Staff unorganized. Dr. sometimes rude. After waiting 30-45 minutes Dr. spends 5 minutes with you.

Dr.Pankaj Satija is very understanding, patient, knowledgeable of pain, and offers a number of different approaches to solving or reducing the level of pain. I highly recommend his services.

I have had a few different Doctors since having lower lumbar pain and my history with spine surgery. Dr.Pankaj Satija is a blessing. He always makes me feel important and like I matter. His compassion and bedside manner is amazing! His staff is just as great. Dealing with chronic pain is a task as it is but having a Dr who listens and cares make a huge difference. Loved this doc and the office at first. Now it’s a mess and you have no choice in which doctor you will see, even if you specifically request one that is supposed to be your doctor. Support staff changes constantly. Was one of my favorite doctors but since I never see him ever though my doc referred me to him specifically. I never know who is coming in or if they are new. I’m so sorry to have to change.

Zero stars. Very unprofessional, Dr. Satija yells and got angry when I rightfully questioned him about a medication. I told him we were done and got up to leave, he followed me and yelled down the hall calling me an addict for everyone in the waiting room to hear, an addict that I, decidedly, am not. Dr. Santija is awesome! I've suffered from back, neck and leg pain from scoliosis surgery I had over 35 years ago. Past drs have only wrote me scripts. Dr. Santija has ordered tests and explained where my pain is coming from. I am so excited to finally get the treatment I've been looking for. My outlook and expectations for the future are finally looking positive. Thank you Dr. Santija! 4/19/22 update i am still seeing Dr Satija and he has helped me tremendously. Rooms are filthy - garbage overflowing on the floor. Belittles you. Tells you constantly how he is the best pain management doctor there is. Pharmacy cannot get a hold of him. Phones lines are down for months at a time. Has no concept of CRPS and treatment. You just look at the amount of people crammed in the office and they aren’t feeling “like they’ve never had pain before thanks to my procedure”. I’ve been to some bad pain management doctors around the U.S. Dr. Satija is one of the worst. Read the other negative reviews - they are not exagerating.

Absolutely stay away. He yells at patients and is reckless. He appears to have anger issues, anxiety, and is in too much of a hurry. I wish I’d never met the man.

These doctors are useless and they just want your money, please trust me and go somewhere else, many other options. Absolutely, without a doubt, Dr. Satija has to be one of the best Pain Doctors in AMERICA! His "PATIENT FIRST" approach, coupled with his EXCELLENT bedside manner are just a couple of the many reasons I feel he's so great!

Pankaj SatijaM.D. & his wife Monika Ummat M.D. have treated me for both Migraine HA & Pain Management since 2015. Both are great listeners, educate you on how to improve your quality of life, but most importantly take time to answer questions, including the dumb ones. Both have taken the time to speak with my other doctors about conflicting medications & treatments. No one is perfect & there have been times when Dr Satija seems to run around with his hair on ???? However, over a 5 year period I can count the number of times on one hand & he has never compromised patient care. I've recently moved to FL & plan on using Telemed appointments interspersed with in-office as much as possible. While I'm only 65 years young, I will say hands down, especially as a duo, they are the best doctors I've ever seen. I trust him with my whole being. He is highly educated and knowledgeable as well as compassionate to my needs as a chronic pain patient. I would recommend him and his staff at the Pain and Headache Centers of Texas. I have been a patient there for 7 years and will continue to stay under his umbrella of care.

Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner!

Went to have procedure in 10/2020 Because I went to multiple options because I’m dealing with a chronic pain condition and have been misdiagnosed multiple times he became offensive and somewhat argumentative frustrated and wouldn’t listen to what I had to say. It appears he’s somewhat egotistical and he didn’t understand why someone would go for a 2nd opinion and kept saying he spent 1 1/2 hour with me.

Unorganized, bad time-management, and not enough staff. I had a “complete waste of time” interview last Friday which started 40 minutes late, and then I get told that I don’t meet all of the requirements for that specific position. If I did not meet all of the necessary requirements, then why did they invite me in for an interview???? ????

He is the first physician I've gone to that actually treats the cause of my migraines, back pain, etc. instead of just handing out medications. Dr Satija listens to you and is very compassionate and knowledgable.

My wife went there. The staff were not responsive and rude. My wife waited 2 hours to see doctor. They don't value other's time. Worse time management. My wife will not go there in future. Saved my life

This place is very good, I really appreciate Dr. Satijas work, and taking the time to actually listen and show empathy, him and his staff I give 5+ stars, Angel in front desk is great, very professional, Mariah is the sweetest and is nice enough to get things done for you, Vanessa is amazing very professional and smart. Other than that there is another Dr. who works here, I’m not sure of her name but she gets zero stars from me, she is very rude, talks to the staff as if they are ignorant, and doesn’t know how to do her job, she tried to come in and see me as a patient but no thanks I’d rather stick with Dr. Satija. I have been having neck and back pain for over ten years. Of course it had been gradually getting worse. I moved to Houston six years ago and after starting to work for Methodist my primary doctor finally referred me to Dr. Satija. I asked what kind of doctor is he and she said Pain Management. I didn’t understand exactly what that meant. I felt uneasy about going to the first appointment and there were a lot of patients there. That appointment was over two years ago and he has treated my neck, shoulder, right upper arm, low back and hips. I don’t know where I would be today if it were not for Dr. Satija. He listens to everything you have to say and he is so kind. He has had to move due to Harvey and had staff changes but I must say sometimes changes are needed at times. I have waited before for a long while and I am not a very patient person but I remember lying on the table getting my treatment and how he treats me and doesn’t rush. So I’m patient because he truly cares about his patients. He is an outstanding doctor and totally worth the wait. I've been a patient with Dr. Satija for the last two years. I can truly say, he is a great doctor! He's fair and his goal for me is to find other alternatives to manage pain besides depending on stronger medicine. I'm thankful for this doctor and his staff! I would definitely recommend him!

This Dr. is the best pain and headache doctor in town. I am so impressed with his knowledge, compassion and communication. With his care, I have no neck pain and headaches today after suffering for many years.

I read the comments and have to think the positive ones must be written by friends , family and staff of the doctor. The ones I believe are the reviews that say, stay away, bad experience, unhappy and overpriced to almost being unethical in what he charges for services. All I can say is the office staff is totally incompetent and inconsiderate. Almost the caliber of a fast food chain. They make the experience a one star in itself. I looked for a Dr for 17 years to help me with chronic pain. This man saved and changed my life. I can say he has the best bed side manners of anyone before. Very bad experience I went to him for back problems and he proceeded to give me an injection without a MRI . I later found out u needed one to have a steroid injection. I felt like I was being electrocuted . Very bad experience

Dr. Santija has been very helpful in helping me manage my pain without narcotics. I am allergic to most narcotics. He sent me a compounded cream that is very effective. I don't like taking pain pills and the way they make me feel. I would recommend him to anyone in pain.

I have been living with back pain for years and had seen many top doctors in Houston. My orthopedist friend recommended him and he told me he is very well trained , and board certified in neurology and pain management. He did a thorough examination, did social lifestyle evaluation, started with conservative care and ordered some MRI scans.He picked up on the problem that no other doctor could , discussed options with benefits & why one would be better than other . He is a very good human , which is needed to be a good doctor these days.He gave me cortizone shots and then after few months , did a procedure on my back . His surgical skills are excellent , and he spends lot of time on patient education. I called my spine surgeon friend and he told me all his patients he refers have great outcome. I think he is the best pain doctor out there. I think honest , good , patient centric doctors like him are hard to find these days. Staff changes constantly. 1 to 2 hour wait for an appointment. Competent Dr but the office is chaos. Does not use a portal; constantly double books appointments.

I came to Dr.Satija after going from doctor to doctor with no improvement what so ever. I have seen dr. Satija for over 6 months now and I am finally able to get some quality of life back. His staff is caring and attend to my needs. The wait time is a lengthy but definitely worth the dedication Dr. satija provides, I highly recommend him.

A complete flake. The entire experience in my 6 months with him was a joke by medical standards. Wait times 1-3 HOURS (you read that right). Staff is rude and inconsiderate. Just kept putting me on different medications at each visit. Nobody EVER answered phone calls or emails when I was having allergic reactions to his scripts. Was double booked at every appointment made. Pill mill operation is my overall thoughts in this practice.

I have never seen a pain management doctor so I wasn't sure what to expect. The first thing I noticed is the no frills building leading to his office on the third floor. The wait was average with two TV's mounted on the walls turned off and random magazines . I noticed the lack of medical equipment compared to my other doctors and a broken bathroom scale in the hall. First impression? If Dr. Satija doesn't care about spending money on professional medical testing equipment for his office, how much will he invest in my patient care? I found there to be a language barrier of understanding in the way of every conversation. He speaks English clearly but...there is something wrong with his understanding. I always felt the need to rephrase my questions to finally get my point across. He quickly gets frustrated especially if you ever question him about treatment. You will need to be passive and completely yield your life to him for a complete evaluation and treatment. If you really want a say in your treatment go somewhere else. I am no longer a patient of Dr. Satija and I would never recommend anyone unless you want the burden of your pain secondary to the frustration of being misunderstood. I truly believe that my experience with Dr. Satija was a direct result of his cultural differences. I have been with Dr. Satija for a few years now. What I appreciate most about him is his truthfulness. Some doctors tell you what they THINK you want to hear rather than what you need to hear. Yet, you know he earnestly cares about helping finding relief for your pain.

Dr. Satija's office is excellent. Professional, friendly, and compassionate staff. There has been a significant change for the better in his office. I can't say enough of Dr. Satija's care for my pain. When I first came to him, I was depressed with nothing to look forward in life. After months of injections and therapy, I can say that I am able to live my life with little to no pain. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to find pain relief.

Dr. Satija is great, I have seen him for the past three months and he has been compassionate and genuine for my care. His staff, Karen, Melissa, Amaan, and Karla are all great. They will do whatever they can to take care of you. I recommend him to anyone.

Bed side manors are awful. He is rude and he yells at you. Made me feel very uncomfortable. I asked him about the med he was giving me and he got mad. Never in life had i had a Doctor jump up and. up and just say. I want need to see you again. Then talk about me with his door open to a Fellow Dr.. IF you can get in the service is ok. The office staff is terrible and fairly rude. Dr. Satija is great, but he will only see you if he thinks you are interesting - otherwise you are seeing his PA - who is ok, but doesn't keep track of details well. If you have something that is rare or exciting, he's great. For normal pain maintenance, you are probably better off seeing someone else.

Poor communication. Office staff is a joke. Dr satija answered a call on his cell phone during my examination and his staff interrupted several times. I saw him twice and both experiences were terrible.

Had a bad vibe about this place from the minute I walked in. Dr. Satija was very disengaged and showed no interest in my pain. He wrote a prescription for Hydrocodone and that was it. I did not want to be on 2 controlled substances (Hydrocodone plus a muscle relaxer), so I told him I would like to phase out in taking the muscle relaxer. That was a huge mistake and he should have known enough to tell me that. I went back one more time and met with his nurse practitioner. She was even worse.

Dr. Satija listens to his patients & Peggy as well (Nurse Practitioner), he takes his career very serious and the just goes to show what a wonderful doctor he is! I would like to start up with your again, my entire body hurts to the touch. I currently have extreme pain under my sternum that radiates to the right side of my back. I'm loosing my appetite.
