My son has severe autism and is usually loud and rowdy during appointments. This bothers some doctors. Dr. Heymann never seems bothered by my son's behavior. He always spends as much time as I need explaining things to me and doesn't get annoyed when I ask a million questions. He is patient, kind, and concerned. I never feel rushed like I do at some other doctors' offices. I always get my questions answered in the office and when I call or submit questions through MyChart. No other doctor had ever bothered to run tests to see what my son was allergic to. Other doctors always just pushed drugs at us--drugs my son usually couldn't tolerate. Dr. Heymann took the time to figure out what my son was allergic to and helped us come up with treatments that my son could tolerate and benefit from.
