Don't waste your time.

I'm glad he's not my neurologist and that I only had to see Dr. Varma in the hospital. He was rude, and his physical exam was pretty violent considering I just herniated a disc in my neck. He also said I can't possibly make very much money as a Heavy Equipment operator that fights wildland fire.

I have CFIDS and Fibromyalgia. But when my headaches became even more severe I didn't want to ignore them. My GP sent me to Dr. Varma. He doesn't believe CFIDS or FM are 'real' and insisted I had Myotonic MD....and now after a biopsy of my thigh he's proven wrong. Can you imagine being told you have something that will kill you...soon and most likely your children too? I offered him research on CFIDS and FM but he refused to read them. Called my specialist in Houston TX a 'quack.' Yet she's world renown in her work with CFIDS patients. Now with new research coming out about a retrovirus found in CFIDS patients I wonder if he will bother reading that! All he did for me is send me to tests I've had several times already (MRIs, nerve conductivity tests, muscle biopsy, etc) and when he found nothing he wanted to just put me on anti-depressants!
