I have had a bullet in my head since the age of 13 due to that I started having epilepsy problems every doctor in the past was to scare to take that risk He was able to remove the Bulle that I had over 28 years And remove the part of the seizures I didn’t have faith he did he knew everything was going to be OK he believed it And he showed it words gifts nothing can pay him for giving me my life back Me and my family thank you from the bottom of my heart Thank you for giving me my Life back

Dr. Tandon did an excellent job of taking care of our daughter.

New to epilepsy and the anxiety that comes with it, Dr. Tandon and his staff were completely compassionate and eager to help me find the answers that I was looking for for healing. As soon as we step into that waiting room with Ms. Cynthia greeting us with her big smile to actually meeting Dr. Tandon I knew this was the perfect place for us, I say us because my husband was just as nervous as I was. We were quickly greeted by Ms. Jessica and her hugs made us feel like we were long lost friends, Dr. Carlos also with the same attitude calm my nerves and I quickly realized how much they cared...Well What can I say about Dr. Tandon, I LOVE HIM!!! looked me straight in the eye and gave me HOPE, that we would come to a solution about my situation...not only will I recommend him I will be his walking bill board and continue to show my strength to others with GOD and his staff behind me I feel BLESSED that Dr. Tandon does what he does... Dr. Tandon is an outstanding surgeon who has delivered outstanding results for our son over two brain surgeries for epilepsy. He is competent and compassionate and is very easy going and approachable. While Dr Tandon is a great surgeon, he is supported by a great team, specifically Jessica Johnson. Our research turned up Dr Tandon as an ideal resource for our son’s surgery, and travel from Cooperstown, NY to Houston creates logistical challenges for our visits, and Jessica does a terrific effort in not only scheduling surgeries, she tirelessly works to schedule MRIs, EEGs, etc and numerous other doctor appointments within a tight timeframe. Dr Tandon and Jessica are great in scheduling follow up visits and are always available to readily field emails. We couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon and team.

For my ability to still move he only did his job as half way so it didn't take i had second surgery & im seizure free from the bad seizures thanks. He saved my life! Every neurologist in my hometown (literally went to EVERY one we had here) told me that it was incurable. In a matter of 1 month, he found the issue, got my surgery set up, and healed me! Went from almost 4 partial complex seizures a day to NONE! Always thankful, words could never express. WOW! Just the thought of Neurosurgery is scary for most of us. My wife had a 2 1/2 year battle with horribly-excruciating and continual pain attached to her Trigeminal Neuralgia. We finally found Dr. Tandon and his staff to stop all my wife's nerve pain. Surgery was 100% effective from the moment my wife woke up in recovery. It's now 2 weeks later and no pain! Rightfully so, there is MUCH to do, gather and discuss prior to neurosurgery. Two of Dr. Tandon's Angels, Jessica and Adriana, made my and my wife's lives MUCH calmer, quieter and less apprehensive during the whole pre and post-surgery process. God Bless those two angels.

I seen Dr. Tandon starting back in 2016 upon my neurologists' recommendation for neurosurgery to help treat and possibly cure my epilepsy I've had for over 30 years. I went through all the tests including EEG and MRI, and actually turned out to be an excellent candidate for the sterotactic laser ablation procedure. I had the procedure, which was minimally invasive, and was out of work for a total of four weeks (would've been less if not for my high physically demanding job), but I easily understood. Other neurosurgeons in Houston and East Texas were wanting to do a full left temporal lobectomy, which I vehemently denied due to the potential devastating side effects. My wife even talked to other general neurosurgeons she works with at other large Houston hospitals, and he came highly recommended. I've now been seizure free for over three months and would highly recommend him to anyone considering neurosurgery for epilepsy. I highly recommend Dr. Tandon and his staff for outstanding service throughout the entire process. They let me know my options and worked very diligently with my insurance to make sure I got the needed care. His team did an outstanding job keeping me up to date on each step in the process.

There are not enough words to express our gratitude for Dr. Tandon, Jessica (Nurse Practitioner), and the entire team. Everyone. Our world hit "pause" close to a year ago when our 18 year old daughter began having seizures, and after meeting with several doctors, we were referred to Dr. Tandon. Months and months of sleepless nights and lots of tears, we were desperate for help. Jessica was the first person we met with, and I can't say enough how full of hope we became. The balance of professionalism and demonstration of humanity was incredibly disarming. We walked into the office nervous and apprehensive, and left feeling extremely encouraged. The surgery lasted quite a few hours, and she was even awake for a good portion of it. Not one secondary issue! Other than a scar, that is almost completely hidden already from her hair growing back, you would never know she had surgery! There is not a surgeon or team I could possibly recommend more than I can Dr. Tandon and this team.

Then he proceeded to recommend he could return to work 2 months later and refuses to acknowledge he botched this surgery. My dad is still paralyzed and non communicative. Never would I have imagined being able to type this; but I am seizure free! This man saved my life, after every neurologist I had seen for the last 5 years told me I would seize for the rest of my life. It has been 6 months without a seizure, and I used to have up to 6 a day; I dealt with Partial Complex Epilepsy in my Left Temporal Lobe- a very intricate style of epilepsy. Due to this, all of the neurologists in my city told me it was too intricate, and just gave me pill after pill after pill! I grew up in a very organic family, so doctor visits weren't very often, and the only medication I had ever seen as a child was an organic gummy- medications were horrifying to me. In a matter on 3 months, I saw him, he told me exactly what was going on, got me apart of a Laser Ablation Study, and cured me with his amazing talent. I live a whole state over and still received the best care I could ever ask for. After 5 years of dealing with my illness Dr. Tandon and his amazing team gave me hope of a better life and delivered. He gave me my life back! Definitely worth the 6 hour commute.

My wife was initially seen by Dr. Tandon almost three years ago. He saw her for what was initially thought to be a brain tumor. He performed surgery on her to take a sample of the brain. Thank God it turned out to be an infection and not cancer. After this diagnosis he referred us to an infectious disease doctor but continued to see my wife regularly to monitor her care. He did not have to do this since she did not need further surgery. He did this because he deeply cares for his patients and knows how confusing the medical system can be. I can't say enough about Dr. Tandon and what a blessing he has been to my family. In closing, one final thought... If you are reading this you are trying to decide whether to see this doctor. You may see a negative comment here or there. Just remember, people will always post comments when they have unrealistic expectations or don't get the outcome that they wanted. After battling epilepsy for over 20 years, I was brought in for testing in 2017 which showed that I was a candidate for the surgical procedure. Thanks to Dr. Tandon, Jessica along with his phenomenal team I have been seizure free for over 3 years. I continue to recommend him to those that are dealing with similar issues.

Dr. Tandon is my hero. I had a malformation on the left temporal lobe in the brain that caused me to have mild seizures for many years. Even taking high doses of anti-seizure meds. didn't work. Even before I was pre-authorized with my insurance, he told me to check into Memorial Hermann Med Center Monday morning where he was to perform the surgery needed to remove the cyst. I've been seeing Dr. Tandon for about 3 years. He did all 4 of my surgeries. He's very thorough, caring, and patient. I couldn't have asked for better help in fulfilling a seizure free life. From beginning to end it was a tough process, but in the end, so worth it! I've been seizure free for 8 months! I owe my life to this man.

Dr Tandon has performed 2 (so far) surgeries on our son to reduce seizures that were not controllable with Rx or VNS. As a parent himself he was able to understand my fears and anxiety thus very patiently and clear explained details to me. His staff is bar none with Jessica (his MA) keeping us informed and up to date. I have recommended him to someone else who has retractable epilepsy.

Dr Nitin Tandon performed a craniotomy on our 21 yr old son to remove a brain tumor deep in the basal ganglia. While on this last visit we had to wait awhile in the treatment room the staff was consequently checking on us and explaining that Dr. Tandon was involved at the hospital and would be with us as soon as possible. Since we appreciate his skill , we understood and did not mind the wait. We were there to hear the results of a follow up CT. The staff is an example of the care that Dr Tandon gives his patients - that "trickle down" environment and consideration.

Dr. Tandon has had a major impact on my life. I have lived with complex partial seizures for a great many years. When other doctors didn't have an answer he provided me with so much enlightenment and confidence to move forward with a plan. Dr. Tandon was better able to help me understand what i was experiencing as I have a rare case where both the right and left side of my brain was being effected. Under Dr. Tandon's care i have undergone three surgeries the stereo eeg, right and left side ablation where a multitude of tissue and nodules where removed. Since I have undergone the surgeries I have not experienced another seizure. Didn't love the reason we saw Dr. Tandon, since my daughter had a TBI. However, I have to say that we felt like she was in expert hands with Dr. Tandon.

My son was one of Dr. Tandon's surgery patients almost 4 yrs ago to the day. He was the best surgeon and very knowledgeable and informative on what the procedure would hold, the risks and how we would address them when/if they should arise. Choosing him and Memorial Hermann hospital was the best decision we have made yet. My son had an very invasive functioning hemispherectomy( basically removed a lot of the left brain and severed the connection between left/right brain.) My son was born with CP and had a seizure disorder because of it. Since his surgery in 2012 he hasn't had any seizures and is now off his meds and living a wonderful life.
