Mojgan Tavakoli

Dr. Tavakoli ruined my foot! She did a Lapiplasty procedure to “correct the bunion once and for all,” along with straightening of my hammertoe. I was told that recovery would be easy/quick. It was NOT!! I have never been in so much pain! The severe swelling did not subside for over 3 months, and only enough for me to wear a WIDE gym shoe. Dr T did not position my bones correctly; my bones at ball of my foot were protruding and I could not walk barefoot without pain. She kept telling me to “give it more time.” After 5 months she did a corrective procedure (at MY expense) but that has not improved anything. My bunion was not corrected, big toe will not move, hammertoe is still too long and does not bend, and I have constant pain/stiffness! I went to another surgeon to have the hardware removed due to pain. Three surgeries later and my foot is worse than before I started with Dr. T. Please BEWARE!!! In my opinion, Dr T is a terrible surgeon and is not honest, ethical.

Dr.Tavakoli is highly-recommended she performed surgery on my feet using the 3-D Lapiplasty and my feet are still healing but feeling great and looking great! I also had several other minor issues like cyst and sesamoid and torn ligaments and so o. She took care of my foot in surgery. I love this Surgeon!! She's worth not having to worry . Thank you Dr.Tavakoli for taking care of me!!

I love Dr Tavakoli. I usually hate doctors appointments but I don't mind my visits to her office. They are always on time and I am not left waiting in the exam room forever. Her bedside manner is spot on and she is very friendly. My diagnosis was explained very well as were my options for treatment. I'll be having my first of two surgeries with her within the next few weeks. I have full confidence she will get me fixed up in no time! I love Dr Tavakoli. I have had 3 appointments with Dr Tavakoli. All 3 the wait time was up to an hour. Her office environment is extremely stressful, lots of people(her staff) in and out with no communication. Waiting room full(she definitely over books way to many patients) With the pandemic having so much people in the waiting room adds to the stress. Staff are aloof and not engaging. Although Dr Tavakoli is very personable, she spends at most 5-10 minutes with you. I find this unacceptable. Very rushed and any questions are brushed a side. I do NOT recommend her and her office as a podiatrist. I regret using het for my fractured foot and won’t be back. It is just too stressful and disorganized.

Dr Tavakoli is amazing. I had foot surgery with her on June 11th and I’m doing great…no more pain, as a matter of fact very minimal pain. Dr T is extremely gentle and her bedside manner is impeccable. She makes me feel like family when I go to the Frisco foot and ankle office. Great office staff too—always very helpful. She's really nice and makes you feel welcome. However, she tried to sell me several products that were uncustomized, and I have a fused ankle. Like if anything, these products would make me worse. She didn't offer a referral for physical therapy, any shots, pain management, or anything besides products really. She just said the doctor that did my surgery did a great job. I am diabetic and have a lot of trouble with my feet. Dr. Tavakoli has been great. She has performed 3 surgeries the last one I had to have a toe removed. She is so caring and if possible, she made the entire process bearable. I will never use another podiatrist.

She did Lapiplasty in December. Next visit she told me she was afraid she had overcorrected it...she had. My toe now points the wrong direction. She said I would need another surgery to correct it. Now she wants to charge me for the surgery to repair what she did wrong. Do not go to her. Horrible.

She overcorrected (per her) my bunion surgery and now my foot is deformed. She told me I had to have surgery to fix what she did wrong. Now she insists that I have to pay again for her to fix it. She said she overcorrects the toe on three out of every 100 patients. Should have told me that before I had the surgery. DO NOT GO TO HER!

While the provide may be knowledgeable. The staff needs training. Buyer beware.

Dr. Tavakoli performed surgery on both of my feet. She is an excellent surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend

Dr. Tavakoli is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Her treatment took care of my foot problem. Additionally, the rest of the staff and doctors are great.

Very disappointed with this place. I went to my 1st appointment and it was like 1-1/2 before even seeing my Doctor, 2nd appointment for my follow up again it was 1hr and still haven't seen my doctor so i left and told the person where you check out not to bill me because i didn't even get to see my doctor ????

I’ll be honest, Dr. Tavakoli is very knowledgeable and polite. However the wait was dreadful. I Pre filled and printed all documents ahead of time l, checked in before the appointment , met halfway from school pick up route with wife so I can be on time and still waited 70 minutes to be called into the room. Then another 20 minutes to be seen. Then the audacity to see a sign in the room asking for patents to give a good review and be shown appreciation with Chick-fil-A or Starbucks gift card. I’m told that the wait times are shorter in the mornings and at 5pm. I understand double booking appointments since patients don’t always show up on time, but 1 1/2 hour wait to finally be seen by the doctor. Great bedside manners, she works with you to accommodate treatment. I go a lot for the amniox shot. You will not regret!

Dr Tavakoli is superb at what she does. Is very knowledgeable and is dedicated to helping her patients lead a normal life! Staff are great, too!

- My mom’s ankle was swelling and she could not walk. Thanks to Dr. Tavakoli, now she is walking ok. - Also Her toes were disfigured and could not wear regular shoes. Thanks to Dr. Tavakoli, Now she is wearing special shoes to control the bon growth. - She feels good about making a visit to the doctor office to see all staff’s and ask them how they are doing and thank them to make her pain go away.

Dr. Tavakoli is an excellent doctor she is very patient, thorough, and understanding. If you have to have a doctor work on your foot she is it.

If you love yourself please don't go by her diagnostic, look for a second opinion. She missed my lisfranc injury for 5 months. She did surgery on December 2016, 9 months later I am almost disabled. I haven't been able to walk for 1 year, now. The surgery failed, but she does not want to address it. After the surgery I felt something mechanically was wrong with my foot that has not allowed me to walk. I have spent thousands of dollars in physical therapy, nerve tests, MRI's, CT scans, X-rays. and my life keeps deteriorating. I am having a second surgery soon, of course with a competent orthopedic surgeon at UT Southwestern MC, going into surgery in the worst physical state I have ever been, I am overweight, with pain in both hips and knees due to lack of activity, all I do is sitting all day. May be she is good with minor injuries, but think very well if you need surgery!! If you love yourself please don't go by her diagnostic, look for a second opinion. Came to Dr. Tavakoli (still love saying that name) after 3 other specialist. She and the staff at the Foot & Ankle Center were professional and courteous. Great customer service. Had a large growth removed from my foot. I am recovering better than expected. No complaints. She answered all my concerns. I couldn't ask for more. I only wish I came to her first. I went to Dr. Tavakoli for second opinion for my daughter who had sever foot ankle problems witch was missed by another doctor by almost a year. Dr. Tavakoli diagnosed her problems and recommended surgery and operated on her. Dr. Tavakoli and her team did a great job and now my daughter finally is able to walk and have a normal life, Also my wife and myself are patients of Dr. Tavakoli and she has been great help to our family. I strongly recommend Dr. Tavakoli.

I called the Foot and Ankle Medical center of Frisco Mon afternoon, per ingrown nail. I had an 8am morning appointment the next day. The treatment was quick and unpainful at all.. I'm so happy that I listen to my friend that refereed me to Dr. Tavakoli , and didn't wait too long to get rid of it and stop suffer. Thank you for a great service and Thank you Dianne at the front desk for quick schedule:)

I haven't been able to walk for 1 year. Surgery failed, but she doesn't want to address it, instead she made me spent thousands of $ in physical therapy, nerve test, MRI's, CT scans and X-rays. My life keeps deteriorating, I am having a 2nd surgery at UT Southwestern, going in overweight, with knees and hips issues for sitting allday
