Dr. Paul S. Aijian

I started going to Dr. Aijian soon after I found out that he won the Santa Barbara Family doctor of the year award. I later learned that he not only won it that year but 6 prior years which is an amazing record. He now treats my entire extended family across a broad age range and now consider him part of our family. He has been a doctor for many years but still keeps up on the latest treatments including early Covid treatments.

Extremely caring and competent doctor. The only problem is he is extremely busy because he is one of the few to actually do early treatment of Covid patients and not just tell them to wait and go to the hospital when they can no longer breath.

Beware. Dr Aijian is NOT vaccinated and does not wear a mask when examining patients. Instead he pushes discredited Ivermectin therapy as a preventive and treatment for Covid. Not only is he misinformed about mRNA based vaccines, calling them "gene therapy," which they are not, he appears to get his medical information from right wing talk radio, with comments about how Dr. Fauci has "blood on his hands." If you value your heath stay away.

He was my doctor for 25 years until I moved away. That says it all.

Negligent. My mother had a heart murmur and never once did Dr Aijian refer her to a cardiologist. He cares for the unborn bit not for the elderly. Collecting Medicare. Shame on him. Don’t trust this man.

If you have a minor cold you may be ok, anything worse of a chronic condition you'd better find another doctor. Also, be prepared to hav a very difficult time getting referred to a specialist, Dr. Aijian will just keep feeding you prescriptions, he doesn't listen to your concerns & he'll act as if he's a specialist rather than send you to one. Unfriendly bedside manners and his staff shows little concern or compassion. His office doesn't return calls in a timely manner either,unorganized,etc. could go on but won't. Best doctor in town, hands down. His ability to figure out what’s wrong is uncanny. He is straightforward, incredibly knowledgeable and gets it done. The office staff is amazing and truly cares. Brandy and Gary are so kind. Excellent doctor with excellent staff.

I really appreciate Dr Aijian. I took my mom to see her a few months ago, as a new patient, and he got her right in and, I believe, saved her life by diagnosing that she was having a stroke and directing us to the ER.

Dr. Aijian is a true physician in the classic traditional meaning. Not only is he knowledgeable in medical practice, but his is also compassionate and caring about his practice. Some, such as me, think it's important to have both in a physician you can trust with your life, health and happiness. Thank you Dr. Paul Aijian. Your sterling reputation is well earned. As an RN who was advised to have Dr. A see my elderly mother 28 years ago, I myself have gone to him since I moved back to SB 4 yrs ago! HE is so like the family doctor I had in my childhood!!! The staff is very caring and I so appreciate ALL of them. Great people!!!

Dr. Aijian has provided amazing personal care, going above and beyond my expectations of helping in early diagnosis and suggestions for ongoing care for a very serious health problem, referring excellent specialists to us. He goes the extra mile to make sure you're okay after your consultation and seems to genuinely care. Office staff is professional and quick to respond. Very satisfied with this doctor.

I AM NEW IN TOWN AND BECAME ILL WITH A COLD AND TERRIBLE COUGH. NO DOCTOR IN TOWN WOULD SEE ME, EVERYONE TOLD ME TO GO TO THE URGENT CARE. I NEEDED A NEW DOCTOR AND WHEN I CALLED DR. AIJIAN'S OFFICE THE NURSE GAVE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE SAME DAY AFTER EXPLAINING MY SYMPTOMS. VERY NICE, CALM AND COMFORTABLE OFFICE WITH WONDERFUL STAFF AND VERY NICE ATTENTIVE DOCTOR. HE TOOK A LOT OF TIME WITH ME AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING VERY WELL. THE NURSE EVEN CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY TO SEE HOW I WAS FEELING

Highly recommend!! Very attentive, caring, he addressed every question and did not rush. The staff was very friendly, and I got a new patient appointment with in 5 weeks everywhere else I called was booking 4-6 months out! Very happy with my choice!

Dr Aijian was referred to me from a longtime family friend. After calling and it took four weeks to schedule an appointment and once I got in to speak with the doctor he was very dismissive of the concerns I was having with my health so he suggested i get bloodwork. The office forgot two separate times to send the referral for blood work so I had to call the office for the third time and then they finally sent the referral. The office personal were very forgetful. They never sent my Rx!

I've never met a doctor who was so condescending and rude before. If I could give a negative star I would. I left his office in tears and will be taking this higher up to the board. Never seen such disrespect in my life. Will never come back.

Dr. Aijian is a joy to see, he is busy but that is because spends great quality time with each of his patients making sure they are thoroughly taken care of. He gives each one of his patients the one on one time that they truly deserve. He also has an amazingly sweet staff that helps make the office a warm welcoming place!

I been a patient for 3 yrs and the staff is amazing. Dr. Aijian is very caring and always making sure I get my referrals on time for my RA . I call for my prescription for pick up and its always there for me. Thank you! I would highly recommend Dr. Aijian.

Very aloof attitude. I had some lab work with really concerning results to which the doctor failed to contact me to discuss a plan. Office is terrible at sending referrals to the lab; I had to go 3 times to the lab (and call the office twice) until they finally sent the request. For the second time yesterday I stayed in line at the pharmacy to learn that they hadn't sent the prescription. Absolutely appalling follow-up from that part of a doctor.

Dr. Aijian is an intelligent, well informed, and thorough doctor. He is a bit old school in only the most positive way, in that he actually takes time with his patients to ask questions, give suggestions, and thoroughly describe his prognosis - a breath of fresh air in this day where most doctors schedule only 3 min per patient. Great primary care doctor who I trust makes wise decisions regarding my health. He's a little quirky, but nice and knowledgeable.
