I have had both neck and lumbar surgery with Dr Mitchell this year. He is a fabulous surgeon, genuinely compassionate, and an effective communicator. I trust him completely and my husband will be having lumbar surgery with him soon. He’s a very impressive human and I’m so fortunate to have been referred to him.

Amazing doctor, staff, gives you the best situation for your case, and really feels for the patient

Dr. Mitchell is a great Doctor, he takes his time with you at each visit and ensures that you are well taken care of. He also makes sure that all your questions are answered, and he is sure to listen to what you have to say about your injury or your illness. NOTE. your appointment will never be on time, and you will wait an hour or more past your scheduled time. HOWEVER, the time that you wait it is well worth it because he is a not a 10 - minutes doctor who is hurrying you up to go to the next patient. BEST DOCTOR AROUND, I'll wait 3 hours to see him. His staff are amazing as well (TIFFANY) and the front desk.

I love Dr. Mitchell and his staff! I’m a person with TM and much pain. Thankful Dr. Mitchell was able to alleviate my spinal pain. Very compassionate and caring. I highly recommend him!

Such a kind and humble man

He takes him time on n understanding the patient and their needs. No judgement. Develops a treatment plan without bouncing you around. One of my favorite doctors!!!!!

The BEST Dr. ever.

Just had my L4 fused down to my S1,I have to say Dr Mitchell is amazing bed side manners is great for his patience and he really listens to your concerns,I would recommend him any day when it comes to surgery, and again Thank you Dr.Mitchell......

Before surgery I was in pain every wakeing hour. Always on pain meds. Dr Mitchell fused L 3,4,5 toghether and had to shave part of L 2. The day after and two weeks later I'm pain free. In my opinion Dr Paul mitchell saved my life and gave me a second chance at life. I will forever thank him. What he does for people, he is definitely one of God's angels. He was the Best

Not only is dr. Mitchell a fabulous surgeon but his bedside manner is awesome and he actually listens to you and even remembers things that you said at appointments in the past.

Dr. Mitchell is amazing! His staff is also wonderful too. I am just now in the beginning stages of my healing from lumbar surgery, and everytime I have a question they call me back within a reasonable time frame. They are a wonderful practice. Dr. Mitchell absolutely knows what he is doing, and he is the only neurosurgeon I will ever see! I have a few other issues too, and if the need arises to have them fixed Dr. Mitchell will be who I see. Trust me you will not be sorry. Also, he will not operate on you unless he feels it is absolutely necessary. He will be sure before he just does a surgery. Give him a try, you will not be sorry you did. Dr. Mitchell is amazing! The best doctor and a wonderful person. He is full of loving kindness and is the very best at what he does.

I have worked closely with Dr. Paul Mitchell. as far back when he was a Third Year senior Resident At NNMC (Bethesda) Before it became (Wally World), Those Dr's at that time were the cream of the Crop, Dr Mitchell continued onto Portsmouth Naval then he left the Military to enter into Private Practice, He is one of the Best Neuro Surgery Doctors on the East Coast, He is Confident, assured, experienced and has a realm of colleagues from past and present he can consult with, He is an Expert!

He is just simply amazing!!!

Dr Mitchell is an excellent surgeon and he knows what he's doing. He has performed surgery on me twice and each one was very effective. He is the only Surgon I will let operate on my back. I think he is brilliant.

Dr. Mitchell fused L1-L5 after I fractured two vertebrae by falling out of a tree in 2003. I'm submitting this review 14 years later to report that the surgery was literally a miracle in terms of how it fixed my spine, ended long-term chronic back pain and improved my general health. At age 71 I'm still more active, have better weight control, and just generally feel better. I found Dr. Michell to be an engaged, thoughtful and incredibly skillful surgeon. I give him my highest recommendation.

I was referred to Dr Mitchell for evaluation of my scoliosis. However someone put the reason for appointment as back pain. Only 1 of mri's were reviewed before my appointment. I feel Dr Mitchell was not prepared for my issue. I will not return.
