Dr. Forno is very compassionate. He takes time to listen to my concerns. He explains the condition and what the options are for treatment.

My wife Diane and I really love Dr Forno. He is affable and brilliant! He is the McGyver of surgery. We will continue in his care for several more surgeries and we trust him completely.

After 2 failed shoulder surgeries (by another doctor), I was afraid I would live the rest of my life in pain. But Dr. Forno gave me hope & confidence that he could help me. After this 3rd surgery, I am finally beginning to see improvement. Dr. Forno has consistently treated me with respect & compassion, as well as patience with my many questions. I would highly recommend him to any of my family & friends.

Doctor Forno recently operated on my husband's right shoulder and a bicep tendon tear. It's only been 3 days and my husband is getting around with his shoulder. This doctor is amazing on how well the surgery went and how well my husband is doing now. Strongly suggest Dr. Forno.

I am astonished that Dr. Forno rates a 4.9. He does not deserve such a high score. I am taking the time to write this review in order to give him the lowest score possible. That is what I think he deserves. I have never met this man, but my own doctor recommended him to help me with my shoulder problem. I called his scheduler on March 15, 2021 to make an appointment for the soonest date available. The soonest available was May 7, 2021. That was an approximate 2 month wait but I was o.k. with that--as it seemed to be the norm in our Covid-chaotic world. As May 7 got closer, I received a call from Dr. Forno's scheduler to inform me that he had to cancel my appointment and reschedule. Once again, I asked for the soonest appointment available. The soonest was July, 14, 2021; another 2 month wait. On July 7th I received the dreaded phone call from his scheduler. He was cancelling my appointment again and would need to reschedule. This time I called his office (as the scheduler is not part of his office staff, but rather is part of the larger clinic and handles appointment making for about twenty doctors.) I asked the receptionist, "What is going on with him!?" Her reply: "He is on vacation." I explained to her that I had made two appointments, waited four months to see him and that I was completely fed up with him. I told her that I thought he was quite unprofessional in his approach to medicine. Does this man really want to be a doctor? I would suggest that he needs to SCHEDULE his vacation time so that the scheduler does not make any appointments during that planned time off. Is that too hard for a well-educated doctor? That way, he could take a vacation every month for two weeks at a time and NO ONE WOULD KNOW! From my experience with Dr. Forno, he is not dedicated to his profession or to his patients. Dr. Forno was recommended by my Dr. to help with my shoulder problem. On March 15, 2021, I called to make an appt. for the soonest date possible which was May 7, 2021—a 2-mo. wait. He is not dedicated to his profession or to his patients. I am done with this pretender.

Had Pectoral reattached last night. Minimal pain today. The entire surgical team was awesome. Thank you. Looking forward to recovery

Dr. Forno operated on a couple of things on one of my elbows. He came highly recommended and it was well deserved. Very confident and knowledgeable. I felt at ease and well cared for.

I just got an evaluation by Dr Forno today. I have almost 30 years of training in the medical field, and have worked with many doctors. Dr. Forno was kind, empathic and explained my problem in detail. Trust me, he is one of the best medical care doctors out there, and it was truly a pleasure to meet him. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Forno did surgery on my wrist and did a wonderful job. I took a lot of time to research the best Dr. and I chose Dr. Forno based on his knowledge and bedside manner. I sensed that he cared about me as a patient which rang true. I was very scared going into surgery and he was very comforting to me and took extra time to assure and inform that I would be taken care of. My wrist is very functional though I have not fully completed PT due issues related to covid. I made the right choice and I recommended him to a relative whom I believe wrote a negative review based on seeing him only once - and I would like to see if that can be removed - people should not write negative reviews based on a 1 time meeting of a doctor. I saw Dr. Forno many times (including surgery) and can base my opinion on more than a 1 time visit. The people working at the front desk are very friendly and helpful.

Very caring and genuine doctor who takes his time to help you understand what you may be dealing with beyond your hand.

Total Shoulder Replacement...My shoulder is like new. Dr Forno was great. Highly recommended.

I broke my forearm/wrist in a slip and fall accident Feb. 4. I had outpatient surgery by Dr. Forno on Feb. 6 at the Christus St. Vincent Surgical Center. The man is supremely talented. The entire 'surgery' was less than 20 mins. I've had absolutely no pain and five weeks later have regained ~90% mobility of my wrist/forearm. The only irritation or discomfort I experienced was from the cast which I wore for two weeks. Occupational therapy has been a huge help and the entire team at CSV surgical center was fabulous. Thank you to everyone!

Horrible. Expect to wait for an hour for a 10 minute consultation.

Saw Dr forno for a wrist fracture over the holidays. He squeezed me into his schedule the next day after breaking it and then operated on me Christmas Eve. He was so helpful, reassuring, and respectful. My hand therapist tells me he’s the best she’s ever worked with and I believe it. Great experience with Dr. Forno and his staff. Would highly recommend to anyone.

He miscommunicated with me. Actually said verbatim "worry about it later" I ended up in the ER. Other than that he was ok. But I regret choosing this dr. The rest of his staff are also more rude/unpleasant than anywhere else I go - except the people at the front desk..they're very nice.

Total shoulder replacement..Dr Forno was great, shoulder is like new. Thanks

A++++. Great doctor. Really goes the extra mile. Spends time with you and explains all options. I’ve been a nurse for 30 years and know the good ones. Dr. Forno has a well deserved reputation in Santa Fe, he has taken care of many friends and colleagues and can’t say enough good things. All surgeries and treatments I’ve seen have been top notch. Both my shoulders now feels 20 years younger after having rotator cuff surgery with him! Wish the rest of my body could be fixed that easy. Thanks Dr. Forno! A++++. Great doctor. My experience was almost exactly like the person who rated Dr. Forno on March 25, 2017. I had a carpal tunnel release under local anesthesia in October.. He talked nonstop to the OR staff and he never once asked how I was doing. When I told him it was hurting and asked him to stop talking, he was rude and condescending. I was told it was a simple 15 minute procedure and it was ""no big deal."" I am now 7 weeks post-op with nerve pain and some loss of use in that hand. I'm so sorry I went to him

I give Dr. Forno and his staff A 5 Star rating. He did a Complete shoulder replacement November of 2016. I had excellent surgery and recovery.

Dr Forno performed a Reverse Shoulder Replacement last November. The surgery went without incident. After 2 weeks of recovery I was better than before the surgery. Dr. Forno has a great team.

Dr. Forno and his staff were all friendly and very helpful. My surgery (carpal tunnel on right hand) went very well, timing was perfect, and I experienced no pain and healed quickly. I would recommend Dr. Forno in a heart beat! He was caring and realistic about my care.

Horrible, horrible! I had a tendon release surgery in May 2016. I only have the use of one arm/hand. I injured the one & only hand I could use. He told me it was going to be a simple surgery & easy recovery & that I could use my arm immediately after surgery. Less than one year later and my arm is in more pain than ever. During my surgery he was having a discussion with his assistant about his new sports car & how fast it was. He is rude & does not listen at all

dr forno did 3 surgeries on my hand over the last 3 months. i had a tendon release on the wrist and 2 needle aponeurotomies for du puytrens's contracture. all in the right hand. he did excellent jobs in all 3. i have had needle aponeurotomies in the past and the procedure itself was very painful and the outcome mediocre . this time it was " a walk in the park" and the outcome very good! even though dr forno can be a bit short sometimes, he is the best hand specialist i have come across
