My experience with Dr. Bhayani was nothing but exceptional for the treatment of several severe diverticulitis conditions. On my first surgery consultation, he had read all of my medical files and was very familiar with my case, he took the time to explain all of the possible scenarios that I may encounter during surgery and answered all of my questions with no hesitation. This fact alone had left me with a feeling of calm and confidence that I was in good hands. Although my case was very complex, the surgery went very well. He continued to monitor me while I was in the hospital and I will always be grateful that I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Bhayani as my surgeon. Dr. Bhayani took the time to explain to me the steps on the procedure of a Laparoscopic with a possible open with Intraoperative Cholangiogram to remove a stone that had lodged in my bile duct. He removed the stone, gallbladder and repaired my colon that the gallbladder had attached itself to. I am very blessed to have had such a surgeon that took the time to fix all my problems so I would not have to return at a later date for more surgeries. Dr. Bhayani walked my wife and I through my surgery and what the recovery would be like. He reassured us that he was experienced in the procedure and answered all our questions. My experience and outcome was the best I could have hoped for. I was home after 2 days in the hospital. I was capable of walking around and able to have a normal diet. It was as Dr. Bhayani had stated I should expect. Dr Byanani did a fantastic job on the removal of my sigmoid colon, only 2 weeks after surgery I am almost back to full activity! The incisions are almost fully healed & looks like the scars will be very minor. The whole team there at South Bay Surgeons are nothing less than amazing. They also saved my wife, she had emergency surgery ( she had severe intestinal infection). She is now recovering and much better. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone & everyone! When my mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, our family was thrown into so much fear and confusion. Luckily, she was referred to Dr. Bhayani by doctors at Cedars Sinai. Dr. Bhayani immediately went to work setting a game plan, teaming up with her oncologist and radiation oncologist. Most importantly, he spent time to sit down to go over everything, answer questions and really really alleviate our fears. I always assumed that surgeons have poor bed side manners but Dr. Bhayani is so warm and comforting, never in a rush and eager to explain questions that come up. After my mom was finished with her chemo and radiation rounds, Dr. Bhayani performed the surgery. Because it was during the COVID restrictions, we couldn’t be at the hospital waiting area so he called us immediately after the surgery and gave us the good news. Dr. Bhayani preformed major gut surgery on me two weeks ago. I was told by other surgeons that post surgery I would need to wear a colostomy bag for three months. A follow up surgery would be required to remove the bag and reconnect my colon to my rectum. Dr. Bhayani told me he would try to do the operation without the bag. He not only met that goal but also to my surprise, he made only four minor cuts in my abdomen to complete the operation. No stiches. Wounds are already healed. He thoroughly exceeded my expectations. I spent only 2 nights in the hospital and home on day 3. Dr Bhayani is straightforward in his approach, confident in his abilities and honest and caring with his patients. I cannot fully convey how amazing Dr. Neil Bhayani and his staff are. I had hernia surgery two weeks ago and due to Covid and my concerns related thereto, I canceled the first two scheduled surgery dates. Dr. Bhayani completely understood my reasons and never made me feel like I was overreacting or making a mistake and was respectful of my decision. Dr. Bhayani is a rare breed. He has phenomenal bedside manner and is a skilled and knowledgeable surgeon. He has tremendous patience and he answered my abundance of questions both pre- and post-surgery and explained every detail of the surgery and the recovery process. Dr. Bhayani performed my emergency cholecystectomy and he was very kind and informative. He made me feel calm before my surgery by explaining the procedure as well as what my recovery would be like post op. Dr. Bhayani is a great doctor and would highly recommend.

Doctor Bhayani is the best. He, his fellow associates and assistants performed my liver cancer removal operation. Before the operation he advised me to walk and exercise, to reduce my recovery time.  I was released only two days after my operation with Doctor Bhayani telling me I am strong enough to go home. I feel blessed to have Dr Bhayani & Staff as my surgical team. Dr Bhayani is a consummate professional, personable & attentive. My inhome wound care nurse had some concerns, contacted him & he scheduled me an afternoon appt. I arrived to be told that Dr Bhayani is in surgery all day, must be a mistake? Dr Bhayani is very thorough, open to questions and respectful to his patients. I appreciate his taking his time at our appointments. I have never felt that he is rushing out to another patient, rather he takes the time with me his patient and has taken the time to answer all of my questions and to ensure that I understand my medical condition or what is next.

Dr. Bhayani came highly recommended by my primary care physician. Dr. Bhayani is kind, calm, and careful. He is also very knowledgable. He knows how to explain medical issues with the right amount of detail, both in layman's terms and more technically, as desired. In discussing my particular situation he offered me options, pros and cons, and his take on the situation. He also asked for and listened to my own preferences. We easily decided on an approach that we are both comfortable with. I feel that I am in the best of hands.

We were so fortunate to find Dr. Bhayani when my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He cam e highly recommended online and from my PCP, and completely lived up to it . He spent an tremendous amount of time with us and answered all of our questions. He was honest, empathetic, and so clear in his explanations. He did the Whipple operation like a pro in 4 hours! My father bounced back from surgery but most importantly, Dr. Bhayani was there every step of the way.

After a new diagnosis of cancer, I was really shaken and not sure what to expect when meeting the surgeon. Dr. Bhayani's demeanor showed so much genuine concern for me and immediately put me at ease. I feel extremely fortunate to have had Dr. Bhayani as my surgeon. From the first moment he was well prepared to discuss my situation. His analysis of my medical problem was well informed and knowledgeable, and his treatment recommendations were delivered with a comforting professional confidence. He spent as much time with me as I wanted, and his advice for my recovery period was spot-on. Having surgery is not fun, but Dr. Bhayani's careful hand and exceptional skills got me through it.

Dr Bhayani was the flawless professional I had hoped for. He briefed me thoroughly prior to the surgery and explained his additional expertise in the area of Gallbladder. He has superior communication skills. I also asked him if he would remove an additional cyst I had so I did not have to go through this twice. His staff took care of insurance paperwork and it was done perfectly. The good news is the surgery wounds healed very fast and were not a problem for me.

Dr. Bhayani is the absolute best surgeon ever! He is kind and very much in tune to the patient's feelings. All surgeries make me nervous and Dr. Bhayani spent time with me to answer all my questions to put me at ease. He is patient and understanding. My surgery was a breeze. I had my gallbladder removed and he did an excellent job. I had heard horror stories about the scars and not being able to eat like before. I have had zero problems since my surgery and my scars all healed up very nicely.
