Phlebology is the medical discipline that involves the diagnosis and treatment of venous disorders, including spider veins, varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, venous leg ulcers, congenital venous abnormalities, venous thromboembolism and other disorders of venous origin. A phlebologist has attained a minimum of 50 hours of CME units in phlebology-related courses, and is knowledgeable of and trained in a variety of diagnostic techniques including physical examination, venous imaging techniques such as duplex ultrasound, CT and MR, plethysmographic techniques and laboratory evaluation related to venous thromboembolism. The phlebologist is also trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions, which may include compression, sclerotherapy, cutaneous vascular laser, endovenous thermoablation procedures (laser and radiofrequency) endovenous chemical ablation, surgical procedures (e.g., ambulatory phlebectomy, venous ligation), vasoactive medications and the management of venous thromboembolism.

Dr. Smith and her staff are very caring and knowledgeable, she was the first to start treating varicose veins in this area using endovenous laser ablation, along with spider veins injections and ultrasound guided injections, I don't believe there is anyone in this area that comes close to her knowledge and talent in treating venous disease.

I would recommend Dr.Bassinger, she is the best in the business. I have been to other vein specialist an didn't have good experiences. I would give her 10 stars if i could. Staff is very professional. You wont be disappointed, i have sent alot of family an friends there. They hd great results Am have gone back

I was seen in Dr. Basingers office for a consult. I filled out paperwork, they collected my $100.00 dollars, and I was taken back by her nurse. Dr Basinger came in and looked at me and told me my insurance wouldn’t cover it, and she wouldnt accept me as a patient. Talk about shocked, little did she know that I was going to pay for her services out of my pocket. I have since seen treated by another clinic. I would not refer Dr. Basinger to anyone.
