Dr. Peter Samo Dovgan

I hope this is correct doctor as I took my father for his cardiovascular update/ appointment and we went to his office in Melbourne (not Merritt Island). This is a new doctor for my father as the previous one retired. I am very impressed with the staff (who got us in right away), the nurse (or medical assistant) who was super sweet and perky, and the doctor who definitely knows his practice! He took time with us to explain everything, was patient, answered our questions and was direct which we appreciated. Overall, very pleased with Dr. Dovgan (and my father loved the last doctor so he had a hard act to follow :) )

Dr. Dovgan took care of my husband last year. I couldn’t possibly put into words how unbelievably Awesome this doctor is. He genuinely cares which is Huge for us, but he went out of his way on multiple occasions and went the extra mile trying to make sure my husband received the care he needed. His staff in the office were all wonderful as well and I know they too went above and beyond. We would highly recommend this doctor without questions. I have had a DVT entire left leg 30 yrs ago. The femoral vein is narrow. I've been found to have May-Thurner's which he denied I had. He removed the superficial saphenous vein, which should NOT have been done knowing the femoral vein was so very narrow. How could I have been so stupid? My thigh is twice the size w/swelling now, b/c with narrow femoral, one needs the saphenous to help it. Very unprofessional, bordering on boorish. Talking politics during my procedure, with his minions freely talking also. As I was undergoing procedure! He entered in the wrong place, then re-entered proper place, without a word to me. If you have varicose veins, maybe he's for you. He is a danger to those with serious venous issues. Run away. He won't care.

The doctor dismissed me because i have allergy's to the medication he wanted me to use to have a test. So after he gets paid for 4 visits he gets rid of you as a client. I would stay far away from him. His staff are first rate in my estimation but he seems to be in it for the money nothing more. seeing as he collected for 4 other visits and even cxled my appointment after i did my 20 miles to his office.

After two different doctors tried 3 attempts to clean out veins on my leg, Dr. Dovgan did a bypass and the leg that had been on the verge of amputation is now receiving good blood circulation and I am able to walk again without so much pain.

Stay Away , He lied to me about the reason he wanted to do vein surgery on both legs when only one was hurting . He said the previous vein closure didn't work and a redo with a glue would work . One leg was complete but while being prepped for leg two I was told another procedure was needed. I questioned why on an unpainful leg. Dr Dovgan became quite combative at me and then shouted at his staff . I became terrified and insisted on leaving . I went for 2nd opinion ,no surgery needed..

The worst, orogant and impulsive. He performed two unsuccessful surgeries to clean blockage in my artery. Because the way he perform both Angiogram surgery, I have to go through a by pass surgery to rectify his wrong doing. I will not recommend this doctor at all
