Too bad there’s not a minus rating. Got to his Bluffton office on time only to find they’d moved and informed nobody! Found location awful appointment no listening etc etc. Worst worst worst front office I’ve ever dealt with! Cannot expect return call. I’m leaving the practice!

I have been calling the office and leaving messages for my script refill. Noone called the pharmacy and 10 days later after multiple messages left I still DO NOT have the refill called in. I have been without my meds for 10 days and they do not care.

Had to wait 20 minutes because he was spending time with patients, did not rush us Prefer to wait a few minutes, and not be rushed or feel like we are time constrained. Not sure why any negative comments, staff was friendly, attentive to our visit.

Doctor Sergev is an excellent endocrinologist. In the 53 years since my thyroid gland was removed , he is the best doctor I have had. His staff is also excellent. All are kind and caring people.. Dr Sergev,himself, is kind and caring as well as extremely knowledgeable in caring for a patient with no thyroid gland.

Staff is awful I called about my lab work Receptionist tell me that they receive over hundreds of faxes a day it would be impossible to know if they have mine after they told me that they didn’t receive it and my doctor resent it. They don’t call You call back when you leave a message. Your prescription never gets sent to the pharmacy you have to keep calling them. Worst experience ever!!!! The absolute worst doctors office I’ve ever dealt with. Nurse never EVER returns calls. Refused to help me even after bloodwork showed pituitary issues. Couldn’t get medical records for my brain surgeon for weeks and they only sent partial. Refused to run specific labs for my brain surgeon and then never called with my results that were all high. No one called. No one calls back. I was told to do yoga. Biggest joke of an office. The absolute worst doctors office I’ve ever dealt with. Nurse never EVER returns calls. I would NEVER recommend this doctor! First of all he would not listen to me, he got up and headed out of the room and I had to say "No you need to explain this to me" , after he said I may have nodules on my thyroid. I told him my symptoms, which he ignored and said " everyone has nodules and they do not cause that. He said he would do some test but he would see me in three months, he never acknowledged anything I said about the symptoms I was having. I went home and researched it and I had text book symptoms of thyroid cancer. He did do a ultrasound and found three nodules and biopsys them, one was cancerous. I went to an oncologist and I had three cancerous tumors, one which had grown into the soft tissue and 9 cancerous lymph nodes, I am just thankful that one of the ones he biopsies was cancer or I would have never have known about everything else and it could have gotten a lot worse. I was able to determine it was cancer just doing a google search, he would not listen to me long enough to determine that himself... each time I would try to tell him what I was experiencing he just kept telling me " Nodules do not cause that"... he is an endocrinologist, he should know the symptoms of thyroid cancer. Also I had a very hard time getting my records from his office, my first appointment with the oncologist had to be rescheduled because his office kept saying their fax machine was broken....please do not go to this man! I have been a patient here for a couple of years now. I have been trying to call for a week and every single time “Billing is not available” to take my call and “they will call back” by the end of the day. I am extremely busy and DO NOT HAVE TIME to call every single day in hopes that you guys will answer my call so that I can SIMPLY PAY MY BILL. I have had so many issues with the unprofessional staff at this facility it’s actually unbelievable. The front desk, medical assistants, and Dr. Sergev himself. After I pay my bill, I will be switching doctors. I get blood drawn every time I visit, and never get a call back about my results. It wasn’t until my mother and I came into the facility and asked for them….their response? “We don’t have any blood result records” WHAT??? Where is my blood going? They had no credible answer. I also asked Dr. Sergev “Why is my weight fluctuating so much”? He said “Oh maybe we need to decrease your dosage” Well the problem is I had been asking him to decrease it every time I visit and he claimed I did not need to decrease it but didn't have the blood work to prove it. He finally decreased it after he realized my hormone levels had switched from too high to too low. He doesn’t provide any answers or education on your diagnosis. He comes in for 1-2 minutes, tells you to stay on whatever meds you're already taking, then leaves unless you bring up a concern! You basically have to do your own research and bring it to his attention for him to do anything. Their medical staff runs around like chickens with their heads cut off. Expect to be called back 30 mins after your scheduled time then get 1-2 mins with the doctor. Also - there was one time I took off work for my appointment and there were several patients and I waiting outside of the office. After about 20 minutes of calling, they said they finally picked up and said they were “closed for the day”. Why would they schedule all of us that day if they were closed??? Very considerate of their patients that take off work to make their appointments. It was not even a holiday. I can say so many things about this facility that sucks. His MA is super unprofessional and rude over the phone, she actually brought me to tears and called back to apologize for upsetting me. UNPROFESSIONAL AND WILL STRESS YOU OUT. I believe I have met the friendliest staff ever! They were so kind and professional. I went to the wrong office, yet they still accommodated me and I was treated so nicely. I decided to keep going to that location even though it was out of my way, just because of the staff.

There is no doctor more knowledge about how the body systems work than Dr. Sergev! We are grateful to have found him. Excellent staff, nice office, worth the drive.

Had my first appointment and the Dr and PA were very patient and understanding and the Dr actually explained the different thyroid meds. Looking forward to returning in 2 weeks ro review labs and adjust meds.

When I started having some issues I went to see another doctor in Summerville. The doctor quite honestly was good but the system he worked under was horrible. Could not get return phone calls, prescriptions filled and so on. I recently moved to Dr. Sergev and have been extremely happy with his expertise and the time that he takes with you explaining things. Being a doctor it's more than just going to school. You must care about the patient as a person and listen. Find out what they have to say and take care of their needs. Be very careful of this Dr. I had cancer the whole time I saw him, finally I got a second opinion and was in surgery immediately to remove what Dr. Sergev ignored. He told me it was normal to have lymph nodes and when the matastsizedhe also said that was normal.!!!!! It’s Not he is very flip about anything serious, I complained and complained but he ignored all my symptoms and my complaints. I have video proof of his incompetence. Save yourself get a second opinion or go to a MUSC....

My Mom has been trying to reach these people for weeks for her thyroid medication that she needs desperately. They ignore her.

I initially received my diagnosis of a tumor in my thyroid from my primary care physician who sent me for an ultrasound and biopsy at their facility. I was referred to a different endocronologist for follow up. Due to the fact that i could not get an appointment with that dr, I called and made an appointment with Dr Sergev and got an appointment within 2 months. I went to see him in March 2017. Before my appointment, they needed my records. I personally got them from my primary dr and took them to his office. When I had my appt, I was told that they did not have my pathology report. I went to my primary physician, got the report and took it to them the same day. I was again told by their office they did not have it. They did and I told them that I personally brought them in. I was examined and told to come back in 6 months and he would do an ultrasound in his office. I went back in 6 months, i was told that they did not have my pathology report! Again, i went to my primary, got my records and took them to them. I had 3 appts with Dr Sergev. One I had bloodwork with Katherine, went back to see her. And that is when I was told that they didnt have my report. Went back a third time for what I thought was my ultrasound. They couldnt find my freaking file! Finally, they found it under a nurses desk. So, I had my ultrasound and got home from my 4:00 appt at 7pm. So then he referred me to a surgeon. Then i was told my B12 was low. So i got a B12 shot and paid 10.00. They were running a special that you could get 4 shots for 30.00. The next week, i paid 30.00, scheduled a shot for the next 2 weeks and my 4th in one month. I went back for my last shot. I was called to the front desk and was told that i owed 56.00. Ok, so this was probably for my bloodwork that the insurance did not pay. I said i wanted to see a breakdown because i hadnt received a bill for this. I also saw 2.00 for B12????? So, by this time I am getting angry. I was only there for a shot. Dont make this visit cost me an hour of my time, again!!! Then she starts looking to see if I had paid for my 4 shots and called the nurse to look through my file. So I said, "Are you saying that i may not have paid for this shot?" And I was told that she was looking through my file to see if I had paid for it. So, I told her ," Forget the shot. This is THE worse place that I have ever been. Keep the shot. Worse place I have ever been." And I stormed out, angrier than a wet hen. I went home, looked at my bank info and saw where I had paid for the 4 shots on October 5th. Recap... Like i told the girl at the front desk, this is the worse place that I have ever been. The doctor was nice and knowledgeable. However, his office staff is highly incompetent. The information above does not even begin to show the frustration that I had to go through with this staff. From them not having my reports ( when I personally brought them to them), to losing the file, to putting me in a room and forgetting about me, to having to spend 30 minutes or more to get a shot that I had to make an appointment for, to insinuating that I did not pay for the 4th shot, I had had it. Bottom line, I will be making an appointment with another endocrinologist for future appointments. It will be my pleasure to call and get my file sent to another doctor, if they can find it. Excellent doctor

I think he saved my life !! Spent more time with me than any other except my urologist, Dr Kelly Shaffer and they are in a dead tie ! Dr Sergev accurately diagnosed me and literally helped me turn my life around. My sister had been on thyroid medication for decades but her doctors could never seem to get it right. She went to Dr Sergev and after labs and follow up visit/s corrected her medication and now she is like a new woman! I have recommended him to at least 2 dozen people since I started going to him. I have been a patient of Dr. Sergev's for several years. I've always found him to be encouraging, forthright, and interested in my concerns. He is treating me for a thyroid condition and also helping me address metabolic issues to prevent development of diabetes. I've had prompt responses to my questions and need for scheduling appointments from the office staff. I've always been treated with courtesy and dignity. Yes, there have been times when there has been a bit of a wait; however, I consider it worthwhile because I know that the time needed to address my questions and concerns will be given me. I've referred a number of people to him. I've heard good things about Katherine from other people but haven't had the pleasure of meeting her or dealing with her. I transferred to Dr. Sergev from another endocrinologist whose office nurse was officious and supercilious while the doctor made me feel superfluous. Quite knowledgeable and a great MD. Very friendly and able to explain things without needing a Thesaurus :) Was able to quickly diagnose me after I wasted months seeing other doctors. His staff and receptionists are very knowledgeable and so very friendly that I almost look forward to having an appointment!

Outstanding and knowledgeable Doctor and nurse Practitioner!!!!!

They don't return telephone calls of existing patients. I called last week and still haven't heard from them and still can't get a hold of them. They wrote a prescription for me and the pharmacy can't get a hold of them. I am now out of medication with no resolution. The staff either doesn't care or they are incompetent.

Dr. Sergev literally gave me back my life! I find him to be extremely knowledgeable, personable, professional, warm, and caring. After being treated incorrectly for Type 2 diabetes for years by other doctors (and the Mayo Clinic), Dr. Sergev correctly diagnosed me with Type 1, and I've regained my health. I only gave four stars due to having difficulty getting calls returned from staff members. Dr. Sergev literally gave me back my life! Absolutely love this doctor ! Warm and very knowledgeable, very short wait time and nice staff.

After seeing over 20 doctors, specialists, and endocrinologists in the past 5 years I had lost hope. My blood sugar dropped dramatically every 2 hours leaving me exhausted, disoriented, and nauseas. I was tired of the roller coaster and constant supply of snacks in case of emergency (which was daily). Dr. Sergev diagnosed me in 10 minutes after viewing previous labs. I was sure he was mistaken but took his advice immediately to prove him wrong. It's been 3 months of the best health I've ever had. No more blood sugar drops followed by extreme hunger, etc, etc. This has affected me all my life and I feel I have been let out of prison with NO medication and very minor adjustments. Horrible!! Unprofessional office and staff. Dr. Sergev is not personable at all and incorrectly diagnosed my child. Did not perform tests that were requested by my referring doctor.
