Exactly what I was looking for in a Dr. I was amazed with the entire staff! Dr Richardson is not only thorough but was interested in helping me potentially get off some of the meds I’ve been on for years, I didn’t even know it was possible. That is a sign of genuine care, and that is so rare these days. I made a wise choice by choosing him as my pcp.

This was the worst health experience of me and my wife’s life. I’ll try to keep this short. My experience: My wife followed Dr. Richardson from Mercy to Esse. She really liked him. He is nice, good to talk to, etc. About a year ago she started having joint pain. It got progressively worse. He didn’t know what it was but used meds to treat symptoms. It got to the point she could barely walk. Went on short term disability, could only get up long enough to the bathroom, could barely shower, etc. It was bad. Worst joint pain all over her body that could be imagined. He thought it was lupus. Prescribed meds. Referred to rheumatologist. Rheumatologist said nothing was wrong. Dr. Richardson then thought it was fibromyalgia. Prescribed meds to treat symptoms. Have to admit, he’s honest to a fault. He openly said he’s going to use the process of elimination with meds until something works. Not wanting to be a lab rat with these very harsh drugs, she took nothing but the thyroid meds she was already on and went to an independent dr. for a second opinion. Many blood tests and two weeks later, she has a Hashimoto’s diagnosis. Prescribed nothing but natural hormones and the like. It has been about 4 weeks, and she’s better. Going back to work next week. The facts speak for themselves. This was horrible and should have been over four months ago. The pain was unimaginable, and all he wanted to do was prescribe meds for the symptoms, not the actual problem. The thyroid meds she was on actually hurt her condition, and none of the others would have helped because they weren’t for Hashimoto’s. In my first hand experience, if he doesn’t know what’s wrong, you’re getting meds. If you’re OK with that, he’s your man. Dr., if you dispute any of this, please call. Best Dr. I drive an hour to see him!!!

Have been seeing Dr. Richardson for several years now and he is always very nice, down to earth, listens to what you have to say and is honest. After my last doctor moved it took me awhile to find a doctor I was comfortable with until meeting Dr. Richardson . Can not say enough good things about him and would highly recommend.
