We were grateful to have a diagnosis after 19 years, but when my husband suffered severe adverse reactions to a medication Dr Boulari prescribed, presenting with neuroleptic malignant syndrome and rhabdomylosis, I immediately called Dr. Boulari. He said in no way could my husband's rapid onset of severe symptoms 15 minutes after the first dose, witnessed by 4 people, have been caused by the medication he had helped to develop and had been around for 30 years. He became defensive and refused to see us at the appointment we had made for the next day. Well, my husband ended up with heart damage. Canada has a black box warning for this medication detailing the dangers that this medicine can cause NMS with Rhabdomylosis. The hospital LBD specialist warns all of his families against beginning this medication for anyone with Lewy Bodies. My husband had onset of Dementia and was otherwise healthy but ended up almost dying due to one pill prescribed by this doctor. We do not trust Dr. Boulari

We find Dr. Bolouri to be knowledgeable in his field. He explains everything in a clear and easy to understand manner . He is personable and kind. My husband and I both like him as my husbands doctor. m.Rostock

Kim, he did this to my mom as well. He abruptly took her off of 2 brain med with no tapering. She had been on them for YEARS. He added 2 new meds & it messed her mind up so much that she attempted suicide and had to be hospitalized. Most doctors know that you taper and you NEVER add 2 new med at once. He was rude to me one time when I simply stated that she had no side effects before when taking a certain med that he refused to refill. Worst of all, he has giant billboard ads with him as the focal point, in Carolina Place Mall!!! Susan Barbee

Dr. Bolouri is a very kind, and knowledgeable Dr. He has excellent on going care for people with brain disorders as alzheimers. I don't know where my husband would be without his care of over 2 yrs..When my husbands' stroke happened, I was so distraught over his condition. With alot of prayers from friends, and the help of this doctor..my husband became better. The disease will not go away, but his help with meds, and caring has been a blessing.

Mom has Alzheimer's. Dr. Bolouri prescribed new meds at our last visit. Mom has had adverse reactions. We called to see if the new med could causing severe drowsiness ! He told us to change dosage! We did and had other problems he prescribed another drug PRN. We were told by Dr Bolouri we call with too many questions and he has 1000s of patients he doesn't have time to answer questions. The sicker your loved one gets the less he cares! He referred Mom for a psych eval with late stage disease

Dr. Bolouri has always been a comfort to us from day one...He has a wonderful bedside manner, and is professional in his knowledge of our care.. I would recommend him to anyone who needs this specialty.. Thanks..Dr. Bolouri and staff Joe and Sandra Avery

Would certainly recommend. Explains things so clearly. Is helping the family understand the progression. Is innovative, warm, friendly, caring.
