 weeks if not better to reassess. All tolled, he spent about 10 minutes asking me questions and 2-3 minutes talking about my complaints. No scientific detective work ever attempted in diagnostics. By 3 weeks, I had found a real Doctor who diagnosed and treated my condition correctly and I am without symptoms today. I’ll stop just short in saying based on my experiences Dr. Pratik Patel is a potentially dangerous “doctor“. The office billed me for almost $350 for the useless service and I have not and will never pay anything for his “services“. You’re warned and you’re welcome. Dr. Modh is the most caring doctor I have ever met. I have been seeing her for over 6 years now and I refuse to see anyone else. She always listens to my needs.

He caused irreparable anxiety by telling me my back problem would cut my spine. I have a history of bipolar anxiety and this made it much worse.

Dr. Patel did not listen well to what I was telling him, at times jumping to incorrect conclusions. He was frustrated when I couldn't tell him the Latin name of the small, non-cancerous polyp that was removed from my colon 3 yrs ago. When I told him the local gastroenterologist's name who operated on me he said he hadn't heard of him; he suspected I got the name wrong. He made fun of the trusted family doctor I had been going to for many years.

Had the unfortunate experience of 4 hospital ICU stays in 2017. Had the even greater unfortunate luck of having this "poor excuse" of a doctor? as my hospital floor internist--all 4 times! SCARIEST DR. EVER!! *Refused to "listen" on *any level, acts like he knows everything, *a very condescending, *rude, *arrogant, *antagonist! Referred to "my" right lung as *left lung!..?? Also *condescendingly used "semantics" as differentiating an IV catheter vs. IV cannula. Do *NOT like this DR?--AT ALL!

Dr. Pratik A. Patel, MD is an idiot. When I was in Palm Bay hospital on March 8, 2017 after a fall and striking my head I wondered why my jaw and back teeth hurt so bad. He told me and my wife that I had a bad tooth. My wife and I explained that I had just had my teeth cleaned a week earlier and the checkup was fine and that it must be something else. He argued intensely with her and told her that she knows NOTHING and that I need a dentist and the hospital doesn't have dentists. After release, I went to my dentist and we discovered that there was trauma to the TMJ joints. We treated it with a brace and medication and it took 3 months to heal, no thanks to Dr. Pratik A. Don't let the MD after his name fool you. He is a vapid, helpless, incompetent person. His passive nature leads to the failure of completion in care for his patients as I am witnessing currently. I have a relative that just sat in the hospital for awhile and is in worse condition than he was before he started in Patel's care. Alive, but deteriorating and now he will be transferred somewhere that will achieve what Patel could not. That man has a weak soul. I urge you to use any other doctor.

He's a total idiot. I was in Palm Bay hospital on 3/8/2017 after striking my head. I wondered why my jaw and back teeth hurt so bad. He said it was a bad tooth. I explained I just had my teeth cleaned / checked a week earlier that it must be something else. He argued intensely, told my wife that she knows NOTHING and I need a dentist. After release, I went to my dentist and we discovered that there was trauma to the TMJ joints. Treated it with a brace and medications.

Chose him as my new PCP last year and will never go back to him. Picked him because he was close to me and was able to get an appointment on the same day. My partner and I went for our yearly physicals. We are clean, respectful, discreet and non drug users but he treated us like diseased drug addicts. It was obvious he was uncomfortable and wanted us out of there as soon as possible. He was dismissive and unfriendly.

Every time i get admitted to the hospital due to sickle cell anemia Dr.Patel is very rude he puts his patients needs last , he doesn't show any compassion towards patients. He's always in rush so he never go over discharge instructions with patients, i would highly recommend patients with serious health issues to avoid Dr.Patel if u want the proper care
