Dr. McGowan treated me for an ingrown toenail two weeks ago. I was in excruciating pain and was petrified to have anybody touch my toe. I read a very good review on Dr. McGownan and decided I would give her a try. She was tremendous. She explained what she was going to do and that she would not touch the ingrown area directly until it was numb. She said I would probably not like the numbing shots, but I honestly only felt a slight pinch. She took care of the toenail, which was on both sides of my big toe and I felt no pain at all while she took them out. Professional, yet friendly to converse with a petrified patient and make me feel comfortable. Highly recommend her services. Office staff friendly and practically no waiting time to be seen. Excellent experience with Dr McGowan. I’m new to the area but have suffered with foot issues for years. When I lived in another state it took me 6 podiatrists to find the right one. I know the value of a good podiatrist and Dr. McGowan is excellent. Full exam, explanation of diagnosis and clear treatment. She is my podiatrist of choice here in Clermont.

Very successful treatment. I met Dr. McGowan at a local wound center. She started treating me there and continued to treat me in her private practice after I ended the wound center care. She specialises in diabetic wound care as well as standard podiatry treatments. She saved my foot. After and initial wound that had been going on for 2 1/2 years I developed a secondary unrelated raging infection in another area of my foot. She operated within hours and cleaned up my food. 3 1/2 years later from first wound to now, my foot is healed and looks the best it has in years.

I was sent to see her by my primary because of a wound. The doctor was very nasty and rude all the time and imposing treatments, threatening that if I did not, I could have a terrible infection. Charged over $3K just for 1 visit where she cleaned up a wound the size of a quarter in my leg. Worst doctor ever! The office I went was at Health Central, a creepy trailer, close to the Hospital, but they charge Hospital fees on top of it. My feedback is minus 0 if that is possible.

At the time of my exam, I found her diagnostic skills to be nebulous and he communication of the prognosis to be without empathy or real clarity. Found another excellent Doctor who had a completely different diagnosis, had excellent client communication skills and gave me back a healthy usable foot. Find somebody else.

Dr. McGowan has opened an office in Lady Lake. I highly recommend her for any and all foot issues. She took care of a severely ingrown toenail on Friday. She explained everything, was very gentle and walked me through the entire procedure. Today the toe already feels a whole lot better.

complete disaster. saw her twice and she billed me each time and each time she said she needed an MRI result she had ordered. She never got it yet still billed me and did nothing. when she finally got the result she said she had ordered the wrong kind of MRI! Wait times are near an hour and office is messy. Dead cockroach in the corner.

Dr. McGowan is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and is very straight-forward to make sure you as a patient know what your options for treatment are and the possible outcomes. Highly recommend!

Very pleased with Dr. McGowan's no-nonsense, practical approach for working with me as a patient in finding solutions for my foot problems. She always takes the time to listen carefully and offer different strategies for treatment, takes the time to explain the procedures and educating how the treatment works, potential risks/benefits. I have recommended her practice to my coworkers and friends.

What an amazing Doctor. I can't say enough good about her. She's very professional, friendly, caring, and even very funny. She makes you feel at complete ease with her the moment she sets foot in the door. She has been taking care of my podiatry needs for the last 3 years. Since I had started seeing her, I referred my mom there, my son, and my husband who all had different needs. They were all just as happy as I was. I wouldn't even think about going to someone else. She is the BEST!!!!

She is a caring, nurturing Doctor who makes you feel at ease when you are nervous. The care of my feet being diabetic has been excellent. I have an ingrown big toe and she has given such care that it is easier to walk and no pain. I am so impressed with her. Thank you, Dr. McGowan for caring about your patient.

Good Doctors, but poor billing practice. They billed directly, rather than billing Medicare and Medicare supplement. The billing person hung up on me when I attempted to correct this.

Dr. McGowan operated on my left foot two weeks ago and has been treating me for about 3 years. She is an excellent physician and an expert in her field. I am not a fan of doctors and my wife just isn't a fan of people in general and she managed to win us both over. I have been to 3 different podiatrists and chose her to due my surgery and she has provided me with outstanding care. The wait times in the office have been minimal.
