Dr. Hickey is a non-network doctor practicing in an insurance-approved in-network facility. Although he was paid in-network benefits, he billed us for the difference of what he would have earned (another $1,000). Honestly? His greed exceeded the amount of time he spent with me in the hospital. He missed the worst injury I had, discovering it days later. Another surgeon corrected the injury. Yet still, his office is pursuing me for the balance of the charges.

I was actually given his name and called in to find out more about the practice, etc. The person who answered the phone was sooooo rude. She was thoughtless, short-toned, and simply unprofessional. I was in the middle of a sentence and she just hung up on me! Trust me - it was not a mistake. The whole conversation was less than 2 minutes, but the attitude was enough to not make me want to see Dr. Hickey!
