I cannot emphasize the amount of frustration I’ve had at this MD office. On my initial visit everyone was helpful and it was concluded that I needed an MRI. I have now been waiting 1 week FOR A SIGNATURE and submission for an MRI to my insurance company. I attempted to call the office multiple times informing the staff each time that I was waiting on the results of the MRI to go back to work and I was loosing money every day I was not at work. I have never experienced this much of a lack of urgency and rudeness for the office manager I spoke to explaining my situation. I eventually went to urgent care AND THEY WROTE A REFERRAL FOR ME BEFORE I LEFT THE CLINIC!!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NEVER USE AGAIN! I was referred to Dr. Fenn for a spinal injection. Before going, I looked him up on my insurance. He was listed. I went for the initial visit and gave my insurance information. I verified with them that they took my insurance. I asked if I owed anything and was told that they would file it and let me know. My next visit was for the actual injection at a surgical center. After that, I had a follow-up at his office. Still no charges. A couple of weeks later, I saw the original doctor (the one who referred me) and he suggested another injection. When I tried to schedule it with Fenn, I was told that they could not see me because they didn't take my insurance. After questioning why they saw me in the first place, I was told that they didn't know they didn't take it. I have already met my max out-of-pocket for the year with my insurance so NEVER would have gone to him if I'd have known. I feel like this is not my mistake at all and tried speaking with his staff. I asked to speak to Fenn, but was told he wasn't in. I spoke with his office manager about it numerous times, to no avail. They offered to lower the cost in half, but I don't feel that I should owe anything since it was their mistake in accepting me. I again asked to please speak with Fenn so that I could explain the whole situation. I was told by his office manager that he would not call me. What kind of doctor refuses to speak to his patients? I have been seeing Dr Fenn for a few months now for my knee. He will have to do 2 surgeries on it cause it so messed up. He asked if I am in for the long haul. Yes I am. Have all the confidence in him. No Dr in Rapides Parish will touch me ortho wise again.

Very professional kind staff who has helped me thru the course of having an ankle replacement. I cant express how much confidence I had in Dr Fenn, 12 yrs ago surgery on foot when i couldn’t walk to walking pain free. On Monday 13, due to me falling & breaking my ankle bad, he did an ankle replacement & i will be walking in a boot in 2 weeks. My whole experience from entering the hospital, to surgery was a very professional atmosphere. I am his first ankle replacement patient. It was a great success, and I began a lifetime friendship with Dr. Fenn. First and foremost, I had to trust my Dr. with my foot! At that time, he looked so young, but I didn't let that fool me. That was about 8 years ago. I have had 3 major car accidents in the past, resulting in the loss of a knee cap, pain from a crushed shoulder, etc. I have trusted Dr. Fenn with my life! I've recommended him to many people, and I don't do that with any other doctor!! I live in Alexandria, and it's convenient because he has an office here, and he comes weekly. I have had several surgeries in Lafayette, at the day surgery center. It's the very best organized hospital I've ever been to. There is no orthopedic surgeon in this part of the state that can touch his knowledge, compassion, and performance as a surgeon. I've almost begged him to do another surgery on my ankle and he refuses, because it's not necessary, and he doesn't want to bother the hardware. My point being, he's not knife happy. Would not recommend Dr. Fenn. 3 years after knee replacement surgery, I am still having pain and other problems with swelling as well. Started shortly after surgery, but Dr. Fenn gave no reasons or solutions for problems. I am now going to see another Doctor to have a botched job redone.

Did surgery 12 years ago, on my foot which I couldn’t walk on. I’ve had no problems with it was very pleased with him. I fell broke same foot now doing an ankle replacement, I fully trust him

If you want a doctor that's going to be honest and try his hardest to help you then he's the one to go to. He's trying to fix my old surgeon's mess up and he never lied to me or told me what I wanted to hear. I need truth after 3 surgeries. I'm happy I found him.

DR Paul Fenn Replaced my R ankle went to see him one time after that @ memorial hosp. in lakecharles LA & then he was no longer with that hospital.he never contacted me several weeks later i finally got into contact w/his office & i got a appointment to see him i could not walk he did another surgery to remove a piece of bone that was coming through the skin .after several more visits i had a CT SCAN @ memorial hosp they said my achillies tenant was infected & carried it to him i'm still on crutches & he told me there was nothing else he could do for me. i saw another DR & was scheduled for amputation. i found another surgeon who told me after one xray it had to come out it was installed crooked the teflon implant was rubbing my tenant . he took out the implant now i,m waiting on my achillies tenant to heal w/out a ankle joint @ all so i can get it replaced again so much pain for nothing.

Terrible doctor.

Dr Fenn did rotator cuff surgery on my husband. It was torn in two places. After three weeks he has full range of motion andwill make a complete and almost painless recovery. He explained everything very well and used surgery as a last resort. His office is clean and neat and no wait time to see the doctor. Highly recommended. Great bedside manner. He corrected a failed surgery from one of the local doctors. Wish I went to him first!

He kept suggesting a procedure that had nothing to do with the pain I was experiencing. It wasn't until my fourth visit that he said he finally read my records to see all that had been tried previously. He then suggested a surgery that I was told by another doctor would not work. Needless to say, I didn't trust him enough to allow him to the surgery.
