Wonderful surgeon and post op care

Wow! Dr. McNamara was a class act. Took his time explaining everything to me during the appointment. Was very kind and thorough, would highly recommend!

I would not recommend this surgeon. My dads cancer came back due to his incompetence. Him and his office did not help or ask how he was doing. Had this been done. My day would have a better quality of life.

Do not use the Dr. for mesh removal. He tore the transverse colon & left us the pleasure of an open wound. That wound required 4 to 6 bandage changes a day for about 10 months. Over $8000 in bandage & wound care cost that insurance wouldn't cover. My opinion of this Dr. could not be lower.

I have had several doctors in my life. SEVERAL. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor and the doctor's office. The doctor and staff are rude and not personable. Bottom line they don't care about you. I have had an infection and they made me make multiple appointments but nothing was done. They make you wait for over an hour. I went there one time and the doctor never even showed up after an hour wait. Worst experience I have ever ever ever had. I am so upset and I still have an infection. I've had 2 surgeries performed Dr. McNamara, and both healed perfectly with very little pain. Highly recommended!!

Michael did my colon surgery and he did a great job. I followed his direction and God healed me up. If i had to have another surgery Michael is who I will choose to perform it. He has a gift.

I had Dr. McNamara repair a hernia for me last January and 10 months later I’m completely satisfied with my surgery. Would highly recommend him.

Dr McNamara is no non-sense. Intelligent, great surgeon. I waited at one appointment for a little amount of time but I knew he was in surgery before coming to his office appointments. He removed my gallbladder in May 2017. He was also my husbands surgeon in 2013-2014, when my husband was in the hospital for one year. Great person - Great surgeon. Dr McNamara is no non-sense. Great bedside manner! Takes his time with you!

Very good results with my gallbladder surgery,can't give him a high enough rating! Highly recommend.

Highly personable and skilled surgeon, who communicates well and has a superior bed-side manner.

Not often in life do you find a surgeon like Michael j McNamara.he is the most brilliant Dr. And everyone knows it. The best word to describe him a perfectionist. His bedside manners are better than a mothers. I held off having surgery out of Fear, know I know better.The entire staff from Holly to Jalene to Marylou, thank you. Michael j mohanna.

When Dr. McNamara was assigned to my mom I was a bit worried because the only review I found was for bad bedside manner and that is a big deal to me. HOWEVER, from day one Dr. McNamara was kind, had a GREAT bedside manner, talked to us not over us and explained everything. Answered all our questions and was very understanding with our concerns. I would recommend him and would go back to him with future issues. THANK YOU for all your kindness!!

The place is all over the place they don't have one certain person handling a situation but like to pass it off on the next! I called them back for two weeks while in pain just to be told everytime they will call me back and everytime I called back after not receiving there call back I had to re explain my situation and have test results re faxed a few times! They have absolutely no system or order in place here! Most of the staff is rude every time I call and acts like I'm bothering them when they should have had my stuff in order the first two times! This is his second surgery he has done for me. One was on March 30, 2016 for my appendix to come out, then the second one was May 22, 2017 to Take out my gallbladder due to gallstones. He has done a great job with both surgeries the good thing is he is a perfectionists what he does. Very friendly and caring and answers all your questions and concerns you have before and after your surgery. I would go back to him for sure in the future if I need to.

The doctor was an entire hour late for my appointment. The receptionist was always rude and interrupting me. When I called I was left on hold for ten minutes, then when I finally talked to someone, they did not listen to me and just forwarded me to a voicemail. Amazing surgeon who performed.successful colon cancer surgery on me in 2008. Also chemo port install and removal. World class general surgeon who made a difference in my life.

Dr. McNamara is excellent at what he does! I had surgery with him almost two weeks ago and it couldn't have gone better. He was patient, informative and more than willing to answer any questions I had. He does not rush the patient out of the room and instead is very attentive and makes the patient feel very comfortable with the situation/plan going forward. His staff (and nurse!) is very helpful and kind as well. Would highly recommend Dr. McNamara!
