Dr. Michael Ira Schneier

Dr. Schneier was highly recommended by my Neurologist. I had already had two carpal tunnel surgeries by an other surgeon, but it didn't correct my symptoms of loss of grip strength and severe tingling in fingers. After a MRI, Dr. Schneier recommended ACDF. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Schneier and his team. He gave me back my quality of life, and in fact, I am playing better golf than I ever have. Thank you Dr. Schneier.

I had a three level back surgery (L4-S1) in March 21. I see a big difference in mobility and comfort level. Dr Scheier is very personable and I have never had to wait for more than 10 minutes to see him. He's very good with complex surgery, using robotics to ensure precision and accuracy.

Although I was not a candidate for surgery (thank God), Dr Shneier was thorough I reviewing and communicating his view of my case. It was a pleasure meeting him.

Dr. Schneier performed a Craniotomy on me at Sunrise Hospital. He did a great job and I am 90% recovered and thankful for him. I did not chose him; he was assigned to do it by the hospital. He checked on me almost daily at the hospital and he did his best to explain to me my progress and answer all my questions. After leaving the hospital I was supposed to see him for follow up. He did see me once at his office but because he doesn’t take my insurance he said I have to get approval first from them to see him again after I do another scan in 3 weeks. His assistance Carla however, did everything in her power to prevent me from seeing him. Either because my insurance wasn’t good enough for them or most probably because she is one arrogant lazy incompetent assistant. First she refused to have him refill my medication (Keppra) and referred me to the hospital doctor which I never met. She said Dr. Scheier can’t do that. She also told me that they can’t request a pre-authorization from my insurance, my primary has to do it. For that I had to schedule an unnecessary appointment just for that. That took a few days. After a long wait my insurance said they are still reviewing the authorization. They told me if the doctor calls in it would help and expedite it. I called Carla and asked her to call my insurance. She adamantly refused claiming that they can’t do that. Even after I explained to her that the Insurance company specifically told me that it is better if Dr. Schneier calls in. Then I asked her to schedule me anyway until they approve it so I don’t wait a long time after. She again argued and refused. And finally she said that when they get the approval she would call me and schedule me. They received the pre-authorization approval on 7/16/19. I never heard from her. I settled for seeing my neurologist Dr. Harb. Dr. Schneier, I hope you see this. I just want to thank you and make you aware of Carla’s incompetence and bad customer service. My mom had an emergency brain surgery at St. Rose hospital in Las Vegas and Dr. Schneier was her surgeon, he did an incredible job despite the circumstances and my mom's complicated case. During the follow up appointment after she was released from the hospital we found out that there was some issues with my mom's medical coverage, after I explained the situation to Karla (Dr. Schneier assistant) she assisted us very professionally and was very helpful throughout the process. This man who I refuse to call a doctor, said I am medically unfit for the necessary surgery and was very rude, demeaning and treats people like second rate citizens. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone stay away from this man and his lying, so called medical practice.

Dr. Schneier is not only a great surgeon, he is an artist. If it was not for him I would be walking on one leg only! Not only I walk, run and enjoy my daily life, I am still able to enjoy my passion in life which is Jumping my horses. This is a very late thank you from a very grateful patient. Lifelong surfer with history of severe back problems - repeated herniation of disk, starting in Hawaii, 1972, compressed fracture of L-2 and fracture of spinous process in Australia, 1980. All were from severe contact with ocean floor after wiping out in powerful waves. Final straw was severe disc blow out in 2009, from a sneeze! Dr. Schneier took me in immediately for discectomy/laminotomy. Pain and problem free ever since, surfing even with my kid or grandkid piggyback! Miracle worker!
