This Dr.Francis is absolutely amazing and kind, so thorough and caring. Explained all options and just the greatest Dr. ever. Office staff so nice, went above and beyond to read mri and report to me before seeing me. Just love him and staff. Is is my new neuro surg for life moving forward.

He had done both of my back surgeries (too much dam as he to repair all in one surgery session) and has excellent surgical skills and equally exceptionsl bedside manner and office explanation skills. Dr. Francis has my complete trust. No issues with surgeries now 4-5 later. I trust Dr. Francis inplicitly

I was told that this surgeon said I would need an anterior & posterior fusion to fis my lumnar issues. As I was about to go into the OR, he changed his mind & told me he was only going anteriorly. Here I am, just a few years later, needing that very vertebrae re-fused along with 2 others. Then, in a year from now, I need to h ave my scoliosis fixed. I would not go to Paul Francis if my life depended on it. The pain is too great.

Dr Paul Francis is amazing. He has an conservative approach to surgery and has been nothing but up front and honest with me. He could have fused my lumbar but chose a more conservative route which has kept me very comfortable and low pain 8 years later. Dr. Francis recently performed surgery on my Mother in law. The care he took in the initial appointment was so thorough. He took such great care of her that I cannot say enough good things. Would HIGHLY recommend this surgeon. Plus his staff is amazing too!

This man is a God send. He knows The Lord I assure you. It is nothing short of a Miracle that I am upright, walking and able to feed myself. My spinal cord was ripped in half by tiny fragments of my L-1 vertebrae which shattered after I was crushed under a tree after falling 25 feet. This man and his team were inside me with an electron microscope for 8.5 hours of surgery. God bless this man! This man is a God send. He knows The Lord I assure you. Dr. Paul Francis performed fusion surgery on my in 2014. He is amazing! His bed side manner was most delightful and his skills remarkable. I was up and about in 2 days and walking 2 miles a day within a week. When I consulted with the Mayo Clinic I was told I'd be out of commission for 12 weeks! Saw Dr. Francis in his Scottsdale office a week ago & it’s been years and I mean 25+ years since I have met such a personable, friendly, patient-centered doc. It reminded me of visits from my childhood to my beloved small town doctor (who still made house calls, until he retired, if it was an emergency!) Dr. Francis & I didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, but his perception is understandably skewed by nature of his profession, so I didn’t take offense. What impressed me was the time he took with each patient carefully reviewing records, which in & of itself is nearly unheard of these days (why? Bc the more patients they see, the more insurance reimburses for a visit). He not only reviewed my history & radiology reports, but the images themselves; often disagreeing with the Radiologist’s findings (instead of accepting the report as the de facto last word as many busy doctors are guilty of doing.) I chose Dr. Francis for my spine surgery because he’s meticulous & obviously cares.

Dr. Francis is a fre***king rock star! My husband can walk again!

He found the problem when no other doctor could. Walking again in 3 days. Thank God for Dr. Francis!

Dr Francis performed a hemi- craniotomy on my husband for a very very large hematoma post motorcycle accident. He is doing great post OP. Great bedside manner.

Dr. Francis is WONDERFUL. Kind, patient, compassionate, and a fabulous surgeon. Not only has he operated on my husband, but he has helped numerous other friends and colleagues.

Very good doctor. Got me in on short notice ( his staff helped with that also ). Saved me that way. I was a mess. Needed ALIF back fusion surgery. I was almost non functional. Tough situation. They got me In Quick and fixed it. 5 mos since surgery. Doing well. I need more recovery time but on the right road. Takes lots of patience. I am grateful they came through for me. He and I got along better as the process went on ( got to know each other I mean). I like him. He’s a very good surgeon. I’m sure of it and plenty busy. I recommend him. Very good doctor. Dr. Frances took me in when I was lost out there looking for a Dr. to help me after a rearend accident that left me with all kinds of horrible back, hip and leg pain. It took me a year to find him, but he did my L4, L5 spine fusion after viewing my exrays. He was straight forward in his words to my husband and myself. My surgery was a success, I'm healing very fast and well. He's meet with us 3 or 4 times during my healing and was so amazed that I was up and walking 1-2 miles 3-4 months out. Dr. Frances is alittle goofy in a good way, his bed side and office manner was very professional and he explained everything to us very well. My husband really connected with Dr Frances . Even Our teenage daughter meet him in his office and really liked him, he was so sweet to her. He's a Genius in his field as other Drs. have told us. And we definitely agree. Even though he'll never admit to it. I'm gonna really miss seeing him at my appts. I refer all my friends , everybody to him if they are in need of his services. Dr Francis performed emergency fusion on my lumbar area back in 2008. I couldn’t even stand at that point and the circumstances were the worst! I was given a 2nd chance because of his skill. I’m doing well after all this time- He took me on when no other doctor wanted to touch me. He is very compassionate and I would ask for him again in an instant! Good luck to you. My experience with Dr P Francis was amazing! I had been to see a few Doctors and they all gave me a different diagnosis, I was told to go to pain management in which I don’t want to go there because all they wanna do is give you meds and I don’t take meds. I end up going thank GOD I did because that Doctor came in and said I’ll be right back when she returns she hands me a phone number and said Dr Francis said call his office I said if he can’t help me I’m not calling and she was like I know he can so I called. Went to his office and was told I had 3 herniated bulging disc that was pressed against my nerve root this was affecting my ability to walk, he explained everything and I immediately admitted me. Thank you Dr Francis for helping me walk again I am forever greatful for you.

Great surgeon, even better person. Listens to his patients and answers all questions. Doesn't rush the patient out of his office.

My husband saw Dr. Francis for a back injury from a car accident...he offered no help and said my husband would have to just live with “chronic pain”. Thankfully we chose to get a second opinion. This Dr. showed no care that you would expect from a doctor and even made my husband feel worse about his injury, offering no hope or resources. If you’d like results I’d recommend going to another doctor immediately. I loved Dr Francis. He has great bed manners. He did my neck surgery and feel great.

After five years of pain, two mico surgeries, countless epidermals from a orthopedic doctor, Dr Francis successfully fused my L4/L5 disk. I am totally pain free, off all pain medications and healthier and stronger than I have been in my 60 years. He is truly a dedicated healer and professional I would recommend without hesitation.

Dr. Paul Francis saved me from living in a wheelchair. I can walk because of him. I'd been to three other doctors in Prescott and all didn't think I needed anything but shots in my back. NO! I lost the ability to know that I have to pee.... could have been so much worse if Dr. Francis hadn't put me in the OR 3 hours after meeting me. It's been 2 years and I cannot thank him enough. Look up Cauda Equina.

Was no help to the patient, did not explain the reasoning behind anything done. Kept pushing off procedures and was constantly contradicting himself.

I had a three level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, I can not believe he is so down to earth and kind in todays date. He explains everything to you and will give you all options, He will even tell you if you want you can wait and watch but with these risks I will recommend not taking the risk. I was so afraid, he talked to my kids who were worried about it before surgery and after surgery. I woke up after surgery and next day went back home. I have no problems. Thanks a lot Dr Francis.

Dr. Francis saved my life 19 years ago - brain tumor surgery. Was told by Dr. Francis how difficult it was - Surgery lasted 12 hours. Was allowed to go home from St. Joseph's Hospital after three days. Life was able to go on after that - I will always remember the name of Dr. Paul Francis, and any other doctor who has seen my before and after MRI's, have told me what a lucky lady I was and still am. Dr. Francis was "the best" and probably still is. Still counting my blessings!

Talked about himself the entire time. As in the WHOLE time. Counseling was horrible. Did not explain my MRI, pathophysiology, course of disease, treatment options, nothing. Shut down every inquiry I had about treatment telling me to live with it. Straight up told me he doesn't like surgery before I said a word. Did not ask any questions or even listen to questions when I spoke up. Worst experience I have ever had from an MD. Felt more confused and frustrated after leaving.
