I waited an hour in a waiting room. My overall time at office was 1 and 1/2 hours. She saw me for about 5mins and as I was still trying to discuss my symptoms with her as she was walking out of the room to see another patient. Clearly they double book appointments here. None of the machines worked that I needed to use ie EKG and blood work were broken they said and that was the sole purpose of my visit. So I got sent sick as a dog on a wild goose chase around the city of SD to places that don't even do any xrays and an EKG ect. I never got a diagnosis or any medication prescribed ect.She Monica Perlman is a fraud. The practices she runs are just after your money. They don't care about the patients there at all. It's a real shame that here in a 1st world country that you have people like Monica Perlman running doctors offices like the Perlman clinic in La Jolla. Very unfortunate. I'm reporting to BBR, osha hippa ect

The Perlman Clinic on Ivanhoe in La Jolla is a JOKE

By far the best doctor I have ever known. Listen to what the patient needs. Will take the time to listen to your concern and will go the extra mile to make sure your concerns are addressed. Deserves 10 stars!

Excellent care and ideas

Waited over 30 minutes for check in. Then another 20 minutes in the clinicians room until finally seen.

Perlman Clinic is simply the best. Everyone is courteous, kind, professional, thorough and patient. Special kudos to Dr. Perlman and Roxanne.

Dr. Monica Perlman is my primary care doctor for two years. I like her because she is a good listener, caring, and helpful. She makes sure I understand what she is explaining to me. She respects me and makes me feel comfortable. She is a great doctor.

They haven't been able to record and keep my prescriptions straight in the 4 years that I've been with them. Doctors rotate in and leave within weeks. I rarely see the same physician, and some I do see have no follow up and are gone with a few weeks. When I asked t speak with Dr. Perlman, I was treated rudely. I'm going to leave this practice, they treat me like crap.

They purchased the practice that my father with demintia went too, I was told nothing would change transition would be smooth and level a care and needs would remain the same. ALL LIES!!!! No attempted to provide care for him and his specific need. If you don't fit into thier model they could care less about you.

They have great online tools for patient communication that aren't properly implemented or updated with accurate data so no-one has my up-to-date medical record information online. Getting simple, long term prescription medicines refilled is horrendously difficult and the doctor who was assigned to me after Perlman Clinic took over my old doctor's office a year ago has never seen me. When I spoke to him over the phone just recently he gave me several reasons to be concerned about my care, so I'm changing doctors. Worst medical office experience ever!! ??

I've been a happy and well cared for patient for 10+ years! The Perlman team has taken care of me, my husband, our (adult) children and now my admin team. It just keeps getting better. I've never had health care this good and I make sure whatever plan I sign up for each year includes the Perlman Clinic. Dr. Perlman's team is the best of the best and I'm beyond grateful for all they do for me. I'm always able to get an appointment quickly and the care I receive is outstanding. With everything that happened with Covid, I was grateful to have the opportunity to turn to Dr. Perlman and her amazing team for support. As a business owner, Dr. Perlman took great care of my staff. She provided testing as needed, quick appointments and made sure we stayed well informed. Stephen Caso, Roxana and Dr. Perlman are the best of the best. No matter what is going on with me or any one of my employees, they take our calls, make our appointments right away & take great care of us.

I love all these 5 star revues, further proof 80-90 % of all revues are FAKE & left by friends, family or the proprietor themself - What a JOKE ! They should rename this clinic 'Barnum & Bailey Clinic' - Talk about a total circus, my God ! Arguably the worst experience of my life & I was once held hostage at gunpoint ! If you hate your money & free time I would strongly recommend this clinic - If you like to be called a liar by an incompetent employee & like to be lied to incessantly then look no further you have found your dream Dr's office ! If you like your records being lost, continually called the wrong name & then have them try and prescribe medications & treatments that coincide with another patient then you've hit the jack pot ! Reminds me of the guy who has to have to have his left arm amputated & they accidentally remove the right arm & then they say oopsy daisy, our bad, can you come back in for another appointment, we promise we won't mess up this time - JOKE !

If you like to have an office constantly make a series of mistakes & rather own it call you and say we need you to come back because we are unable to keep our records in order, again DREAM OFFICE ! If you like to have employees get on the phone with you while their distracted on facebook talking to you in incomplete sentences, worse grammar & use street talk that they are unable to do their jobs correctly - Bottom line is in todays busy world people DO NOT have time to get run all over town due to an overwhelmingly incompetent staff , then get jerked around on the phone for hours - Zero call backs & will make you call repeatedly to correct THIER mistakes & then get mad at you because they can't do their job If you are ever feeling like your life is missing lying, run around, deceit, incompetence, professionalism, proper etiqutte & you just want to be talked to by someone who got all C's & D's in highschool who is unable to do their job then you've hit pay dirt with this bumbling band of clowns. A real shame there are patients in REAL need of medical care & these guys run their office like a 2 dollar car wash, SAD !

Perlman's office is THE WORST. she is more concerned with opening up as many clinics as she can TO MAKE MONEY than she is with patient care. She employees whomever she can and they have NO CLUE how to practice medicine or even call in a prescription correctly. once they even let me leave with a printed prescription that wasnt even for me!!!!! That's a HIPAA violation!!! She has no control over her clinics nor does she even practice Medicine at any of them. DO NOT CHOSE HER AS YOUR PCP. trust me you WILL regret it!!!! Unless you want to call them EVERY DAY to tell them how to do their jobs.

The PAs are great (5 stars)! Billing can use some (or a lot of) improvements. Sent me 3 wrong bills in a roll. Called twice already. The last bill was almost correct but did NOT post my payment made 3 months ago! Calling them again!

I'm truly thankful for Dr. Perlman, she is always sensitive to my needs and requests, and super proactive regarding my health-such peace of mind having her as my GP. Her colleagues and office staff are super professional and always go above and beyond in their efficiency.I would give her ten stars if I could!

I had an appointment with Lauren last week. She was very nice and she answered all of my questions. Her nurse Jackie has a positive attitude and so did the rest of the girls at the clinic. I'm excited to make them my primary care office

In search for a primary care doctor I came across Perlman clinic. I have to say I had an amazing experience from start to finish. I visited Perlman Clinic once for an annual physical, of which I am allowed two per year, included in my insurance. The doctor in the exam room mentioned that the appointment was not listed as an annual physical and that she would have that changed. A month later I received a call saying that I had an outstanding balance of $175. I explained that it was a physical and again they said they would change it and apologized for the confusion. Two months later the same thing, and again 4 months later.
