Dr Wolfe made a strange comment: I praised the medical assistant for taking my blood pressure and doctor asked how it was. I said the top number was a little high and he said " every time you come here my blood pressure goes up." Was that a joke? It made me uncomfortable

Diagnosed my issue correctly but said there wasn’t much we could do besides symptom management. The root cause of my issue was addressed a couple of years later by another practitioner. The root cause was tricky to find, but between that miss and a comment that was just wrong (i.e. that ingesting a hormone would have the same effect as it used topically), I question his attention to detail and rigor in figuring out the “why” behind unusual cases.

This doctor has a very large ego and when things don’t go right during an appointment he doesn’t know how to handle himself. I went in for removal of some very hard impacted earwax. The appointment was fine until he had trouble with the extraction. It became painful and I was (naturally) flinching because I had never had an instrument painfully inserted deep into my ear canal. He got frustrated (rude, actually) and told me I had to stay still. I said that was impossible with what he was doing. THEN he started rooting around with a microsuction probe, which blasts a compressed air/suction sound at 100+ decibels directly into the ear canal. Clearly just what a patient needs when they already have hearing trouble. Unfortunately I didn’t know better. He finally gave up and sent me away to find some eardrops and figure it out on ny own. The visit was 100% worthless and actually caused damage because the tinnitus made worse by the microsuction has never gone away. I recommend you steer FAR clear of this doctor and his bad attitude. I said "No" and he literally laughed. Like a full dramatic laugh. He proceeded to ask me questions and was mean and dismissive. Way too common experience for women, especially young women. I literally just left about 4 minutes into the appointment because he was so mean. I left crying, feeling so bullied. Hated this, would not recommend to anyone. Horrible experience. Great experience with Dr.Wolfe.... He's the third specialist I've seen regarding the same condition and he explained it in terms even an average guy like me could understand. I wouldn't hesitate to refer him to other's. Really personable.... Thank you!

Dr. Wolfe is truly amazing. He figured out what was wrong with me in a few minutes, when multiple Dr.'s could not figure it out for over 1 year. He is very down to earth, compassionate and helped to educate me. He truly cares, which is very hard to find. I am so blessed to have been referred to this Dr.

Poor diagnostic work, this doctor lacks in remedying proper fundamental procedures. I would not reccomend this doctor. Also makes inappropriate jokes and small talk at the patients expense.

A patient came in on a stretcher to see Dr. Wolfe (ENT) for an appointment that would take at least thirty minutes. The patient showed up 15 minutes late due to Swedish not arranging a transporter, and he wasn’t given a walker (suppose to be provided by Swedish) so he can walk into the exam room. Obviously this patient is frustrated because he can’t get into an exam room because the stretcher won’t fit in the rooms and his transporter ditched him. The appt was schedule 15 minutes before Dr. Wolfe’s lunch, in a 15 minute window appt. For most providers, the patient would have had to reschedule. and come back without the stretcher; For Dr. Wolfe’s case, he made this work! He guided his own patient into a procedure room, that is meant for a different department, and he was more than willing to take the time necessary for this appt as well as escort the patient and his family back over to their room at the hospital. This to me is a testimony of not only Dr. Wolfe’s awesome character and willingness to go all out for his patients’ but also a glimpse of what PacMed has to offer the community. Dr Wolfe identified my issue I had been struggling with finding for a year and half! He was referred to me by another doctor and took the time needed to help me immediately since I was struggling so bad. Everyone else has scratched their head and threw random medicines at me to try to help but he identified the issue and I am forever grateful for that! Thank you for the wonderful and educated care you gave me! Highly recommend him! He was very clear in describing what was wrong and what needed to happened and referred me to a surgeon. I had to get a biopsy done in Vancouver and 1) a 3 month wait and 2) I feel much safer with the Drs in USA. So I decided to go private and see Dr.Wolfe. It was the best decision for me. He was so amazing. He explained everything to me and my sister. He had great humor about everything to really take the edge off our nerves and he went through the ultrasound with me step by step, showing me the screen, and explaining everything to me. He then started the biopsy and my eyes were closed but my sister said that he had so much confidence in every action and that he truly knew what he was doing. He is a surgeon and the chief of surgeons as well. He was so down to earth. In Canada they take 1 sample, but he took 5 which I really appreciate. It increases the chances in the biopsy actually having a result and not insufficient samples and also he took a sample from every part of my thyroid nodule. To close off this review, he told me that he is going away on vacation but because he knows I am really worried, I can contact him on vacation and he will check results for me and let me know everything. Excellent doctor. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to him in January. He is thorough, knows how to listen, and above all capable maintaining a meaningful conversation with a patient who is has done his homework. Highly recommended.
