Dr. Pejman Cohan

I was a patient of Dr. Cohan's for the last eight years. I was very happy with the excellent care and sincere concern I always felt from him. At the end of February, 2023 I called his office to ask a question about my Diabetes and was told by the person that answered the phone, that he was dropping me as a patient because he no longer was treating Diabetes Type One patients! I was given no previous warning about this change and have received no word at all from Dr.Cohan himself to this day. I am deeply disappointed at this decision but more so, at the way it was handled. It was inappropriate and unprofessional. It takes months to find and get an appointment with a new Endocrinologist. I think that a phone call wold have been kinder and more suitable. YOu just don't do this if you care about your patients well being.

I started seeing Dr. Cohan about 15 years Agan and I truly think he saved my life— he certainly changed my health for the better. He is so thoughtful and caring— he truly listens and does a deep dive to solve intricate health concerns. He treats his patients as the complex puzzles we are and works hard to figure out just what pieces aren’t fitting properly and why that is and then he comes up with a plan that actually makes you not only feel better but also vastly improves the quality of your life. I am so very grateful to be one of his patients and have recommended several friends see him as well — they are all his patients now and feel the same way. Leticia and Melissa were n his office are equally professional, hard working, caring, smart, and patient. All visits to the doctor should be as helpful and thorough as every visit to Dr. Cohan is. Even if something scary os going in, he gets you through it and you know he cares.

Dr. Cohan has been my Endo on and off for 15+ years. He is a compassionate doctor that actually cares for his patients. He also carefully considers his patients input, because after all we know our bodies pretty well.

First let me say that I ended up canceling the appointment for me and my wife because their staff is not accommodating. I waited over for 30 days to get an appointment. When I realized and complained that I thought the appointment was in person, they told me it was online only, they canceled my appointment and then claimed they couldn't get me in for another 30 days, unless I paid an extra $500. The doctor is more than happy to waste your time and money. Not only do they charge a CRAZY amount of money ($900 - and don't take insurance) for a 60 min appointment, but they didn't even require any blood work to been done prior to the meeting. They claim that you first meet with the Dr. to discuss your "issues' and then they send you to get the blood work to only have to meet the Dr again for 30 min at $450 so he can come up with a plane for you. Stay Away!

My elderly father has been seeing Dr Cohan for a number of years, and really been a great supportive Doctor. or that's what I thought! He changed his practice to zoom only since covid started I was hoping to wait for the office to reopen, since my father isn't the best candidate for zoom meeting. I was also told that now the dr charges $2500 per year which in my fathers case is $1250 per visit for zoom call visit. I just went to see a new doctor who was shocked that my father wasn't not told that he would no longer be getting his prescription since he's not paying $2500 per year. Im shocked that this office is all about money. How would they not at least notify the primary to take over the prescription that was keeping his diabetes In check ( or as much as possible ). To add to that his office is non caring and outright rude. Very dissappointing! Find yourself a doctor who really cares especially for an elderly parent

Dr. Cohan is wonderful. He guided me through a disease that took me by surprise at 30 and has been a huge help ever since. Won't see anyone else.

Dr. Cohan is an astounding doctor. He is very smart and friendly, he saved my life. Thank you.

If Jesus was a doctor, He would be Dr. Pejman Cohan. Dr. Pejman Cohan is a tremendous doctor and he will be forever my go to doctor until the day he retires. I feel so fortunate and blessed to be under Dr. Cohan’s care. I’ve never met a doctor so empathetic and compassionate and I wish more doctors were like him. I’ve fought for a diagnosis for 7 years and seen over 15 specialists but doctors would not give me time of day. I would constantly be misdiagnosed, told that there was nothing wrong with me or to see a psychiatrist per my last endocrinologist. I’ve been trying to advocate for myself and crying for help but would be dismissed that it was due to mental illness. Everything changed once I met Dr. Pejman Cohan an appointment I’ll never forget. I felt understood and he is so caring. He takes the time to listen to his patients and is absolutely, the best doctor I’ve ever seen. I’m from NJ but I would move to California for him. He listens, truly cares and allows his patients to be a part of their own treatment. I wish I found him sooner than wasting my money and time about my health with other incompetent doctors. Besides being a brilliant doctor, Caring is Dr. Pejman’s real speciality. “I won’t give up on you” is what he told me during our first appointment and what I needed to hear to keep going. Dr. Cohan is the most knowledgeable, intelligent, professional and compassionate of the four doctors I see. He takes time to listen, he goes over your chart and blood test results thoroughly! I find great comfort and have great confidence in putting my life in his hands! I am blessed to call him my doctor!!

Dr. Cohan is an excellent endocrinologist. I am in remission from Cushing's disease. He is one of the few specialist I trust with this rare disease. When I had serious health issues I came to him and he saved me. His staff are very professional and get everything done efficiently. So important when you have a chronic illness.

Dr Cohan was very kind and caring in person but those sentiments quickly waned as I did not produce the easy slam dunk test results he wanted to see. I definitely felt abandoned and unsupported by him, however he has made it clear that he, along with Dr Kelly, no not “believe” in cyclical Cushing’s Disease. If you think you have episodic highs, please don’t waste your time and money: a better bet is Dr Friedman who will actually help you. I am now on the other side and In remission and healing thanks to Dr Friedman and Dr Linskey at UCI. Both his office staff and Dr. Cohan are incredible. Each and every time I am seen at Dr. Cohan's office have been first class experiences. His personal care, and the time that is extended to me is without any issues whatsoever. I have never left the office feeling that I was not 100% satisfied with all my questions answered.
