Great facility. Very efficient and super friendly! I also appreciated the one stop shop for exam and knee brace so I didn't have to run all over town!

Dr. Koester is thorough with a very pleasant bedside manner. His young nurse was amazing; very personable and puts one at ease! Dr. Koester's physician assistant, Hannah is exceptional engaging and putting one at ease!

Quality Care, short wait

Easy check-in, minimal wait for service, very professional people at every turn.

Very nice Dr. He thoroughly explained what the problem was with my grandson and showed me on the X-rays

Easy chicken , caring staff not to mention doctors care and concern and attention I’m more than satisfied with Dr. Koester, MD

The Slocum offices are very efficient and fast. Dr. Koester was very thorough and excellent with my son.

Dr. Koester is amazing. Super knowledgeable and very personable. Would highly recommend.

Excellent experience. Dr. Koester was professional and friendly, asked good probing questions, and was thorough in the exam, diagnosis, and treatment options. Staff was also professional and friendly.

As soon as I signed in all staff were pleasant and took me through preliminary steps to see doctor Koester who was professional compared last X-rays to the recent and discussed next steps. I totally trust his guidance and my care.

All the Slocum staff and Dr. Koester were very efficient and very professional. It was a great visit and was able to accomplish multiple things in the same day since we live four hours away.

I have never had such an efficient experience in a medical setting. I arrived early, as requested, to check-in. Completed that and was sent upstairs. Before I could even sit down they called my name. They took me back for x-rays and said someone would be there to take me back to the doctor. It was a couple of minutes and the doctor was in the room in no time. Dr. Koester was thorough, but quick. Very professional and efficient. Very good follow-up will call describing MRI results and therapy plan.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The provider we seen today we very direct and to the point ( we like those kind of doctors and not the ones who string you along and waist your time) we look forward to having him as a provider for our daughter.

Excellent provider, explained everything carefully and helped me to really understand what is going on with my baby's hip dysplasia.

Dr Koester is an amazing dr he’s always so friendly.He’s definitely my favorite dr at Slocum my daughter really feels comfortable with him.

Dr Koester was so kind and incredibly thorough! He spent so much time evaluating my son and teaching him how to rehabilitate his hurt shoulder. I felt so reassured!

Friendly, professional and very accommodating!!

Slocum is always an impressive and very satisfying experience. Everything is so organized and efficient and the staff is always professional and courteous.

Dr. Koester is such a great Dr. it’s very apparent he cares about what he does and his patients. He always explains everything and takes the time to answer questions.

The entire experience from the time I entered the door until I left was absolutely amazing…..staff is extremely nice and Dr. Koester introduced him self as Mike not Dr. Koester…the Dr listened to me describe my injury and pain I never felt pushed or hurried…..I’m so impressed with the whole experience this is actually my first review I’ve ever taken the time to do….Thank you Slocum!!!! So thankful, that I was able to be seen in the afternoon of the morning I called! On a Monday as well! I was in and out, and everyone was very pleasant and professional! I highly recommend Slocum!

We got there early, 9:10 and our appointment was 10 they got us in right away it was amazing. I appreciate it I was taking time off from work to make this appointment. The staff was professional, we were treated respectfully,. Your all amazing. ,thank you. Thankful your are here.

Such an amazing doctor. The whole orthopedic team is beyond amazing. I don’t think I met a staff that generally has concerns for every patient with so much knowledge and kindness. They definitely made my daughters anxiety disappear and for that I’m so thankful.

Dr Koester. Took time to hear about my symptoms and took immediate action to assist me as well as scheduling a follow up appointment to make sure that the course of treatment was affective. He and his team were very impressive.

As a parent of athletes - I feel so lucky to have Slocum in our backyard. More specifically the incredible staff! Between my boys - we have had many experiences at Slocum - including office visits, x-rays, casts, physical therapy and surgeries! Thank you!

I saw Dr Koestler for severe knee pain not attributable to any trauma. He explains what the x-rays show and what his examination shows. He answers questions clearly, and describes treatment choices. Slocum "rapid access" works smoothly to get in quickly. The only dissatisfaction is that they don't provide visit summary. You've got to pay attention to what's said since it's not written down. This was the epitome of an efficient medical visit. Little to no waiting time. The diagnostic x-rays were taken mere minutes after I arrived in the appropriate lobby waiting area. I was then led back to Dr. Koester's exam room where a medical assistant took my blood pressure and asked some general questions. Within minutes Dr. Koester came into the exam room to consult with me on my knee issue. After discussing the findings of the diagnostic x-rays I was examined and prescribed a regimen to heal my knee. This was our family's second experience with Dr. Koester as he recently saw my wife for her knee issue. Her experience was equally impressive... this really is an efficiently-run facility. I now understand firsthand why my neighbors in Independence recommended it so highly. My only advice, don't bring a book... you won't have time to read it! ???? He saw my young daughter for a knee issue. Very good experience. The entire staff was kind and helpful. Dr. Koester explained things in terms both I and my daughter could understand. Great care!

No words for how kind Dr. Koester is. This needle phobic woman has had the need for several cortisone shots in my knee joint. He has always been considerate of my fears and is very gentle. He treats me with an open mind, not acting as if I am a complainer and he communicates well with me. I’m only disappointed that he doesn’t do replacement surgery.
