Dr. Peter Michael Skaliy

I first saw Dr. Skaliy in 2006 for lower back pain. He gave me 3 injections which really helped. Over the years I have seen different pain doctors and none really helped. I finally located the doctor in early 2019 when my back went out. He has given me several injections that thankfully have lessened my lower back and sciatica pain. I think Dr. Skaliy is extremely professional and knowledgeable about how to deal with the pain and which procedure may be best for you. There are times when the wait may be longer than you would like but that doesn't happen very often. His staff has always been very helpful and kind. He sees patient and does procedures in the same building since one part of the building is a surgical wing. He has his own parking lot so you don't pay to park. During this Corona Virus shutdown he has done follow-up via phone calls. I don't know about virtual visits since I don't know hos to do that. I would recommend Dr. Skaliy to anyone with back pain.

Our experience with Dr. Skaliy was great. He took time to evaluate my son's back pain, explain his injury, and offer options to relieve the pain. Can't ask for more than that. Insurance paid all but the co-pay.

The doctor and his staff took time to assess my pain, he explained my MRI results, and I feel like a finally have a doctor who can alleviate my chronic back pain!

Love Dr. Mike and staff. My son has had some back problems and I found Dr Mike doing a web search for top spine doctors in the USA. He’s been very informative and going the extra mile to try and help my son with his problems. He spent a lot of time listening to us and talking. Really feel like he will be able to help. We’ve just started seeing him and can’t wait to see how he’ll help my son

I have been seeing Dr. Skaliy since 2006 on and off. He has help with some very important decisions on my back health. He is direct and to the point he does not play around when it comes to prescribing meds not saying he has not ever taken care of my pain needs but he knows when it is time to cut back or stop all together.

The billing and insurance department is very unorganized and do not follow through with the insurance company for pre-approvals, and demand payment even when you know that they will have to reimburse the patient.

Not happy with the service provided. Went to Dr. Skaliy for back pain and he spent less than 10 minutes with me then wanted me to pay $400 for a drug test before he would prescribe any pain reliever. I understand he does not want to get involved in Dr. shopping, but $400 for drug testing is outrageous. To add to the misery, when I made the appointment and told them my insurance company they said that I was in network. They are not. Now I am responsible for the full amount of the office visit.

This doctor on the first visit spent more time on his little apple computer than he did looking at the problems that I the patient had. Would not let me finish a statement before he was interrupting me and trying to finish my statement with another question. Not a very good first impression of a doctor. When you tell him something, he acts as if he does not believe you. Not looking for drugs. Can't take them. Looking for relief. Doctor was not the one that could give it to me.
