Olivera Bogunovic-Sotelo is an amazingly caring psychiatrist and human being. Anyone would be lucky to be under her care.

Constantly cancels appointments and could care less. How did she even get this position? I am dumbfounded how someone so negligent and so dismissive could stay in a position like this.

Not recommended. Is not invested in patient care at all . I am so disappointed. I hope other patient don't have to go through what I went through.

Constantly cancels visits and makes excuses not to see patients ( every week). If you don't want to see patients , then please, for the love of god, just say so. You owe it to your patients ( the common decency to be honest with them. This very disheartening.

Worst psychiatrist I’ve ever dealt with and her fellow wasn’t much better. Just a horrible personality for a person dealing with people talking about their problems, anxieties etc. She’s just so lacking in terms of people skills, compassion and empathy it’s unreal. I assume she went into medicine to have an air of superiority about herself. Total narcissist in my opinion. Didn’t feel safe talking to her. Didn’t trust her ‘order’ about doing inpatient care at her facility because she’s the kind of doctor that probably barely makes eye contact with you. I had to do sessions by phone due to Covid but my goodness I’ve never encountered someone so cold and so lacking in compassion and understanding. My advice is to STAY AWAY.

If you recall as a child the fear you felt when you might get into trouble with a really mean teacher then you can get some idea how you will feel as an adult dealing with this woman. NO empathy. NO compassion. NO personality. She simply does not care, she will speak over you, frustrate you, accuse you of things, try to force you into inpatient treatment you know will not work cause you’ve tried it before. She basically has NO people skills and comes across as rude and I different. She increased my anxiety a LOT. I would recommend you look elsewhere for help. It’s not worth having your mind warped by this one.

Very insightful. Her tell it like it is approach is very effective in our situation.

No compassion shown to patients whatsoever. Does not appear knowledgeable at all. Stay away from this physician at any cost - she will do more harm than good.
