Rude. Does not take time to answer questions and does not seem to care about the patient.

Dr walked in the room and asked about my nosebleeds. The he sprayed some stuff up my nose before ever telling me what he was about to do or spray. He then told me he was about to cauterize a tiny vessel (sounds worse than what it actually is) He seemed to get aggravated that I was nervous about getting a blood vessel cauterized. I told him about some ear problems ive been having and he brushed it off like its nothing. He went to walk out the door and I said "What about my ear problems?" I do NOT recommend Dr. Ballinger. He put tubes in my daughters ears a year ago and she has had problems with her ears everyday since. I’ve taken her back every month and nothing ever changes. She gets a bad infection and He tells me he’s “anti culture” so I take my daughter to the ER just to get a culture back that she had STAPH in her ears! So I changed ENT for the new doctor to rush us into the next surgery he has 3 days after first seeing her! I do NOT recommend Dr. Ballinger. Dr. Ballinger was excellent with the nasal surgery he did on my husband, Paul. He told us what was going on with Paul's sinus, which was; he had much damage already with lots of infection in his head, Paul was having sinus infection with terrible headaches for years , until Dr.Ballinger did his magic on Paul, before he did anything he had a CAT scan done on Paul to make sure of the damage and what it was going to involve to fix it. Then when the scan come in , Dr. Ballinger showed us the scan on his PC so we would KNOW ourselves what was going on with his sinuses, which was VERY impressive to see he was showing also telling us what it looked like and what he needed to" REPAIR and REBUILD" while he was in the sinuses . Today Paul is doing great , he has never smelled fresh air for years but because of Dr. Ballinger he is loving the newness of being able to SMELL !! Dr B. is one of the best doctors, I have ever seen. He removed my right thyroid and a tumor. His bed side manner is so good, surgery skills excellent, no scar at all on my neck. I have seen other people with the same surgery, there scars are hideous. His concern and skill and beside manner is the best there is in alabama. I have had many surgeries wish all my doctor's were as good as him...

Excellent doctor. He was quick with his diagnosis and had surgery a week later to fit my schedule. I was very happy with the outcome, I can actually breathe again. Explains the procedure in detail and very good bedside manner. I would definitely recommend to everyone.

I felt like this doctor was in a rush to move on to the next patient, and didn't take the time to really listen to what I was trying to tell him. Seemed he had one favored diagnosis and was not interested in why it didn't really fit my symptoms.
