Dr. Nathaniel Acebedo Kho

Hello my name is Billy Ballard, I have been a patient of Dr. Kho for 3 plus years. He is very thorough and professional at what he does. He always treats me with respect as a person and gets the treatment I need and deserve. I was injured on the job and he has fought for me every step of the way.

HORRIBLE! I got to my appointment early to do paperwork and STILL waited 2 HOURS in a room waiting for Dr. Kho before I decided to just leave ! Ridiculous!!!

Dr. Kho is very understanding. He sees my husband. I would recommend him. We do have to wait. But which Dr office do you not have to ????.My husband was injured at his job by a staple gun. Caused trauma to his head. Causing him a brain bleed. He went paralyzed his whole right side. Couldn't speak. But he is walking, talking, moving better. Thank God. Dr. Kho is very understanding. I saw Dr. Kho and they allowed me to arrive 2 hours earlier than my appointment time. The reason why I arrived early was because I live close to 1hr 30min away and my appointment was going to be during lunch time in the middle of lunch traffic and I didn't want to risk getting there late. Of course, I was able to fill out the paper work with enough time. I did have to wait maybe an hour before seeing the doctor. Dr. apologized for me waiting that long which wasn't his fault to begin with. We did have language barrier issues, but with patience I believe we were able to get through to each other. I was a little hesitant to go at first because of all the bad reviews, but it honestly wasn't bad. Also, I was there about a different reason and he told me about something else he had seen. I immediately went to my primary doctor to discuss these issues and was send over to a specialist the next day. It wasn't an emergency. By far the most understanding Dr. I’ve ever been referred to. I truly recommend him. He takes such great care of my mother and I.

Pathetic. He charged my husband $80 for each office visit when the insurance co-pay is $40 for a specialist. He also charged $120 for FMLA paperwork, but did not give the paperwork until 1 month after my husband had paid him and had been to his office two additional times after it had first been given to him. Then, his office kept telling me that they would call me to get the paperwork, but they never did. My husband and myself had to wait 3 hours after the appointment time and he still did not give us the paperwork. Once his office finally stated that the paperwork would be ready he refused ( after my begging, and asking for some detailed information on the paperwork, highlighting what needed to be clarified, and asking for a medical description to be given) he refused to write more on the paperwork other then “defer to specialist.” He is the specialist!!!! He is the only one that could fill out this document as stated by my husbands job. As a result of his negligence, lack of personal care, and even customer service we could lose our livelihood. He does not care about his patients, he passes blame on to others when he doesn’t want to do something, and does not ever admit that he has done wrong. Walk away, say no to Dr. Kho, find someone that pays attention to the needs of their patients. 1/11/2021 (My reply to your nasty statement) - I was not obscene. You are a coward that refused to face the music. It amazes me that you have time to talk to me NOW from behind a computer and could not even come from behind a locked door to explain what you wrote on his paperwork after I waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes. - Also, when a person follows the directive of their employer and ask you to contact their employer and you chose not to, then you end up with a mess such as this. The fact that you can not write down what you said in a patient room that seems like a problem with YOU. You are still and will always be a coward for making your staff listen to me complain about you. Also, I apologized to her before, during, and after my emotional outburst, and told her that I needed you to get the message. That is why I said what I said. I do not need forgiveness. I stand up for those that have been victimized by laziness and ignorance. You need to do better by your staff and patients. Work on improving your bedside manner and treating your staff with respect by owning your Mistakes. They put up with your BS and dismissive because they feel they have no other options. Dr. Kho is very kind and efficient with my dad, Jesus Velasquez. We come back every time because he works well with people

Dr. Kho was very helpful. He was informative in my symptoms and described what were possible diagnosis to a bad headache and anxiety I have. His staff was superb in finding additional specialists and flexible scheduling. I found Dr. Kho and his staff kind, caring and helpful. Will definitely recommend to others!

Dr. Kho is very nice and considerate. My sister was referred here since she needed a neurologist. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. They answered any questions we had and worked hard to help my sister. The medication he prescribed for my sister was very effective and he seemed to know exactly what to do. I am grateful to Dr. Kho for his thoroughness. He diagnosed my problem and recommended exactly what I needed to overcome it. His staff is always courteous and efficient.

Waited for three hours to be seen for an intial appointment. After 3 hours I left having never been seen and without an explanation of the horrible wait. Worst lack of service I have ever experienced. Update due to response from Dr: Dr, your response after 2 years after my review post is a mirror of my waiting in your office for 3 hours. I didnt like his bed side manners. Like hes scared to touch you and is very short with you. I also waited 2 hours for my first visit. Then i go back and have all these charges that they never told me before hand. I found a different doctor.

Horrible experience. I am a nurse and work in the medical field. We waited 2 hours and 30 mins for the doctor ...Why?? Idk and just very unprofessional using a toothpick to pick on my mom's face. I know damn well he has money to buy a special device. I don't recommend anyone coming here.

Most consider, compassionate Dr. ever. Dr. Kho has been taking care of my 88 year old mother for 4 years. Treating her with dementia and Parkinson's. At first ,seeing him for the first time was like hmmmm, but now we would not go to no one else. My mom calls him the lobster Dr , because she is from Rhode island and he loves lobster. I have a very favorable review of Nathaniel Kho, MD (Neurologist), Dallas, TX. I have seen him nine times over 10 months with additional visits to his office for physical therapy. I was impressed with Dr. Kho’s past experience of dealing with military trauma victims and working at UTSW. I have the up most respect for his professionalism and his integrity to do what is right. I was seeing him for a works comp injury. Workers comp was being unreasonable and denying legitimate request by Dr. Kho for therapy for my injury. Dr. Kho was not a bit intimidated by their stonewalling and his unrelenting persistence ultimately resulted in workers comp authorizing the treatment. His dedication voided the need for legal action against workers comp and provided a faster result. I am forever grateful for him being an advocate on my behalf. I also appreciate his openness to alternative forms of treatment I sought on my own; and his humility in realizing the limits of his expertise with honest explanations. He listens to my concerns and is sincere in having them all resolved. Office visit wait times were average. Dr. Kho’s staff was pleasant, willing to please, and while waiting in the waiting room, kept me updated on any atypical waiting. I would highly recumbent Dr. Nathaniel Kho, MD. Dr. Kho was very competent and kind. He explained everything well and gave me my options. During the tests, which are not totally comfortable, Dr. Kho made every effort to ensure my comort and safety. His staff was simply great.

One of the worst Dr's I have ever gone too. I would not recommend a single person there. He and his staff are rude very unfriendily and unprofessonial. I would have a 10:30 a.m. appt and sit and wait int the office for 1 hour and 45mins only to be see in the back for 7 mins missing 2 hours of work. Than they would charge my Insurance 500- 600.00 dollars for a long sevice., and me for an office visit after my ducitable and copay's have all been meet. Whating to refer me to another Dr as if he was my PCP. He has heild up my Bartristic Surgey since June. I am filing a Insurance Fraud and Law suite against Dr. N. Kho ASAP!!! I've been going to Dr. Kho for the last four years. He has been instrumental in diagnosing problems for causes of TIAs, and balance issues. I never imagined I severe sleep apnea, which can cause TIAs. He and his staff are very kind and helpful providing superb patient care.

I was involved in a near fatal motor vehicle collision and Dr. Kho was able to identify a major medical issue that other doctors had missed. He is a skilled neurologist and is very focused on assisting his patients often serving them beyond the call of duty through clinical studies and peer references to filter his findings and assessments further - I cannot recommend him enough. Dr. Kho began to see me 4-1/2 years ago. Barely walking and in a lot of pain he correctly diagnosed, and treated me for multiple neurologic conditions. I had bone, back & joint pain. He referred me to the UT Medical Center Pain Clinic under Dr. Gill and Dr. Amy Phelan. Needless to say, the pain management as well as Dr. Kho's continued followup care has allowed me to return to work full time as a managing consultant for 2 companies, handling Quick Books and Quicken. I am 72 years old.

Super rude and unorganized staff. This doctor loves to "fluff" the bill with unnecessary tests and exams. I am not letting this doctor and his staff make any sort of recommendations about a concussion i have had. You deserve better as a patient, if you are referred to Kho, HANG UP THE PHONE and NEVER LOOK BACK!

Rude staff very unorganized. After I refused to move forward because of everything from the time I made first contact to leaving very rude very organized I am not going to let this guy make decisions about a concussion I have had. It was like a circus. Because they didn't get that I was going someplace else I kept getting calls for test that needed to be done for weeks. Even when I called back that day and the next to tell them I won't be back. UNORGANIZED & waste of time stay away.

If you are contemplating or have an appointment with Dr. Kho, run as fast as you can to another doctor. He is unavailable, his staff is rude and he changes his mind regarding treatment plans. It took me 2 weeks to get an answer from him or his nurse. Truly---find another doctor even if you have to wait longer. You won't regret declining to see Dr. Kho.
