Wait times are ridiculous. Be prepared to wait 60 to 90 minutes minimum to see the doctor. THESE PEOPLE PUT NO VALUE ON YOUR TIME. Only theirs.

I went to Dr. Matouk about 4 years ago to have 2 upper wisdom teeth pulled. I am extremely anxious when I have to go to the dentist. His staff assured me that the procedure would not be a problem. I was thinking about having sedation for the procedure, but the staff said that I really wouldn't need it. Well, the procedure went great! I didn't feel a thing and it only took approx. 5 minutes in total. This time around, on May 3rd, I had to have 2 teeth pulled and bone grafts inserted in their space due to bone loss. I was less anxious this time because of the previous procedure, but still a little nervous because of the bone grafts. Dr. Matouk and his staff were very patient with me and explained everything so I knew what to expect. Once again, I didn't feel any pain. This procedure took longer and I was still showing signs of anxiety, but Dr. Matouk was wonderful in keeping me calm and informed. I highly recommend him for any oral surgery. I have been a patient of Dr Matouk for several years and, as a physician myself, can assure you he is absolutely fantastic! I have lost count of how many implants my wife and I have had performed by Dt Matouk but never have we had a complication or complaint about his work. He is nice, pleasant and affable and his office staff reflects his character. I never thought I could say I enjoy going to a dentist office but I DO there. LONGGGGG WAIT TIME!! Although the staff is polite, the wait time is so ridiculously long!!! As a new patient, this is such a turn off. On my first visit, I waited over 1 hr and today for my follow up appt it's going into another 1 1/2 hr.

I have been putting off my extraction for the longest because of nerves. I cannot put into words how comforting and welcoming the staff made me feel. The staff was extremely courteous about my insurance issue, they spoke with the Dr and was very accommodating. Despite my insurance acting up the Dr took his time to still see me and answer my questions about an injury to my jaw. His bedside manner is excellent I haven’t met many doctors with such attention with their patients, I would definitely recommend this office to anyone who is considering booking an appointment. Dr. Matouk and Dr. Guevara did wonders for me and have changed my life forever. Before I met them, I could not eat properly due to an open bite and overjet issue caused by problems with my TMJ. I couldn't even bite into a piece of pizza! The first procedure I had done was wisdom teeth removal, which all 4 of my wisdoms were taken out at the same time... recovery was a breeze. After that I got braces on to prepare myself for surgery. When the surgery date came, 01/15/2020, I was completely confident and trusting of both of the doctors and the staff that were going to be working on me. Instead of messing with my upper jaw like most often open bite cases are fixed, they moved my lower jaw because it is a less invasive and easier to recover from. I was back to work in a month and I am obsessed with my new smile! Thanks again to everyone on staff, especially Ryan! Edit: after almost 2 years post op and all I can say is I am sad. Not in the work that was done by this amazing staff... but the procedure was not done to the extent I needed. In the beginning it was said the reason for my lower jaw being as recessed as it was due to my TMJs hardly even being there anymore. Due to my age and how much mobility I had, Dr. Michel advised me it would not be in the best interest to do joint replacement but it would be something that I would need to have get done in the future. I wish I had pushed harder to get the joint replacement while they had me under the knife because my jaw is slowly going back to what it was pre-op. I am having more issues with my hearing now as well as pain/fatigue doing normal day-to-day activities. I am a dentist freak (went there crying, terrified & scared) and had a serious infection ingrown wisdom tooth related that led to an extraction with a full sedation (first full sedation in my life and first wisdom tooth extraction). Well I do not know what kind of doctor he is. The staff could excerise some common customer service skills during this pandemic. Mixed up my appointment, thought it was 3:30 when it was 3:00 after fighting a horrible accident on 95 and waiting over three weeks for the appointment. The lady who answered the phone rudely said I was late and of course now we have to wait another week. Since the office is not seeing max customers a call would have been nice so I could of turned around and not driven over 30 minutes here. Dr Matouk's practice was superb for my situation. I had a tooth, a bicuspid, with a split root with infection and wanted that damaged infected tooth removed and replaced with an implant for that tooth. The nurses explained the long steps needed for the doctor to follow, in detail. The office provided the detailed costs for me, along with all my options for surgery. Dr Matouk explained the surgical details very clearly, with the needed delay after extraction for the bone graft he planned for that graft to grow well enough for the implant. I had lifelong fears of dental surgery that I thought were typical of people. I found I had worried needlessly about that. The worst part of the surgery was the injection of local anesthetic. I had expected that. The tooth extraction went well. My bone grew well. Dr Matouk explained why I needed a little more delay as my bone graft, which had been deep due to my infection, needed more time, when he examined me around the time he had estimated as the date when he would do the anchor device implant procedure. After several months, the diagnostic xrays showed that it was a right time for the implant. The implant procedure went smoothly. I felt such relief when the doctor used a tool like a wrench to insert the implant that I had to stifle my urge to laugh that it was almost over. The nurses gave me detailed post operative care for each surgery. I followed their instructions closely. Things were and are going well for me. My former fears of dental surgery? They are long gone. Dr Matouk provided excellent care, along with his nurses and whole office. Everyone in the office provided me with clear information and instructions, and that gave me and gives me today great confidence that I found a dental surgeon and practice that provides very high quality of dental surgery and care. I went in to Dr. Matouk's office after being referred by my dentist. I had a pretty significant open bite I was dealing with for about 2-3 years prior that was starting to affect my speech and my eating habits. It had come to a point where I was purposefully hiding my smile in embarrassment. After my consultation I felt very good leaving it in Dr. Matouk and his staff's hands to take care of me and make sure I could go out and smile again. I had a single jaw surgery around 3 months ago, which was also the first surgery in my life, and I couldn't be any happier with the result. I want to take a moment to thank all of his staff which made me feel very comfortable the whole way through, and the level of professionalism shown throughout the whole process was awesome. They really made me feel like I was in good care going through a "life-changing" experience. For those who are unsure about maxillofacial surgery, I just want to take a moment to explain what my experience was like. Surgery went by very quickly, in and out in the same day. Pain was definitely there for a couple days but it was manageable nonetheless. It took about 1 week post-op for me to feel comfortable eating solid foods again (with lots of care). I was not supposed to be eating anything but liquid or very soft foods for about 6 weeks after but I am very stubborn. My healing went extremely well and my face was only swollen for a couple days before it started to look normal again. I was surprised at how quickly I was healing, but at the same time you have to be very careful in how you move your mouth/jaw since any small movements shortly after an operation can cause pain. My jaw was not wired shut either which I was happy about and it was smooth sailing from there. It just takes patience, but I would rather be patient about appearance-altering surgery than rushing through it, so I appreciate all the advice I was given by Dr. Matouk and his staff. Also, ice cream is awesome post-op, and so is ice-cold gatorade....trust me. Although I felt very anxious about the surgery beforehand, it truly was worth it because I've never felt this good and confident about myself in a very long time. Having bad teeth, I have my dentist on speed-dial. I have had many dentists, and would clearly say Dr. Matouk is one of the best that I know. I am grateful for his professional and expert care. This surgeon's Lefort-1 3-piece jaw fracture surgery left me with a slanted anterior and slanted posteriors. His office was not transparent with me and sent me altered x-rays. To this day, I have not been able to get his botched jaw surgery corrected and highly caution anyone looking for this type of surgery to consider my case. Dr. Matouk is a gifted oral surgeon. I had all my 4 wisdom teeth removed plus 3 other at one time and I didn’t even have to take one pain killer and has no swelling. He is amazing!!! I landed in the hospital for a tooth abscess and I ended up with the best surgeon ever! Dr Guevara is top notch! From seeing him in the hospital and at his office, everything was great. They explained the molar extraction procedure to her in simple terms and made her feel comfortable during the oral surgery & at the follow up appt. They called to make sure she was ok, too. The front office staff and phone receptionists are great, too. Clean, modern offices. The parking is hard for people using handicap stickers. One visit they were all gone. Parking is in the rear of the bank building and their lot is hard to find. I had two wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Guevara this past Friday, January 10th, and went back to work the same day. Not only was this a painless procedure, but Donna and he both walked me through the whole procedure from injecting me with the numbing medication to him pulling out both teeth. It is now day 2 and I feel still no pain just a little discomfort, of course also because I’ve been following all post op cleaning and maintenance instructions. I had IV-sedation wisdom teeth extraction performed at this wonderful practice by Dr. Carlo Guevara. The experience was 5-star from the reception to the post-op care. I had been traumatized at a younger age by dental procedures and this experience completely changed my life. Within three days of my surgery I was nearly 100% back to normal. I've never been to a medical facility with this level of professionalism. They explained and talked with me before, during and after with so much detail and sincere concern for my comfort. My experience at Matouk's office has been phenmomenal for my wisdom teeth extraction. Starting with my first visit, I quickly realized the office had exceptional communication skills, care, and profissionalism. A nurse first took X-rays that clearly visualized where my wisdom teeth were, and I was then met with the Dr. Matouk who gave me his analysis and was willing to answer any questions. At the day of surgery, Dr. Matouk's partner (I forgot his name) performed my surgery, and it went great! The amazing nurses and the surgeon made me feel comfortorable throughout the procedure. My son had upper and lower jaw surgery with Dr. Matouk on July 31, 2019 and the level of care that was given to my son was incredible. This was more than being fortunate enough to have a highly skilled surgeon but there was another element of love and care that was given to my son from not only Dr. Matouk but his entire staff. They worked with my daughters busy schedule and were even able to get her in when they had a cancellation so that she could have a bit more time to heal from her wisdom teeth removal surgery before school started. A tooth of mine cracked in half. Dr. Matouk painlessly removed it and later put in an implant and amazingly just as painless. This was my first time getting an implant and was apprehensive but Dr. Matouk and staff were so accommodating. I would highly recommend them there the best.

Dr. Matouk is a wizard!! I have had bone grafting and a wisdom tooth extracted (on 2 different sides of the mouth) both at the same visit. Then just went back to get my "2" implants put in. ALL procedures done with a few numbing shots with NO pain during.... or better yet afterwards!! I didn't even have to take an aspirin after novocaine wore off, amazing! Dr Matouk is an excellent and professional oral surgeon. On October 31st of 2018 (Halloween day, yeah), my daughter had all four of her wisdom teeth extracted. I was a nervous reck because of my daughter’s illness. My daughter’s primary and specialist doctors assure me that she will be okay. I had worried a lot prior to the surgery, in fact I was more worried than my daughter. Anyway, the office staff, Christina and Miriam, (I apologize for not remembering all their names, ladies and one guy, you know who you are, and the staff who rememered my personal info) all Dr Matouk’s staff were very informative, called me several days before the surgery and two days prior. Also, Dr Kiffel, anaesthesiologist and Dr Piaolo, (speaking especially with Dr Kiffel) very professional and speaks very clearly and Dr Piaolo, very calm. The staff and doctors were very professional during the procedure with prepping my daughter. They advised me that it will take 45 minutes. My husband and I were sitting in the waiting area when Doctor Kiffel (I apologize if I spelled his name incorrectly) approached to inform us that our daughter was doing great. After speaking with Dr Kiffel, office Assistance, about 20 minutes later, she informed us that we can see our daughter. The procedure was very quick. My daughter said, in her medicated state of mind, “ that was incredible”. She requested her teeth which she believes “it’s good for the universe”. A couple of years ago I lost a front tooth due to heavy bone and gum loss. Dr. Matouk examined the area and devised a plan to restore the bone, gum, and complete an implant. Throughout the process, Dr. Matouk explain every procedure in great detail and I was always aware of the next step and cost. I would classify Dr. Matouk as a perfectionist. He wants to ensure his patients are completely satisfied and takes great pride in doing a great job. Overall, I was pleased. The surgeries were somewhat painful, but that is to be expected. Be prepared to Wait! I waited an hour and 45 minutes for my first Consultation visit. For a 9:00 appointment I waited 2 hours. If they know they are running that late, they should call. Very unprofessional. When asked why people that arrived after me were taken first, I as told because their appointment was before me which meant they schedule 3-4 people for the same time. Make sure you bring your " Patience" with you when you come here!

I am extremely happy that my dentist recommended Dr. Matouk's office for my oral surgical needs. His staff is very professional and kind and Dr. Matouk is very gentle and did a wonderful job in making sure that I did not feel any pain during my procedure. My follow-up exam was excellent, in great part, due to his staff's explanation of what I should and should not do after my surgery. I was released with a clean bill of health! Kuddos to Dr. Matouk and his fine staff for a job well done.
