I called to make an appointment for the beginning of the year as a new patient and had the displeasure of speaking to the receptionist, Laurie, who spoke to me like I was a complete inconvenience to her and her job. She had the audacity to say “I hope you’re not trying to get in before the end of the year because it’s not going to happen” which I wasn’t and while trying to give her the date I had available, she interrupted me. I ended up scheduling with the Optometrist at the Royse City Walmart, so when I called to cancel my appointment at the Greenville location, Laurie seemed relieved. Overall I can’t see how Laurie is an asset to this company, which is very clear from the other reviews that are on here. The only eye doctor I ever use!

I am so sorry to hear that some have had a bad experience, I did not. I really enjoyed my appointment from start to finish. For both myself and my daughter. I am a high minus and I really like to see. I have seen better with the Rx Dr. Cavli provided then I have in YEARS. Will return.

I was treated by Dr. Calvi for the first time last Thursday. I found him to be very professional, proficient, and patient. He solved and explained two issues that had bothered me greatly. He 's great; his staff is great, and his office is spotless! No complaints here! May 2021

I have used Dr. Calvi for several years and I have always had a very thorough eye exam and great results with my bi-focal prescriptions.

the receptionists is very rude and no help at all.

Dr Calvi has been fine for us. However the front desk girl is rude every time you call. Likes she’s put out having to do her job.

I’m gonna have to go ahead and agree with the other negative reviews about the receptionist. She was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE and cold while scheduling my appointment in person (including refusing to acknowledge me standing in front of her for 5 whole minutes before I ended up saying something, no eye contact whatsoever, just talked to me while staring at her papers on the desk) that I ended up not even going to the appointment just to avoid her. This could be a great doctor, but I and many others will never get a chance to find out, because the guardians of Hades loaned their front gatekeeper lady out for receptionist work for some reason. Been seeing the guy for 16 years and will continue until he retires or I move.

He has helped my family and I with glasses, diagnosing Macular Degeneration. He has helped us greatly.

Dr Calvi, is the best he is been my eye dr for 9 years and now he is my kids eyes doctor also.

This Dr is a jerk. I went to him on a recommendation. DO NOT USE HIM. He gave me one trial pair of contacts and wrote me a prescription for 6 boxes of contacts. I went next door to the VIsion Center. They ordered my contacts and I only got 4 boxes for each eye. WIth 6 contacts in each box. 4 x 6 = 24. Replacing them every 2 weeks. 24 x 2 = 48. That's only 48 weeks. Anyway you do the math that is not a 1 Year supply of CONTACTS! What an IDIOT! SO with the trial pair, i have 50 weeks. I am still one week short. What a jerk. The Vision Center is even worse. I will not go back there. I will be finding a new eye provider. I miss my old one. He was the best. I am hoping he will take my insurance next year! DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY~

This is by far the best eye doctor I have been to. I had a injury that required emergency care and he took me in without an appointment. A couple of years ago he set me up with some glasses and I am very pleased with them.

Dr Calvi is very thorough and accurate when doing exams. He solved my son's eye problems that 2 other doctors missed.

I have a high correction and need a Dr who takes his time and gets the details right. Dr. Calvi was able to solve several issues I was having. He has earned my confidence.

Wonderful doctor. He got me and my 3 children in the same day for appts. Their ages where 3-7 and he was kind and patient with each of them. I hAve worn glasses since 3rd grade and contacts since 6th grade (I am 38) Dr Calvi worked way past closing to help me figure out my current prescription. He picked contacts that sit wonderfully in my tired dry eyes. Finally a doctor who doesn’t rush through the exam. His staff is extremely kind as well. Wonderful doctor. I personally haven't used the Dr. but I have taken my daughter and granddaughter to him. They needed glasses and we were pleased with his service.

Can't get an appointment here the Dr only works half days and takes forever to do anything.

Gotta say, could be quicker but I've been coming to him for years. Some people might have bad luck with him but I have no complaints.

Calvi seems to not care or take any pride in his work. The last few times I was in there, he was indifferent and just seemed like he didn't want to be there. I have repeatedly felt that he didn't do a thorough job of evaluating me and my confidence in his diagnoses is not as high as it used to be.

Do not go to this doctor for contacts. It took 5 visits over 2 months for him to get my prescription and size for my contacts correct. The first visit, he was very unprofessional. I had an appointment, and I was in the exam room. He opened the door to talk with his staff about another patient who got there after me before even starting my exam. Apparently, your time is not very important there. I tried to show him my previous prescription, but he said it wouldn't help. I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure this would have shortened the two months I had to wait. He even blamed my hormones for my prescription not being right. One of the several trial lenses for my left eye ripped in my eye. When I told him about it, he just shrugged it off. Now, after my contacts have been ordered for the YEAR, it has happened to my last trial lens. This obviously is not rare, but a common problem. Instead, choose a professional who takes you seriously.
