My doctor discovered that I had large fibroids several years ago and I was referred to Dr. Nancy Germer. It was a very difficult time in my life and I couldn’t have been referred to a better surgeon! Dr. Germer was very caring, gentle, professional, and most importantly, she informed me of all of my options and discussed them at length with me. I made the decision to remove my fibroids at that time, and the surgery and my recovery went very well! In fact, it all went so well that when the time came for a hysterectomy, I immediately set up an appointment with Dr. Germer. As with my first surgery, we discussed all options and everything went beautifully. I would definitely steer all of my friends and family in her direction! I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Nancy and the entire staff. My surgery was amazing as has been my after care. This is an amazing team of women.

I went to Dr. Germer for two separate surgeries and both experiences were wonderful! The first surgery went so well I rushed back to her a few years later when I needed a hysterectomy. She is kind, compassionate and did a great job educating me on all of my options. I work in health care and have high standards for the doctors that I see and she met them all!

I needed to talk about my 'gyn stuff'. She was great! Felt completely comfortable. She did my friends surgery and my friend was very happy with her results. I will keep Dr. Germer!! And tell my friends.

BEWARE! She will put you through a 'diagnostic lap' surgery if she doesn't know what is wrong with you! I talked with a top endometriosis excision expert, he said 'he give simple nerve blocks and tries all methods before ANY surgery' Dr. Germer doesn't have the skills to treat pelvic pain. Never once did she offer a nerve block! The excision expert stated 'it is easy to do, anyone with commonsense can do it, in office, unguided' Please join Endo groups locally and on Facebook and avoid unnecessary treatment and harm from a Dr who doesn't have the skill or knowledge of the disease! Don't take Lupron either!

Tried to issue Lupron for endometriosis treatment, did ablation which made it worse! If you have Endo go to the CEC in Atlanta, GA they know what they are doing! Lupron doesn't cure endo, only skilled excision does. Dr. Germer doesn't have the necessary skills to excise endo!

Dr. did not order pelvic MRI for pelvic pain just suggested diagnostic surgery to "look and see" found "some endometrosis, was removed, female organs otherwise healthy. Pelvic pain continued and was excruciating after diagnostic lap, 6 months later she performed a partial hysterectomy with left ovary removal I was 33 at the time. Now suffer from Pudendal Nerve damage caused by hysterectomy. Seeking treatment from neurologist, he ordered pelvic MRI and was baffled that Dr. Germer NEVER order MRI BEFORE hysterectomy! I don't believe endometrosis was exact cause of pain, Dr. does not do enough investigation on patient behalf in causes of pelvic pain. She gave me several Birth Control pills which I found out later from an endo specialist she should not have given me birth control pills knowing I had endo. He also stated he "NEVER would have given me a hysterectomy" Now I suffer from hormone issues, nerve damage, having to take nerve medicine, physical therapy, I live with daily pain and absolutely regret the surgery and seeing this Doctor. I would NOT recommend her to anyone, she will put you through unnecessary surgery before seeking alternative treatment options. Damaged three nerves, had to fly to Johns Hopkins top nerve team to get them resected. Worst part my uterus and ovary were healthy according to my pathology report; she told me my uterus was bad and the ovary was failing. I don't know why any Dr would remove healthy organs from a young woman leaving her body in pieces with daily debilitating nerve pain. Dr Germer wants to operate on you see a real surgeon.
