Everything was 5 star from the check in staff to the Dr. He diagnosed the problem immediately and treated it! Couldn’t be happier! Will definitely return as needed.

Dr Tomey is awesome at what he does with your feet. I have seen him multiple times and he is no nonsense and has ALWAYS been correct with my feet. I am 72 years, diabetic, former athlete, and I trust him completely. William Robinson

Awesome place! Called on a Thursday afternoon to setup an appointment to have an old bump on my toe looked at. The doctor saw me Friday morning, performed a small procedure, and I was in and out in under an hour. Professional, courteous staff, awesome doctor, ‘nuff said!

Your doctors and staff are excellent. Your communications are abominable. Today I received a call from the Cary Office. I answered the call and was greeted with dead silence. I don't know the care at this office is. Dealing with their administrative staff was a nightmare. I gave insurance information at the time I set the appt. and was told they just started taking it. The morning of my appt, I get a call in which they said - we're not sure if we take it or not. We might, or we might not, we don't know. It sincerely sounded like they'd forgotten to complete their in-network paperwork and realized it only when they tried to run my insurance the night before the appt. My insurance company rep was gobsmacked. She said they absolutely had to know - yes or no, they had signed the paperwork and were in...or they had not and it was still pending. So I get to go for god knows how much longer in pain because they couldn't get their act together. Nor were they particularly caring about it. I was truly left feeling like they could care less. I saw Dr. Tomey this past week. I wanted him to take the callous off my toe and trim my toe nail, as it was fungal and I was afraid of hurting myself. He made it SO much worse. I am limping now although I did not limp into his office. It has been 5 days since he worked on my toe. He was also extremely rude to me.

Very professional, from office staff to physician. Highly recommended.

I have always had a great experience with Dr. Tomey and his staff. He is such a good doctor that I have paid out of pocket rather than go to someone else. He is very professional, knowledgeable and caring. I have never had a problem with his staff either.

I had Plantar's Fascia release surgery in December of 2017; it did not go well. I had excessive scarring that had been unsuccessfully treated with PT over the course of two and a half years. After suffering numerous injuries as a result of compensating for the pain in my foot, my PT was about to give up on my being able to resume an active lifestyle. Knowing Dr. Tomey had just invested in state of the art Laser technology, I approached him about my situation. Over the course of a month, he was able to treat me with a series of Laser treatments, breaking up the scar tissue. My PT was amazed at the results! He could no longer feel the scarring and I had regained mobility in my foot. I can now run again and resume activities I had not done in over three years! I am even able to wear normal shoes without orthotics.

I visited recently on recommendation from a friend. I was very pleased with the visit, Dr. Tomey handled my issue very well, gave me good advice. He and the staff were very careful about masks, social distancing, etc. I was glad I didn't read the reviews before going as the negative reviews, which I totally disagree with, might have turned me off and I am so glad I went. I will be back.

I went here to get an ingrown toenail removed, and they were great! Friendly, officiant and little to no pain the next day either.

So glad I finally went to see what was wrong with my toe! Dr. Tomey's office staff were pleasant and attentive and Dr.Tomey's bedside manner and explanations were excellent. 5 stars for this practice! thank you

Had a great experience at this office. I’ve had pain due to a trauma for quite some time. My issue was resolved after just one visit. The doctor even suggested the best pharmacy where I could get cheapest price on the prescription. And an older gentleman was telling jokes in the waiting room. :) It doesn’t get any better than that! If you are in need of foot care, don’t wait and see a doctor. The cost turned out to be less than I thought, I felt like a fool for waiting and suffering needlessly. I had doctor Michael Tomey and had a great experience. I came in for an in-grown toenail and they anesthetized and cut it back for me on the spot. I do not have an extremely low pain tolerance but I am very, very sensitive when it comes to other people touching my feet and yet I had a really positive experience. They numbed me properly (Initial needle did hurt but not for long) and I didn't feel a THING when he was cutting it back. I went in really worried and am now on the mend with a toe that won't keep bugging me in the future! He was honest and thorough! I have been to two other practices in the area due to bunions and painful feet. One of them performed an unnecessary surgery on a callous! Then I found Dr. Tomey. He gave me the correct diagnosis, I’m following his direction and feeling much better. Staff is nice, little difficult to get in immediately but he is a one man office.

I am new to the area and required podiatry care. Dr. Tomey, and his staff, were great. Dr. Tomey was in the moment with me, asked questions, listened well, and gave me a lot of information re: my status. Very glad to have found his office and I definitely recommend him to all.

When I needed help, Dr. Tomey helped me. I had a really bad ingrown toe nails on my right big toe. I was nervous about the price being a non insurance holder at the moment, but the price was just right and not much as I read over the internet. The care I received felt like I was at a 5 star hospital. He made sure I was well informed of my options and let me chose what I wanted to do. He laid out the pros and cons on the table, which helped me make my decision. I would like to thank Dr. Tomey and all the staff for being so helpful and caring. I definitely recommend going to Cary Foot & Ankle Specialists if your ever have a problem with your feet. Absolutely fansastic job with my high school daughters ingrown big toenail. Explained and Did the procedure on the first visit, gave us options and has followed up with us throughout the healing time. Our doctor was completely thorough when explaining what to expect and how to treat the toe as time went by. We don’t have insurance and they worked with us on that piece of the pie as well. Dr. Tomey is a skilled practitioner. He treated my teenage son and was considerate and spent the time needed to take care of his issue with no problems or residuals, one visit!! The staff was friendly. I would recommend this office without reservation.

Customer service is the worse! I was called about a payment that I was told had not been made; I ordered a pair of shows. I was told they could not place order unless I paid up front, which I did. Three weeks later I get a call that I did not pay, which I did. I called and of course no one could talk to me at that time. I was told someone would get back to me, I waited 3 days no call, I called again, no could talk to me, I waited 5 days called again.

I had an appointment scheduled for 2:30 PM. I checked in at 2 PM since I was a new patient. At 3:15 PM I checked back with the desk since I had not not been called back. The waiting room was not crowded and there were no more than two of us in the waiting room at any given time. I was then advised my appointment was not until 3:45 PM. Commonsense would tell me that someone would have said something when I arrived almost 2 hours prior to an appointment??? I am very disappointed in the front office staff and will not be returning. Just moved here from Tampa and needed an appointment ASAP for continued care from my prior physician. They fit me in very quickly and my experience at their facility was nothing but enjoyable. The doctor is very informative, helpful and professional as well as his assistant. They're great. :-)

I had a great experience with Dr. Tomey. I called in early in the week and was given an appointment 3 days later. I had been suffering from an ingrown toenail for over a month. When I spoke to Dr. Tomey he explained to me that I had several options and explained each one to me. Within a few minutes a numbing injection was administered and I received my treatment, from start to finish it was maybe 40 minutes. Great Doctor. Great work. Very Knowledgeable. I got my in grown toe nail surgery done by him. He did fantastic job. He explained me thoroughly with options, which really helped me taking a decision for the surgery. He does not look like a money sucker, recommending appointments after appointments. He gives an revisiting appointment only if it is absolute necessity. Touch wood, it has been 6 months after the surgery, the in grown toe nail issue, which I suffered for 6 years is gone now. Horrible doctor and horrible place. I took my dad for an appointment and the doctor would not even listen to his complaint. He argued over the amount of pain he was in. He even said a previous doctor had made up words and misdiagnosed the condition. Even thought that doctor had fixed the problem. This doctor would listen to nothing either of us said. I called and made an appointment, and because I was unsure if they accepted my insurance, I had them look up my plan/member information. I gave them my plan information at least three times on two separate occasions, when I initially called and when I called back to confirm my appointment. EACH TIME, I was assured they took my insurance. Today, I received a bill from them for $500, and when I called the office, I was told my insurance was not accepted. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE. They LIED about accepting my insurance, and when I pointed out to the receptionist that I'd made sure they took my plan before even coming to the office, her response was "well sorry". We never waited in the lobby, all procedures were thoroughly explained, and the aftercare was sincere. I saw Dr. Toomey with acute plantar faciitis. He was able to reduce my extreme pain to a manageable level with one visit. On the second visit he helped me learn many methods to deal with this chronic condition. The whole office staff was friendly and very helpful. I just wish I had gone sooner.

They got me in immediately and took care of my problem with a very professional and friendly manner. He explained the options to me and I was treated with the best of care. I took my son to see Dr. Tomey for a plantar wart that just would not go away. We were treated great from the moment I called the office to schedule his first appointment to the last appointment (which was a few days ago). The doctor took time to explain the condition to us, how it occurs and the best way to treat it. He was friendly, engaging and made us feel comfortable. Should I, or anyone I know, ever need a foot and ankle specialist again I will definitely call Dr. Tomey's office.

I have been long time patient of Dr Tomey but no longer..his staff isn't what it use to be resulting in 3 extra trips after errors made on staff's part..in today's world when you pay for product a certain way & its delivered greatly less than promised you go elsewhere to give your business..Dr Tomey is a good Doctor, but his staff..not so much.. I can NO LONGER refer or recommend Cary Foot & Ankle to my family in friends on the grounds of incompetence headed by staff (patient & office)

I am 66 years old this is the first doctor I have ever got up and walked out on this is the poorest excuse for a medical practitioner I have ever seen I would go to my veterinarian before I go back to him

I was not satisfied with my visit to this specialist. When I described my foot pain, I was told it was because of the improper shoes us women wear. How completing insulting and unprofessional to list that as a medical reason for pain. When I asked what was wrong with the shoes I wore into the visit, there was no response because they were completely appropriate. I would not recommend this practice for any reason

Dr. Tomey really took the time to explain orthodics and give us the confidence we were doing proper treatment. Everyone was very pleasant.
