Dr. Parrino, and all the staff in his office were extremely professional. They took time to answer any questions I had regarding the surgery I was having, and the recovery time I would need after surgery. I know that I received excellent medical care while a patient of Dr. Parrino’s.

Excellent cardio thoracic surgeon. We are fortunate he practices in New Orleans. Truly a life saver.

Great team of health care givers. It was hard on me because I was never really sick and had no major surgeries in my 69 years. The doctors and nurses were very helpful in my recovery of a double bypass and one cleanup surgery.

Great surgery

I came all the way from Jennings and my ride got us their an hour early and they still seen me right away I was on the way home when my appointment time rolled around

Dr. Parrino gave my husband and me an understandable and excellent explanation of Open Heart Surgery as compared with the TAVR or TAVI procedure. He was friendly, professional and very skilled in his area of expertise: Cardiology. Dr. Parrino made my husband and me feel very comfortable with either procedure. He gave us all of the pros and cons of each type of surgery and told us that I would be a good candidate for either surgery; ultimately it is my choice. I am so impressed with Dr. Parrino that I scheduled my surgery on a day where he is available to assist my heart surgeon, Dr. Tafur. Having these two brilliant cardiologists I feel that Ochsner has afforded me two of the very best doctors for my upcoming surgery! I am blessed! I would not recommend Dr Parrino for many reasons. Most importantly he is very dishonest and he will not stand by his Patients that do not have a good outcomes after surgery. Do not expect to see him if things go bad. You and your family will be waiting a long time in ICU, waiting for him to grace you with his presence. Please read other reviews and do not just settle for Ochsner Hospital. Ochsner has a very dysfunctional ICU and just does not do well with critical care. There is nobody in charge of the Patient. They continue to be accused over and over of the same terrible care. I would recommend seeing a different doctor and going to Tulane Hospital ..or out of state for complex cardiac surgery. I strongly recommend not seeing Dr Parrino or having ANY cardiac surgery at Ochsner Hospital. You are not safe in this ICU!!! Please do not make the same mistake my family did, we have a lot of regrets and wish we had made a better decisions.

He's an amazing surgeon. He did both of my mothers heart surgery, replacing all her valves. He explained everything we needed to know, was very attentive, cared about her well being after her surgery. And his staff are amazing people!

Dr. Perrino repaired my moms valve. I cannot thank him enough for having such a vast amount of experience and of course his steady hands. He truly knows how to put his clients at ease prior to the procedure. He even goes above and beyond after the procedure to explain in layman’s terms everything performed during the procedure and answer any and all questions. My mom is currently still in recovery but Dr Perrino has helped us get over the most difficult part! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I highly recommend anyone needing to see a cardio surgeon go see Dr. Perrino. He is truly a man of his craft which is saving lives by fixing our loved ones’ hearts! God bless you, doc!
