His nurses from beginning to end were very gracious, Dr Jett was one of the many Dr I’ve seen over the years and He was the best honest . Did a full exam took his time with me and said I needed physical therapy and said I did not need this injection in my spine again (steroid) . I am very pleased. Pass the good news . Dr. Jett is very good. Kind honest patience and good looking !

Well,I sat there and waited to be called back and I was the last to be called.Even though I was there an hr.before others or more.When I did get back there to him he had his mouth full of chocolate and could,nt talk to me.So his nurse did the talking for him.i wasn't explained the procedure or what was goin to be done.He started sticking the needle probe in my hand and arm about 5 times and he dug it in to my nerve it hurt so bad.When he finished he didn't say a word to me and I had to ask if he was finished.The nurse seemed stunned at his behavior.And walked me out.This was sheer revenge because I had missed rescheduled 2 appts.1 due to my sister passing away and the second because of that winter storm we had.I can't drive in ice,and snow.Besides my electric was going off and on.So if he would act that way to me look out he may hold a grudge to you and do worse.I,m appalled he takes an oath as a dr.and look how he acted.I,d be scared to have him do surgery acting that way.Nurse nice.!

I was sent to see Dr Jett by my pain management Dr for a nerve conduction test the nurses were great ,but Dr Jett was not a very pleasant and Friendly Dr and he was really Ruff during the test , and the order was to test both arms and both legs ,but he only did one side of my body ,but still told my Dr he did both sides which was a total lie he did do both arms and one leg, but not the leg that was needing the testing the most ,and billed my insurance for both full sides which stops me from getting the leg I need tested ,tested so I don't recommend this Dr at all :/

Everyone is friendly and the nurses put me at ease whenever I have an injection. The receptionists are welcoming and the doctors have a great sense of humor.

I took my 89 yr old Mother-in-law to Dr. Jett for a transforaminal epidural. He was so kind to her and helped her to feel comfortable about a procedure she was nervous about. He took his time explaining the procedure to us prior to taking her back. While I wasn't in the room for the procedure, my Mother-in-law assured me that they took very good care of her. She had leg cramps when she laid down on the table and Dr. Jett and one of the nurses massaged her legs till the cramps were gone. She was cold and Dr. Jett himself went and found her a warmed sheet and wrapped it around her. I will forever be grateful to them for taking such good care of her. I highly recommend Dr.Jett. He and his staff were all wonderful to us.

Extremely nice guy, makes sure your as comfortable as expected.

My 70 year old mother spent 5 months in the hospital after so many catostrophic events piled up. I was very Leary of using any dr associated with Ballad because of this, but my mom needed Botox due to severe spasticity caused by no therapy while in a ballad facility. I am not sure about the experiences others have had, but let me tell you, we LOVE Dr. Jett! My mom has had a stroke that has left her with the inability to speak well. From the first time we met Dr. Jett he talks to her and not around her. Our first visit he spent an hour with us going over everything. He was so thorough, so caring. That was 6 months ago and since then, Dr. Jett has been our go to on everything! If he was a family Dr, my whole family would see him no questions. My mom needed a bathroom modification for her wheelchair and he promptly handled it. Seriously he’s great! Not sure what the situations with the others are but I’ve never found him cocky or arrogant. He’s always taken time to listen to us. I would give him 10 stars if I could! His nurse practitioner, nurses and office staff are also super nice. Everything that Mrs Stockton said was true I witnessed that!! I was going to be sent to this doctor by my PCP and then I found that review, which put a stop to that.

I think some of these reviews are overly harsh but there are some truth to it. Saw Dr. Jett for some back issues and initially it went fine. Went through injections and ablations. The ablation helped some. But our meetings were always very short and they denied me a 2nd one citing that it didn’t work enough to warrant a 2nd one. Did not offer alternative treatment either. Decent doctor, office could use a bit better communication and professionalism. Edit: I was called later on to say they had made a mistake and I should have been able to receive a 2nd but frankly I was turned off by them getting it wrong the first time. Dr Jett is one of the greatest Doctors he helped me with a lot of my back pain on my right lower I’m now experiencing pain on my left side have been recommended to see him about an injection on left side. Couldn’t think of a better doctor to see. Thank you Dr Jett for being one of the tops in your field.

Been to the office 3 times saw the Dr one of the 3 when he gave me 2 shots. Took about 5 min. He wouldn't answer my questions said I could talk to assistant when I returned for follow-up. Shots did absolutely nothing for me. Follow-up next week. Will be last visit.

Office hours are incorrect. Trying to get an appointment for my 82 yr old father who is an existing patient and in severe pain. Answering service at 8 am stated that the office often doesn't transfer phone until 8:30. Then after 8:30 with no answer the answering service stated that the office is closed every other Friday/Monday but they don't know if that is today. At least inform the answering service if open or not. Lack of correct information and basic office management is extremely frustrating especially when a loved one is in so much pain. I have severe scoliosis with a 40 degree upper curve and a 42 degree bottom curve. I have chronic pain from my neck all the way down to my lower back. He is refusing to give me any more pain medicine, which I have took for years, because of "my age". I'm 46. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SEE THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A DOCTOR!

I gave one star because I couldn’t give a zero. I have put off inputting more to this review until now. While Jett has great reviews from some patients regarding procedures or how he has helped them, I am not one of them. I changed doctors three days after the last procedure due to not only thing that occurred that day but also due to a lack of what I consider to be after care. The last procedure sent me to the ER after all of my upper body muscles constricted and made it hard to breathe and caused chest pains. Needless to say the trip to the ER via ambulance was a total waste of time and money as they did not treat my pain-Ballad Health. Procedure Friday, I called the office within an hour after I left, no call back, ER on Saturday, changed doctors Monday, Jetts office called me back Tuesday! Jett intentionally caused the muscles in my upper back to spasm at the beginning of the procedure for what I can only assume was to show the intern what the machine did as that was not the area he was supposed to be deadening the nerves in. Did I get any relief? That depends on how you look at it. The area of your back to be deadened is numbed with a laticain made to numb nerves. Your back is now supposedly all numb they do the procedure and then your asked your pain level. Of course it’s lower because you have been shot full of laticain! My answer is No, Jett didn’t help me at all. I can honestly say I have more pain now than I did prior to seeing him and I have no doubt that that is due to things that happened in last 3 of the 4 visits. Anxiety from his treatment? You bet! Wires got crossed, things PA said and what was actually going to happen with new doctor didn’t jive and something I was told would happen isn’t, but part of it is. Prior to the nurse calling me back I was honestly seriously considering canceling the nerve deadening on the sacreal joints because of horrors I endured with Dr Jett. I asked my PCP to refer me to Dr. Paul Jett because of undiagnosed deep, dull pain, bilateral thighs and calves, ongoing for two years. In addition to pain, my muscles get sore after use. Dr. Jett, in my opinion, seemed rushed and didn't ask me enough questions, particularly, he didn't appear to focus on my expectations and the reason for my visit. He got sidetracked because I've had bilateral lumbar muscle spasms for years. He ordered x-rays of my back, an MRI, and an EMG, thinking I had sciatica. I do not have any of the symptoms of sciatica, so I cancelled the EMG, did not schedule an MRI of my back. I am upset because he wants me to follow up with an NP instead of him. I've been seeing Dr. Jett for a neck injury involving muscle and ligaments. He has given me my life back. I drive 2 1/2 hrs one way to see him every 3 months and it is definitely worth it.

Great doctor and staff. The only pain doctor I've been to that treated the pain and didn't try to cover it up with pain meds. He deserves better reviews. If all you are after is pills don't go. If you need a good doctor for relief from pain there is none better in the Tri-cities.

The receptionist is rude and condescending, and my Dr, Allison Raettig is rude as well and Dr. Jett didn't seem to knowledgeable at all, the one time I saw him he didn't listen to my problems. After being talked to like a child I was refused care. I definitely do NOT recommend that place it was an overall horrible experience

This is the most horrible doctor I've ever witnessed & I've been to a lot of doctor's. My husband went in & the first thing out off his mouth was in going to get you off pain meds. My husband fell off a roof & paralyzed him. When he went to Jett he had a pressure wound that had eaten all the way to his back bone & all he was concerned about was his meds. Seen Dr.Jett yesterday and at first I was a little iffy reading some of the reviews, but I will say he was nothing but amazing! He was very cheerful & talkative which made the procedure go by quickly! I definitely reccomend him!

I came to Dr Jett about 5 years ago and I was practically disabled. I had to quit my job because it was too physically demanding. There was not a day that went by when even the most simple activities didn't send me into horrific back spasms. Dr Jett did not dismiss me because I was overweight, he did not shove prescriptions at me, he treated me, and because of his care I am now able to work in my new profession as an RN. I am able to work on my feet for 12 hours a day and go home and live a full life and it is a direct result of his care, or else I'm sure I would be disabled right now. i went to see Dr Jett for a Radio Frequency Ablasion procedure, because of the pain i had at my lower back, right about the belt line on both sides. The pain was so bad i could not get but about 4 to 5 hours sleep at night, After Dr Jett finished his procedure on me, I am able to sleep through the night again. DR Jett was very professional, and so was his staff! I would recommend that anyone who is a candidate for this procedure to go see Dr. Jett. He is very Knowledgeable in this field of work. I read the reviews for Dr Jett prior toy appointment. Because of one of experiences I decided not to go see him. I told my dr and she told me to go. I did. I was so surprised when I met him He was very supportive and professiona I was very pleased with his bedside manner. He is exactly what a Doctor should be I am so glad I went. Dr. Jett and his nurse practitioners have taken care of me for some time. When I was diagnosed with cancer her made it a point to come in and wish me the best and told me to never give up. He and his staff are compassionate and caring people.

I was referred there to have a only a spinal injection done then to have a follow up with my back surgeon, however Dr. Jett refused to give me the injection. He was rude and seemed to have no care. Left the office in even more pain after his so called exam! I will not be returning!

Wanted to put me thru physical therapy with Nothing for the pain. Gave me a spinal injection with NO numbing meds. Give him zero stars if I could. A family member of mine has seen him twice. I cannot believe that he can talk to patients the way he does and have the horrible bedside manner he does. The first time my family member went for their appointment Dr.Jett was OVER an hour late, no apology. Just because you have a MD degree does not make you above anyone-just look at the horrible reviews. This doctor is only in business due to referrals. If he had a private practice he'd never survive. His patient referrals pay some of his salary and he should have respect for those he serves. The second appointment he was a complete jerk, complete waste of time. Then he treated me like I was some kind of drug addicted because I was having a sugar low due to being hypoglycemic. He has given me 2 injections. Had my first visit last week with Dr. Jett and my first injection yesterday. This is the first day since December 28 that I am not in throbbing pain. Unlike so many bad posts, I had nothing negative. Everyone from the receptionist to Dr. Jett himself were polite, helpful, compassionate and went above and beyond to get me in for relief. Entire visits were very pleasant and informative. My experience with Dr. Jett is not a good one at all. Very condescending and rude. Not compassionate at all. I was told to just deal with the pain. I’m 28 with chronic severe pain. He was very flippant and treated me like a number. At the end of the appointment, he started having a different conversation with the nurse and med student about something unrelated...while he was still in the room. That just shows you how disrespectful and that he didn’t care about anything I had to say.

I've seen Dr. Jett for about 3 years. He is caring, cautious, and listens attentively. He began treatments from least difficult for me to more complex as needed. I'm in my 90s, and have issues in my neck, back, legs, muscles and nerves—complicated. My family and I credit Dr. Jett for my ability to still use a walker instead of a wheelchair. He has greatly increase my quality of life, and that helps my family, too. Everyone in his office is courteous, efficient, and friendly. Trust Dr. Jett.

Not personable with his bedside manner. Was with my mother who was referred there for pain management and received no help whatsoever.

The absolute worst experience I have had with a Dr. In a nutshell, this quack was quick to recommend a surgical approach to my multiple spine issues. Little did I know I would have to endure a nightmare with the procedure he did on my spine. Much time after my procedure, which was performed without the necessary and normal protocol of a nerve block, I endured the full brunt of pain while being told to hold still it was important that I did not move. Pain far worse than having a child. It was gained through my own research. The ironic thing is if the compression fracture of my L1 vertebrae was found by this so-called Dr then I probably did not even need his procedure. UVA Dr. found my problem on a simple 3D x-ray. I would not recommend anyone to visit this Dr. Unless you are prepared to be lied to, do not trust him with your very delicate spine. It is that important. So please take the word of someone who has already seen this guy and was treated inhumane. This is one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. I was referred to him to see the condition of my degenerative disc condition in my cervical spine...for an mri and he immediately just says "I'm not going there with you" meaning he's not going to prescribe medicine (which I did not ask him for). He said "everyone has ddd" but it turns out I have a herniated disc in my cervical spine. He has the worst bed side manner and when made aware of his reviews both he and his nurse only had a very snide remark about the opinions of the patients who have left negative reviews about him. Not everyone is looking to drugs but he sure does treat you like that's all you want. I WOULD NOT take my dog to this man...he shouldn't even be allowed to call himself a doctor...doctors are supposed to be compassionate, considerate and if nothing else at least thorough...it should not be up to the patient to demand a test. This is one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. Really helps with my back.

I, had a bad sciatica problem, when, I went to see Dr.Jett, he, tried shots, he, tried just about everything to try to help me, with my pain...well, he, decided to cut the sciatic nerves, that was causing me, so much pain, so, I did this once for left side, an went back to do right side, it really helped me, to get this done! An I am super glad I did...but, I have to come back in 2 yrs. To get both sides done again....but, for now, all I am having trouble with is getting up out of bed in the morning, where, I am so very stiff...after I get up an going about my day, it usually goes away.. An I do not have any sciatica pain, at all now! Dr.Jett, helped me, an I am thankful, or I would still be in a lot, of pain....he, is knowledgeable in his field......an he, is an asset, to WELMONT...An yes, I would recommend Dr.Jett, to anyone, that had as bad a pain as I did with sciatica..... I had a radio frequency ablation on my back today. Had a very good experience, Dr Jett was great. Very compassionate and caring. Talked me through every step, and made me feel comfortable. Would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Dr. Jett and staff. 6/12/17

Dr. Jett has been my orthopedic Dr for a few years now. I went through several others before finding him and his staff. He and his staff have helped to alleviate my knee and hip issues, and we are now working on my back problems. I am thankful for them. He is an expert and has a wonderful bedside manner. Very attentive. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
