Dr Le is the most insensitive and dismissive doctor I've ever met. Initially he seemed nice, but after a couple of injections that did very little, Dr Le decided to just give up on me. Told me I was better off not on the painkillers, saying'you are too young to be on medication the rest of your life'. Without even trying to find any other solution. When I told him I didn't want to quit working (as the painkillers let me get through a part time job) he flippantly told me that if it was so bad, to just get on disability. Something I had already failed to get on despite many doctors saying I couldn't work enough to live off. After more arguing, he snapped at me and told me it was because I was obese (I have a hormonal issue causing weight gain), and that the only reason it hurt to walk so much was that I wasn't trying to walk enough. Ignoring me telling him that it was a favourite hobby before, and that I had pushed through the pain until it was so bad it was stranding me.

Dr. Le is one of the finest Doctors I've ever been to and Lords knows that's a lot....He has been hands-on trying to help me with the pain that I have been putting up with for years. Most of the doctors just renew my meds and send me on my way but he tries to cover every angle every month....My many thanks to him....The world needs lots more like him........Stephen Carter

Very bad experience with this Dr. I saw him for the first time and it will be the last! He has no bed side manners, is extremely impatient, does not listen or communicate with the patient. After telling him I did not wanted to be treated with steroids his assistant showed up with a tray with small vials and when I asked what they were one of them was a steroid. He was going to administer a steroid without my consent or knowledge. I had to remind him I was in pain and was an elderly woman after he told me I was being difficult because I was trying to pinpoint the location of the pain for the injection on my back. He lacks compassion, kindness and is very rude. I've never been treated with extreme impatience and will never go back to him.

I am 60 years old and this was perhaps the worst doctor’s visit I’ve ever had, so bad it was almost comical. I have multiple conditions, including but not limited to bursitis in both shoulders, chronic back pain (I’ve had a laminectomy, plus I have a bulging disc) Calcium buildup in my right elbow from an injury that now prohibits me from straightening my arm all the way, in addition to giving me constant pain in varying levels, etc., plus I have ADHD which may account (at least partially) for Dr. Lee’s incredibly abrupt and suspicious manner… I do tend to wander! Still, this does not justify him raising his voice at me and accusing me of seeking drugs within 10 minutes of meeting me. I’ve had two total knee replacements and became addicted to oxycodone after the second one, but I’ve been opioid free for 10 years and had he spoken with me at any length about my history he should’ve been able to tell that I was not seeking drugs but alleviation from the chronic pain that I suffer.

I was sent to him by my other Dr. and I couldn't get over how bad this Dr. was. when I started asking about this or that he would just get very upset and told me I am not God I don't know what you want from me. He told me I was half full and nothing he said would help me. I don't think anyone should see this Dr. for anything he cares less about people and there pain. He shouldn't get away with the way he acts around people and saying bad things to you. I will never see another pain Dr. after seeing this so called Pain Dr. Paul le. Terrible! He violated FDA protocols to get me into a study for a spinal cord stimulator device. Despite knowing my phobias around objects under my skin, he pulled a bait and switch, and instead of implanting a small, thin device, not much bigger than a silver dollar, he implanted a device the size of a flip phone. And THEN I had to threaten to go to the media to get him to remove it. Do NOT let this man touch you. I have scars and a misshapen place on my butt due to that device. He does NOT care about his patients. And yes, I filed a complaint with the Medical Board. Twice. They backed him, of course. If I had a way to make sure no one ever trusted him as a doctor again, I would do it.

Dr Lee was engaged and interested. Good listener. Never felt rushed. I didn't feel pushed. I've had lower back problems since I was 19yo. Im late 50's now. I hope he stays around as my doctor for a couple more decades. Thanks for the help!

I am a Disabled Senior with Chronic degenerative disc disease [Osteo arithritis] No surgery can help me . I have Documentation from several Doctors about my Condition . I'm am in a lot of pain all day ,plus I have a severely Bad Hip and am waiting for Covid to end so I may have replacement surgery .. I was referred to Dr Le . He was very rude and treated me like a suspect of a crime . He found fault with every medication on the list I brought with me that included a Summary of my last Visit with my 'Primary Care Dr. He made gross accusations to me ! He made threats and Verbally Abused me the whole time. My pain level was an 8 at the time and I felt very faint when I made my way out of the office . His staff was kind and obviously afraid of him . I went his clinic in good faith and left in disbelief that a "Pain Dr. " could be So Dis compassionate .. He Never addressed my pain issue or examined me. He called me derogatory names whenever I tried to get a word in . Stay Away !!

What a jerk! He thinks he knows your whole story and nothing you say will change that. Basically told me my problems weren't really that bad and I wasn't trying hard enough. My life has been ruined by pain and I just wanted help.

Horrible Doctor if you'd call him a doctor. No bedside manner at all. Rude and doesn't care about his patients at all. Care more about making money through procedures that actually treating the patient. Very sad. He's leaving APA at the end of March 2018 and going to another practice in Austin. South office will be down to one doctor. They're all leaving and it's no surprise. Worst experience of my life.

Dr. Le takes great care of me! Due to a nerve disorder, I need nerve block procedures-Dr. Le does a great job of making the pain disappear. He is also very personable. He was recommended to me by a leading Austin neurologist, for which I am glad.

If you are wanting a doctor who talks about himself the whole appointment, picks his nose non-stop, charges you UNGODLY rates, loses your records, and doesn't give two flips about you as a patient, I'd highly recommend him.

I. Will tell people do not go to Dr.Paul le receive any injection from him .Jan 2015 i went in for injection with Dr. Le..he missed injection site and hit vessel causing a massive hematoma , crushing my spinal cord he knew something was wrong on. His end whn I complained immediately after procedure , cldnt move my left leg..he did not call it in as an emergency, though in reports he stated he noticed more blood after the procedure.was taken to to st.David. .n.austin spinal cord crushed.

I am 29 years old and have suffered from chronic pain/nerve injury resulting in CRPS for 4 years. I would like to take a moment to recognize Dr. Paul Le of Pain Doctor - Austin for essentially saving my life. Prior to being a patient of Dr. Le, I had another pain specialist who brushed me off, treated me as a drug seeker all while going through a process of oral meds, nerve blocks, nerve ablations, and IV infusions that either all failed or actually exacerbated my CRPS. Dr is self absorbed ad rude. His staff is incompetent and is more interested in operating the business rather than actually helping patients. The last appoint I had with dr le was to re evaluate and figure things out. When dr Le came in all he did was berate me and tell me to find another practice.

I had a wonderful visit with Dr Le. He understood my whole case before he walked into the room. He respected my knowledge and asked my opinion regarding my condition. He was totally engaged, and we accomplished a lot together. He's even going to do some research on a potential treatment for my very specific condition. He spoke to me like an equal. Dr. Le Paul H is self absorbed and straight to the point. He will diagnosis you in the first 10 seconds of meeting him, possibly before getting to shake his hand. I've been dealing with chronic pain for almost five years and he turned me away in a seconds notice.
