Absolutely an amazing physician/surgeon and even better human being. Dr. Kahlenberg has the best bed side manner I have ever experienced and truly cared about the well being of my wife AND our entire family. He was always honest, sincere and available. Presurgical visit for squamous cell cancer on left shin, and melanoma on right breast. Husband was with me. I was immediately impress by his "bedside manner" in a (for us) stressful situation. I later met medical personnel at 3 diff locations who told me of his excellent reputation as a surgeon. I felt very confident, and unworried, entering surgery. Jesse, the anesthesiologist was also great. Followup appt went well, and i am back to playing tennis and carrying on with my "normal" activities. I have already recommended Dr. Kahlenberg to my family and friends, and will continue to do so. Additionally, I made him a log cabin quilt, which he appreciated! Great guy, and surgeon, and I am so glad i was referred to him for my oncology surgery.

Dr. Kahlenberg was recommended to me when foray diagnosed and now I know why. He along with his staff have been amazing. Explained everything and always available for questions.

While Dr. Kahlenberg is a great surgeon, I get a sense that he prefers women who are in a state of shock over their diagnosis and looking to him as a savior. I went into appointments dry-eyed, with well-thought out questions, lap top at the ready to input his answers and he didn't particularly like that. My husband was told, after surgery, that the lymph nodes were clean. Our whole family ran a victory lap. During the 2 week post-op appointment, I was told that the same lymph nodes are dissected smaller and analyzed and that there was a micro-metastasis. A major surprise that we never saw coming due to lack of communication from Dr. Kahlenberg. Also, during this shocking appointment, Dr. Kahlenberg looked at his watch while I was asking questions and typing information into my laptop. In 2018. August we ended up at Dr. Kahlenberg's office with my wife. At that point she had pretty advanced tumour and 2/3 of her breast was tumour what we didn't know at that time. Dr. Kahlenberg immediately sent us for biopsy and about 8 days later he called me on the phone with the shocking news. My wife had stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. We started with chemotherapy and then mastectomy followed on 28th of February, 2019 and Dr. Kahlenberg did the surgery. After surgery he checked on my wife frequently and came to visit her in her room several times. I have never met in my life a doctor like Dr. Kahlenberg. He is the most professional, caring, comforting, people friendly I have ever met. I think he is the best of the best and he needs to be recognised for the outstanding job what he is doing on a daily basis. We will never be able to say thank you enough for Dr. Kahlenberg what he has done for us. I hope people know how great doctor Mr. Kahlenberg is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Morton Kahlenberg Battling cancer is dead serious matter, any experience Doctor can do a good job, but performing a PANCREATICODUODENECTOMY is not just a “practice makes perfect” Technic, it is mostly a mission! The doctor who has the courage to except the challenge, who’s willing to grab death by the throat to save your life is the best reassurance one can ever ask for, his words “you are now free of cancer” will resonate in my head for the rest of my life, his earnest look of satisfaction makes you feel that you are in the presence of your guardian! Dr. Kahlenberg is an excellent surgeon with a great practice. I can recommend him without reservation.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kahlenberg. He was thorough in making sure that I understood everything, very caring, and a great surgeon.

I don't have the words to express the positive impact that Mort has had in my life. Cancer is terrifying and Dr. Kahlenberg is a calm and soothing presence in an otherwise horrific experience. He treated me like a human being and not a puzzle.

I feel so grateful that I was able to be taken care of by Dr. Kahlenberg and his team. I feel that he and staff are very compassionate about what they do for their patients and the community. Thank you so much for the love and good care I have received since I have been sick.

Dr Kahlenberg was my Surgical Oncologist in 2006 for my colon cancer. I believe he is a phenomenal Surgeon and person. Thanks to you Dr. K. I am still alive 12 years later and have seen the births of 5 grandchildren.

More than I expected from a physician! He went way beyond. He made my family and I feel comfortable and was more than willing to explain my medical situation to us all. Staff is very understanding and helpful.

In 2003 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Dr Kahlenburg was assigned to my case. He was very kind to me and my husband as he explained all of our options. He never once looked at his watch to see how long he was taking to do so. He never spoke over our heads or to us like it was too complicated for us to understand. He was genuine, compassionate, and caring form the moment we met. He has continued to make us feel like he genuinely cares about how this Cancer effected our lives and continues to treat me to this day for surgical consults and follow up. He is human not proposing to be godlike because of his skills. I will always be grateful to him for his ability to treat a patient like a family member. At a time when you are faced with the most dire of diagnosis, there is a person that truly cares enough about you to be real, caring, and knowledgeable. I am so grateful for him. Dr. Kahlenberg is a true professional in every sense of the word. His consultation is 100% patient centered. His knowledge and dedication as a surgeon are superb. His caring manner and compassion for patients comes through in everything he does. I am very grateful Dr. Kahlenberg did my surgery for breast cancer. He is thorough, competent, and kind.

I cannot express enough how wonderful Dr Kahlenber was with myself and my family. He is so comforting, explains every detail, and listened to every concern I had. I am 3 weeks post surgery and doing well. I can understand why his PA and staff are so awesome because he is an amazing and caring physician.

My mother was unexpectedly diagnosed with colon cancer earlier this year. We were shocked and ill prepared for the news. I spent countless hours researching the disease and looking for providers. We finally found an oncologist and had surgery lined up with a recommended surgeon. Unfortunately, less than a week from surgery, we found out that while the surgeon was in-network, she didn't have privileges at an in-network hospital. Frantic, I called Dr. Kahlenberg's office and explained the situation. While his office could have treated my mom like a number, they squeezed her into an appointment that next week on a day that Dr. Kahlenberg wasn't scheduled to see patients. He saw her despite the previous surgeon's office failing to send over all my mom's medical records. Dr. Kahelnberg was very detailed and answered all of our questions. After the first consult, we left at ease knowing that we were in good hands. A few weeks later, my mom's surgery took place to remove a cancerous tumor in her large intestine that was almost 9 cm in size. Although the surgery was tough on my mom, she's a new person now thanks to Dr. Kahlenberg. A few weeks after the surgery, we returned to speak to Dr. Kahlenberg and got the unfortunate news that my mom would need chemo. I asked him to refer us to the best Dr. for the next steps. After a few days, I was called from the new Dr.'s office and squeezed in again. While speaking to the new office, I learned that Dr. Kahlenberg spent a lot of time bringing the new office up to speed. Needless to say, I am very grateful for Dr. Kahlenberg. Sometimes these professionals get lost in their work due to the volume of patients that they see, but Dr. Kahlenberg is different and makes you feel important. Very caring doctor that makes you feel important and explains everything in detail. Would highly recommend him to any cancer patient requiring surgery. His entire staff is great.
