AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Worst experience ever. The staff is super unprofessional including the doctor. I schedule a routine check up for my grandfather. When I got to the appointment they told me he has a unpaid balance from 3 years ago of $300. When I initially scheduled the appointment no one brought up the unpaid balance. When I got to the appointment the front desk told me he can’t be seen unless it’s paid. Waste of time. I asked for what was the balance for, she told me something wasn’t paid 2018. What is “something”... I asked why even have me come in when you never mentioned this over the phone, my grandfather needed this appointment because of his surgery clearance for next week. She told me I don’t know. My grandfather get government assistance and all his medical is paid for so the mysterious bill of $300 thy came out of no where. Please don’t go here, he is a scam! Virginia med malpractice law is 2 years-so we couldnt sue him. But he ignored and blew off my mothers symptoms of bladder and colon cancer as her primary dr for over a decade. She is now dead, died in 2015 from bladder and colon cancer-entirely preventable by him giving the tests to see that she had it and to LISTEN TO HER when she said she had it! He did neither, told her she had depression, not bladder cancer. When she died and I went to his office to get her medical records (my legal right), he was entirely rude to me, lied and said he hadnt seen her during those times, and kicked me out of the office. I am 1000% positive he destroyed her medical records so now I have no proof of what he did. Very commercial. They were trying to insist me to schedule an apportionment for getting the allergy medicine refill. I requested him to send more refill for allergy medicine but he wanted to see me for refill. This is common medicine for seasonal allergies and he is not a allergy specialist. Usually, I got refill for a year and very time I called my previous doctor office, they sent those to the pharmacy directly without requesting an appointment. I moved this area recently. He took care of my mother for over 10 years, until her passing in 2016. He is an excellent doctor. He was able to help fine tune her medications better than the specialists we took her to. He was always willing to listen, was patient and gentle with her. She loved coming to him because he always helped her. We were lucky to be able to have him as her doctor.

My family and I moved to Dumfries 4 months ago. I went to see Dr Khan after I was having some respiratory issues. He has a great smile but is lacking in depth of character behind it. When he is knowledgeable or when he thinks hes knowledgeable about a subject hes not afraid to let you know it. When presented with a fact differing from his own experience he is unwilling to check on it. When I came to him for help he makes me feel like a degenerate. His pretentiousness shows the truth behind that Wonderful smile. Khan may be direct but he seems more concerned with the mechanics of the problem than the person inflicted. I think the other review is a little harsh. Dr. Khan is our family physician and has been for the past few years. His office is fast and courteous and you get in to see the doctor without too much of a wait. Dr. Khan has done a good job of diagnosing the problems I have come in with. For example; ruptered a disc in my neck, he said take it easy and bad news it will take a long time to heal. No xrays, no mri. Specialist confirmed his diagnosis with xrays and MRI, couple cortezone shots and about 6 months for it to heal. Before I go anywhere else, I go see Dr. Khan. Always super helpful and explains things and takes his time not rushing. Also big on exercise to stay healthy so that was really great to hear from a dr.
