Dr. Naseer A Chowdhrey

I came to him as a new patient, for a second opinion I had been seeing Stephanie J Quandt. He refused to listen to my concerns...spoke down to me like a child...did not perform any kind of numerological exam even after I explained in detail my medical history... he stated due to some of the symptoms, he suggested it could be early onset of Parkinson disease he absolutely declined and blew off my request for further testing and to be referred to a Parkinson specialist he never washed his hands, did not make notes on my chart, and had no clue of my numerological history he never brought in my medical chart or a laptop. He was very condending and rude

I wish that you were able to give zero stars. I had a new patient appointment with Naseer Chowdhrey. He was the most dismissive and unprofessional doctor I’ve ever seen. He spent about 10 minutes with me, did not ask about any of my history or even the dosing of the medication that I am currently taking. He kept questioning why my old neurologist switched my medication and when I told him the reason he told me I was wrong and didn’t know what I was talking about. He did an extremely brief physical exam and told me to schedule multiple EEG appointments. While I was waiting at the checkout he came back to me to ask me personal private medical questions about my medication. This was NOT done in private and is a HIPAA violation. He also discussed changing the dosing of my medication in the hallway without giving any other background information or doing any testing before doing so. I called the office to explain how it made me uncomfortable and how I did not believe I received a thorough exam. Naseer called me back the next day telling me I was a “complicated case”. I questioned as to why he wanted to double the dose of my medication and he told me not to question him because he was the doctor. He also told me that he has over 20 years of experience and I basically don’t know what I’m talking about. Do not trust this man with your neurology care. He spent more time on the phone with me than he did giving me my exam. Find a physician that will listen to you and advocate for yourself and your care. Naseer Chowdhrey is NOT that doctor! The poor reviews for this office speak for themselves.

Don’t waste your time with this guy, go to a real neurologist in Albany, he talked to me for 5 minutes and had me do a few things and tried to diagnose me without asking any history or symptoms, I will be telling my insurance company, not to pay him, talk about a quack, he is the king of quacks, the worst doctor I have ever seen

I wouldn't recommend him for my dog

They are doing well. Following all the COVID guidelines. Friendly people. I’ve never had to wait over 5 minutes

I am surprised by the negative reviews. I have had nothing but positive experiences with him. He is kind and very pleasant. I had two strokes and it will be a very long road of recovery. I will be seeing him again in 6 months.

He carefully explains any issue you, as a patient, are concerned about. He is also very cognizant about prescribing controlled medicines, thereby keeping his patients out of that danger.

Dr. Chowdhrey has always been great with me, he listens well, answers all my questions and shows great concern for me as a patient. I have seen many DRs and he is the best!

Haven't even met the dr. yet, but was told in October the first appt. is January and i asked about my prescriptions and was told as long as i have an appt. i will get them refilled, Been trying since last week to get the rx filled and continue to get the run around, first i was told it was sent, go to the pharmacy and no prescription, now i am told to wait 48 hours, now i am told Dr won't renew without seeing patient. While i waited 48 hours and did everything i was supposed to and understand a process is in place, i tried to explain the urgency and circumstance that i needed meds filled. GRACE was rude, not interested in what i said and cut me off. Still no call back and no prescription. Even offer a solution to fill enough of my rx until Tuesday when my appt is, wouldn't that have been more responsive to a patients needs. Do i want to meet this staff? I think not. Dr ignores requests, office staff gives wrong information and does not care about the patient. seemed nice providing basic info. He never made a connection w/ my seizures & periods. He never explored it. Didn't suggest vitamins or anything else to deal w/ med side effects. Pushed crappy med on me. Also never gave all options for meds. Lied that I cancelled appts. when. They r the ones that cancelled. I described an aura he said it doesn't sound like a onset seizure. No resources given to help deal with new diagnosis. Great Dr. for emergency room but get a new one right away.

Dr. Chowdhrey is arrogant, short tempered and his office help are arrogant as well.

the MD didn't VERIFY HIPAA the MD didn't disinfect or wash his hands the MD was belittling and nasty and argumentative the MD had zero bedside manner and the office manager stuck by him and now I've been blackballed by the practice which encompasses so many other practices in this region. When does speaking up for our patient rights make us susceptible to slander???

This idiot misdiagnosed my father putting him on Parkinson’s meds whiteout a proper diagnosis. We should have sued him. My father ended up hospitalized as a result. He is a quack!

I was scared to see this doctor after reading the reviews. I found him to be just the opposite. He walked in introduced himself, shook my hand and then my husband's., He took time to listen to the history of nine years of symptoms. He examined my husband. He took time to know my husband and who he was before his disease changed him. He offered a course of action and why he chose this path. He took time to offer positive action through reasoning stories. In our experience I would recommend him.

Do NOT go to this doctor! He is beyond rude, pompous, and defensive. Does not listen and has no interest in helping patients. After one shirt consult and one test, I was told he could do nothing with my symptoms. During the consult he said I could have MS or silent migraines. This time he said it is chronic anxiety, though I am in my mid forties with no history of the disorder, only sudden neurological issues that are severely impacting my life. Find someone else. As bad as it gets here.

I tried to reschedule and was told I had to wait another two months before they would see my again - even though they are the ones who cancelled on me. Dr. Chowdhrey is a interesting man quiet soft spoken . I came to him very concerned. He gave me some basic knowledge on seizures and I went on my way . He then saw a 3 second video a seizure I was having and said now I think you don't have seizures . OK..he would only shake my husbands hand and when I asked questions he started yelling at me like I have no rights . It's horrible . His staff is efficient and friendly . I'm only looking for care abs a plan . Don't go there

He told me that there were no tests to tell why there was spasming and involuntary movement from my back down to my foot, after being badly misdiagnosed and left neglected and abandoned after a multi-injury trauma left me completely disabled. My medical record noted that I was faking this symptom, although he prescribed a medication often used for nerve pain and neuropathy, while instead saying that I had been diagnosed with a mental illness I had never been diagnosed with. When Dr. Chowdrey entered the room he didn't even speak to me. He just sat down at his laptop and started typing away. Minutes later he turns and says, Ok. and just stared at me to start talking. I discussed my situation, he didn't say a word or ask questions, didn't examine me at all. He said it was probably migraines and put me on a prescription I need to take for the rest of my life. WITHOUT an examination. He was rude, unhelpful, and unsympathetic to my issues and pain. Disgraceful.
