Daughter has issues, and they worked us in.

Excellent doctor

He wouldn’t listen to my daughter. He would cut her off. Not to mention he didn’t do anything to try to solve her issue.

My daughter was starting to have abnormal breathing while at his office along with abdominal pain, fatigue and headache. He ordered test and wrote the heavy breathing g off as anxiety. We later had to take her to the ER. Even the ER doctors questioned how he missed that she was having or on the verge of having a medical emergency .

I would give the doctor 5 stars however the lack of communication from his nurses is terrible.

Dr. Patel is very attentive to my concerns and needs and I always feel that I can ask him anything without feeling awkward.

We went to Dr. Patel after being unhappy with the GI doctor we were seeing for my daughter who has severe Crohn's disease. Dr. Patel was attentive, answered all of our questions and was very willing to work with us to find a treatment plan that most fits our lifestyle and beliefs. So excited to be working with someone who truly cares and is willing to look outside the box of traditional medicine.

Dr. Patel was great. I am a new patient and he seemed very concerned with my son’s issue. I followed up 24hrs after my our appointment because the pharmacy still had not received the prescription. A staff member named Carita was very unpleasant when I called. I politely asked if they could resend the prescription to my pharmacy. She kept repeating that it’s already been sent and maybe my insurance wasn’t covering the medication so they didn’t receive it. I told her that was ok and if it could be resent even if I had to pay out of pocket, because my son needs this medicine. She was very rude and kept repeating to me the same thing as if I didn’t understand, until finally stating that she would check. I feel as though that could have been the resolution the entire time instead of being rude and condescending when I am only trying to get my son’s medicine. Very frustrating as a parent with health concerns . Aside from this experience I had a very pleasant visit.

First the staff was kind and prompt with getting us in. Then Dr. Patel listened to what was wrong with my daughter and was thorough in his explanation. We were relieved when he got done talking to us. And the medicine was called in right away so we were able to pick it up on the way home. I’m We’re very satisfied with the service and level of care.

Dr. Patel has been the only pediatric GI doctor we’ve seen in the Atl area that has actually listened to my concerns & given me OPTIONS on my daughter’s treatment. If I’m not comfortable with something, he works with me on alternative solutions instead of “My way or the highway.” He’s open to you doing your own research as long as it’s legit, & takes into consideration your personal parenting choices/preferences when recommending a course of action. We had consults with multiple docs at GI Care for Kids before switching to AGA & Dr. Patel. I can with confidence say he is immensely better for treating infants with GERD/silent reflux than that practice!

Dr. Patel is one of the best physicians we have ever had for our daughter and we’ve had many over the years. He listens to her and does everything necessary to help her. We can’t thank him enough for his thorough care and personal attention. We’ve seen him in his offices as well as the hospital and can’t say enough about how kind he is. He is smart and won’t stop until he gets to the bottom of the problem.

This doctors staff is UNRESPONSIVE. You leave messages chasing them up for test results and you get no return calls. Utterly shameful that as a parent, you are concerned for your child's well being and can't get the doctor to respond to your requests for test results. I should never have to call a doctors office several days in a row to get the answers to test results!!!

Very thorough Dr. Sensitive and responsive. Made quick recommendations for quickest and most effective mode of treatment. We live 1hr away, but he's definitely worth the drive.

Dr. Patel has been great with my daughter. He always takes time to answer all of our questions. I never feel like he’s rushing us out. He’s friendly and personable. He’s very knowledgeable and thorough.

I liked Dr. Patel. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions completely and there was not a language barrier.

We transferred to Dr. Patel from another GI specialist for my son bc he has issues gaining weight. Dr. Patel is very friendly, knowledgeable and actually tries to help with any concerns. I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel to anyone!
