Dr. Naomi N Shields

Dr. Naomi Shields cared for me and my husband over the course of our recoveries from separate back-to-back injuries in 2020 with an Achilles tendon rupture and an ankle dislocation + break. She put us back together. She has an incredibly kind and compassionate bedside manner and she took all the time we needed to answer all of our questions. She is an excellent surgeon and I believe we are in the best shape we could possibly be in under any surgeon's care. I highly recommend Dr. Shields to anyone looking for an experienced surgeon. She took great care of us and we are very thankful to have found her. Dr. Shields is an excellent doctor/surgeon! I have had numerous foot surgeries in my life. This time I chose Dr. Shields, after several other orthopedic consultations with other doctors. During the initial exam, she listened to my concerns and then explained how she could be of help. I was amazed by her minimally invasive surgical technique. For the first time, in my life, I was walking within a few days after surgery. I literally had no pain! So very thankful for her surgical skill and an abundance of compassion.

Dr. Shields is amazing! My son broke his ankle and she performed his surgery. A different doctor was telling us he definitely needed surgery but after getting a second opinion from her, she had mentioned she would try and fix it without surgery. She got us in right away and with short notice. She was able to fix his foot without surgery which we are so thankful for. She has great bedside manner and explained everything that was going to happen. I would highly recommend her!

I am disabled because of Doctor Shields lack of action. She has a very poor bed side manor. Rushed.

She took my husband as a new patient when diagnosed with Charcot foot.. She explained the history and discovery of this to us in our first visit. she is very personable and patient. She is amazing

I have been seeing Dr. Shields for over 10 years and absolutely love her. She is on the leading edge, takes time to discuss diagnosis, options for treatment and gives her opinion without fluff. I respect her and her staff as they have been totally professional and responsive when needed. I have required 3 arthroscopy surgeries on my knees and I have been totally satisfied with the results. Dr. Shields values our discussion regarding treatment and is thoughtful before considering surgery.
