I struggled with ingrown toenails my whole life on my 2 big toes. Painful , but then Dr. Sherwin preformed a procedure to halt toenail growth in this area. What a difference it has made!! The doctor seems incompetent and is rude; the staff is rude; the office is a dump. Avoid.

Dr Sherwin and Carolynne were knowledgeable, efficient, and effective with my big toe nail removal. They were friendly too and patiently answered all my questions. I recommend them!

Dr. Sherwin was super friendly and extremely professional. He helped me with my ingrown toe nails on my big toes (both feet). I have dealt with this problem my whole life. I had the procedure done in mid November, by the end of January I was back to 100%. I was living in pain and didn't know you could permanently fix ingrown nails before this. I couldn't recommend his office more, I was a life-changing procedure for me. I'm so happy I did it, no more painful pedicures and ingrown nail infections! Dr Sherwin did laser treatment on my persistently infected nails (fungus). It is the only therapy that has ever been effective. Highly recommend. Knowledgeable and caring doctor and staff. John Hoyt, MD

I have been coming to this office for a couple years now, and it’s always a great feeling when the receptionist knows you by name and can help you right away. Working with Darla is a blessing, she’s always so kind and really cares about your comfort inside the room. Darla remembers all the stories I’ve told her and always asks how I’m doing or if I need anything. Dr. Sherwin is really cares about his practice and always explains to me why he’s going to do whatever it is he’s doing. He’s not afraid to pull out a piece of paper or use the drawing board to help me understand what’s going on. It’s a great feeling to know that the staff is so small and tight that they generally care about their patients which is comforting. It’s nice to know that you have a staff that cares about you when you go in for treatment. Keep up the great work! Dr. Sherwin is kind, thorough, and gave me multiple options for dealing with my situation. His care, patience, and experience gave me confidence and put me totally at ease.

I needed plantar fasciitis surgery, I had been treated for 18 months with no relief. I contacted Dr. Sherwin and he was very accommodating. He was able to get me in before end of year. My deductible met, so it kept my cost down. He made me aware of the condition, and that some patients get relief and some don’t. I am very happy to say, that almost immediately I felt relief. My foot healed completely with no complications. I still have no pain today, six years after surgery.

Dr. Sherwin and his staff were kind, courteous and efficient. They took their time to ask questions and explain procedure. Dr. Sherwin detailed protocol and never rushed, taking careful concern with my issues. I highly recommend this office. The experience was exceptional.

Dr Sherwin is terrific. I had tried to get into another Bellingham Podiatrist and they virtually lost my referral and all medical records. Dr Sherwin takes time to explain what is wrong with your foot, gives you solutions and doesn't rush you, His office staff are personable and efficient. I highly recommend Dr Sherwin.

Went in for a "cyst" on my foot (or whatever medical term he called it,.. basically a big hurtful lump on the arch of my foot). Doctor Sherwin explained everything incredibly well, was beyond understanding, and the entire experience was amazing. Ended up with surgery to get rid of it, and my foot feels so much better now! It seems like a small little shop, but the doctor and his staff are beyond top notch! I was referred by my trusted GP, and I was not let down! The appointments went amazing, the nurse is awesome, the clerk is awesome, and my surgery (read: my first real surgery) went beyond smooth. I honestly cannot recommend this guy enough to anyone who is having foot problems. (My doctor literally told me he is the best in town!) Dr.Sherwin is a personable and attentive doctor. However, his office procedures are not particularly efficient. I found, dealing with a surgery issue, that he did not adequately disclose options for treatment or address complications. This is a family practice.

My mom went to Dr. Sherwin for basic foot care. Her feet are pretty bad and at the time, she was 86 years old. Dr. Sherwin performed a "simple" procedure on her to straighten out a hammer toe. I was very skeptical of mom having this done but Dr. Sherwin assured us it was a good idea and mom tends to go with what the doctors say. Well not anymore. Mom's primary care physician was shocked that Dr. Sherwin would even consider doing this procedure on my mom and mom ended up with an infected toe and we had to make several trips to the Wound Center. The toe is so deformed and it is much more painful than it was before. Hard lesson learned. I should have trusted my instincts as I never liked this doctor.
