Dr. Michael Howard Kabat

He told me my ADHD diagnostic will cost me a 20 dollar co-pay, came almost two hours late to our session, conducted an 7hr diagnostic, and after the session said he wouldn’t be able to determine if my attention deficit is due to my generalized anxiety disorder or to ADHD. 3 months later I got a 900 dollar bill, after I called extremely concerned about the price his secretary talked with him and they cut my cost to 430 dollars. I’m still upset because he knew I had generalize anxiety before I came in for the diagnostic he could have expressed that it would affect if he can or can’t diagnose me.I would give him zero stars if I could. Also do your research I didn’t until now and turns out he has been sued for insurance Freud

Dr. Kabat was recommended to evaluate my complaints of memory problems, attention difficulties, and reduced ability to multitask. Seven months later, I have found his (he had a Ph.D. helper too) evaluation detailed and very helpful. They performed a detailed interview followed by 18 subtests over a 5 hour period. I found Kabat to be very detailed. He had reviewed my past medical records and was very objective in his interview and evaluations of both the interview and test results. Most importantly, his evaluations, together with additional recommendations by Touraj Yari from Ian Purcell, enabled me to understand and solve my problems! Albeit part of a 3 part solution to my balance, memory, and potentially concussion-related complaints, his evaluation was decisively helpful. For instance, his noting of my hearing (understanding) and depression (new to me) led me to the sources in a way that I could address them.

Dr. Kabat and his staff are efficient, courteous, and professional. Dr. Kabat is thorough during his battery of assessments. I trust and recommend his services.

I needed to get testing done because I have a slight learning disability and needed accommodations for school. I was able to get in right away and had my results and report within the week and got approved for special testing accommodations in my college classes.

My mother was referred to Dr. Kabat when she started having issues with remembering things. The office staff was friendly and did all the work for me getting my mothers insurance verified and testing authorized. Once her testing was authorized my mother was scheduled quickly. The office was nice, warm and welcoming. The testing was long, about 4 hours but we were allowed breaks when needed and a lunch break. Dr. Kabat was friendly, upbeat and knowledgable. The report was a tremendous help.

Horrible experience. No up front warning of costs with insurance. I was referred to him for fatigue issues and his diagnosis was to "get more sleep". Pathetic. Not only was he running an hour behind, he ate his lunch while testing me. Stay far away from this "doctor".
