I love Dr. Mehra ... she is readily available by phone and email for consultation. She listens and provides very clear advice an example that she gave instructions on diet changes first for irritable bowel. She’s amazing and is so sweet talking with my kids. I’ll alwsys go to her for any GI issues.

We were very fortunate to been able to have Dr. Mehra treat our son. Due to his age he was not very descriptive and his complaints were nonspecific, but he was in a LOT of pain. We really appreciated her sympathetic demeanor. She was able to figure out his issues and gave us a clear plan to follow (went over dosing and frequency of medications and what to look for). She addressed our concerns regarding future reliance on such medication. She really took her time and answered all our questions in a clear understandable way. She spoke knowledgeably and in such a manner that I felt comfortable asking questions. She later followed up on treatment and we’re happy to say we use her treatment plan as needed with great success. I would recommend her without reservation. This review is overdue. I cannot say more strongly what an incredible doctor Dr. Mehra is and how grateful we are that she is who they called when our daughter was injured. I have spoken to several others who have had children with the same type of injury and many have had heart breaking outcomes. I truly believe we owe our daughter’s life and health and to Dr. Mehra’s skill, foresight, and decision making. She was ahead of everything! Since the injury she has provided wonderful care and we are confident our daughter is in the absolute most capable hands as she recovers. Dr Mehra is the wonderful kind of combination you hope for in a doctor but rarely find...warm, patient and comforting...takes time to explain and answer questions, while also incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. I truly can’t say enough good things. If she is seeing your child rest assured they are in the best hands. This review is overdue. If you have the ability to take your child to a different GI specialist please do. Dr. Mehra, did a tremendous disservice to our son. She was his Dr. for 4 years and allowed him to suffer mercilessly when a simple test (she never ordered) could have solved the problem. My son developed high anxiety, and we watched his high school career and life go to pieces because of her utter lack of care. I can say this because after he turned 18 we took him to an adult GI specialist who solved his problem after 2 visits. The adult GI ordered a SIBO test (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) - which is a breath test that takes about 3 hours to complete. The results came back very positive and he was given a 2 week dose of anti-biotics and now he is doing great! There is NO excuse for a pediatric GI specialist to see a patient for 4 years (every 3 months) and NOT have thought to give our son a test that another Dr. figured out in 2 visits! Crippling gas (my son belched like a sailor constantly), nausea and pain are not normal OR in someone's head. Even my son's primary physician stated that his belching was not normal. Dr. Mehra tried to blame EVERYTHING else for his condition - from not eating enough fruit, to having to wake early for his high school band practices, to his anxiety - which was caused by his unending condition! (instead of looking for a REAL medical reason for the problem). You may ask, why we as his parents didn't do something different? As you may know there are not many pediatric GI specialists in the area AND since she was a specialist AND you are begging her for help - that she would do all in her wheelhouse to solve a problem. She actually scolded my son in the last few appointments, telling him that if he didn't get psychological help she would no longer treat him. My son never had an anxious day prior to this condition that plagued him all through high school. I can not tell you how drastically this changed the trajectory of his life - quitting marching band, grades going downhill, attitude etc. -- he can't get those 4 years back and it is heartbreaking to think of what our son had to endure because Dr. Mehra never ordered a simple test AND how differently his life might look today if he was able to focus on his high school education instead of his health. If your child needs a pediatric GI Specialist - I'd avoid Dr. Mini Mehra like the plague. If you have the ability to take your child to a different GI specialist please do. When we asked questions about our daughters health plan and medicine she was very defensive and snarky. We were shocked by how unprofessional she was.

Dr. Mehra is an excellent doctor. Very very knowledgable and kind. Super bedside manner and perfect in every way EXCEPT the office staff, at her Torrance office, is disorganized and not too friendly. It is very hard to leave a message for the doctor. When you are lucky enough to sleak to her, you will feel so much better. But my son, 18, has left multiple messages for her and hears nothing back. I am wondering if she has no control over who the group hires because the office staff does NOT help.

The doctor is very good but the front office is rude, inconsiderate, mean, unfriendly, and overall made my appointment visit horrible. ever time I call or rerecords or information, they're very rude and unhelpful and make me feel bad. I like the doctor but I will I definitely not be returning solely because of the rude front staff. Everything is disorganized, they never pick up the phone, and they re some of the worst health care support staff I have ever encountered. Do not go to this office.
