Munif Hussain

I loved my visit with Dr. Hussain. He really took his time to listen to how I was feeling and my symptoms. He was very thorough in explaining my diagnosis to me and possible treatment plans. I felt very heard the entire time and was thankful he simplified things for me. I would HIGHLY recommend him. He really does care about giving patients quality care!

I am an elderly woman, and saw Dr. Hussain after I had taken a bad fall that resulted in a fracture and lots of bruising. I was hurt and very frightened. Dr. Hussain was very kind and reassuring. He explained everything carefully, and showed me how to look at my ex-rays. He patiently answered all of my many questions. I left his office feeling confident and secure, and knowing that I was in very good hands. I would recommend Dr. Hussain without hesitation to anyone that needs a compassionate orthopedic specialist.

Do not trust this unethical physician, he will abuse any faith patients place in him to excessively bill. For a 5 minute visit, he billed $1,900. This included $500 for the visit (expensive but bearable) and $1,500 after he insisted that I remove a perfectly good urgent care splint and use his $3 CVS finger protection instead. Acted like this was a quick favor but obviously this is a tactic he uses (see other 1 star reviews) to excessively bill for "Treatment of a broken bone in a finger." (As a kicker, the honest surgeon I eventually did see was shocked by the pathetic CVS protector and had to remake my initial splint).

Doctors are competent, caring and well trained and from a business aspect, the clinic cares about happy punters. But four stars because their systems aren’t good at telling you what things cost so you may get a bill surprise (good or bad) and their head office (specifically billing) has long phone wait times and isn’t good at email followup. My experience with this doctor at Summit health was not one of the best. I had a sprain and I was pushed by the doctor to get an orthopedic boot (after telling him that I had one) but he was insisting so much on me getting mine that I got another one. You can imagine my surprise when I realized that this boot cost me 270$ while I could have had it (with next day delivery) on Amazon for 40$. Plus I already had one at home. For the rest, the doctor was a nice person and his advice might work, tho the meeting was too fast for me. So it just felt like this Medical center is more a money center where you have to sell to customer the max of add ons and spend the less time with patient to do as much appointment as possible each day. And this is such a shock to see this in a medical center. Maybe being honest on pricing with client when you are doing more than 5 times the market price, rather than just hand an iPad with a sign here button and no price, and remembering that you made the Hippocratic oath rather than the summit health oath, would allow patient to focus on what they come for (healing, …) rather than everything around (bill, …) because I am sure that the doctor is very good at what he is doing.
